The Word Bearers are the winners of the Heresy. The Emperor is worshipped as a god just like Lorgar wanted. He is a demon prince and the emperor trapped in his throne. I bet his smirk is now permanent
Still undecided between Bearers of the Word or the Sons of Dorn :/ altough i really like the Iron Hands' colours... Ash did an amazing job (as always).
I think Khor Phaeron might also be S & T 3 because ya know Guilliman punched straight through him with the Hand of Dominion, I'd argue losing pretty much the entirety of your torso would reduce your Toughness and Strength a bit.
In the lore, Kor Phaeron was an old man who got slightly upgraded to a marine but never full marine. so he has some abilities etc but is no where near as strong and tough as a normal marine.
Kor phaeron isn't even a full Astartes.. yet he still beat guillimon in a fight and could've killed him but instead he chose to corrupt guillimon. Reason why he's S and T 3 like I've said he's not even a full Astartes, he has a custom terminator armor designed for him wich is cool.
@@childrenofthesun471 Oh yeah he had the chance to do that, mostly by using warp powers to even the playing field, but still he totally did gain the upper hand. Also duh he's an old man who isn't even a full astartes, but fun fact it was right after that attempt to corrupt Guilliman that ended with a large portion of his body and internal organs being replaced with cybernetics because ya know Hand of Dominion removing the majority of his torso, and I was making a joke about that.
@@Haloister ohh sorry i didn't get the joke :/ Honestly it's very cool and kor phaeron is very underrated, I own all the unique HQ characters for word bearers and im so overwhelmed with everything idk how I should build my army(im new to HH)
I hope that they do expansion for things that occured _before_ the Heresy. It would be cool to have the Rangdan Xenocides fleshed out because they are pivotal to the setting but we know next to nothing about them. Same with the Solar Reclamation besides a bits of text. It would also be cool to have Orks to replay Ullanor and Chondax, early awakened Necrons, 'Nids that could be used as Xenos of the Galaxy similar to how Daemons of the Ruinstorm work too.
@@GuerrillaMiniatureGames as a stopgap, could people use the 7th ed Eldar, Dark Eldar and Ork codices, or have the various tweaks/tunings made to the core rules made that unviable?
My only issue is that Argel Tal doesn't have the weapons he got in the book the First Heretic from his Custodes buddy... :( they arm him with demon claws. He should have his spear and sword
Well. No. The Argel Tal model is portrayed as he is on the surface on Istvann V, as with pretty much any character models from the HH line. At this point in time Argel Tal is wielding 2x Lightning Claws, and he's possessed... So it's actually just like it's supposed to be :).
@@Black_Blow_Fly hmm I don't think I'd have to. It's perfectly in universe that a chapter or group of them could have remained loyal. Before people just make it up in their books litterally no one remained loyal or turned traitor against the chapters. It's plausible. Also tbf I do agree, we all play in an alternative universe, 40l is deliberately vague, our 40k is different to everyone else's.
Mad respect to you for the work you’ve done to get 20 videos out on day 1. Really appreciate it. I’m excited to start my Word Bearers army

@Moortis agreed but at the same time lorgar also listened to astropaths mimic the sound of people screaming as they died and thought it was music
You must be a robot. I can't believe in what you've done with this series. Thanks for the videos!
This vid has 100% made me want to collect Word Bearers
Still undecided between Bearers of the Word or the Sons of Dorn :/ altough i really like the Iron Hands' colours... Ash did an amazing job (as always).
I mean Kor Phaeron did beat Guilliman in 1v1 til the plot armor kicked in…
Is that a demon imprisioned within your flesh or are you just unhappy to see me?
just got the new book and I'm looking through it can I give chaplins and other consuls dark channeling to get them the corrupted key word
Thanks for the vid! I think these guys are gonna be my baddies if I do a second army!
thanks for all the vids
Will do WB as third Army with finally Argel Tal leading Gal Vorbaks into battle

I think we’ll need to get past 18 legion books before you see anything like that but yeah, it would definitely be cool.

Cool rules Ash thanks for the review! So glad Argel Tal is on this one but a shame they've taken out my boy Hol Beloth...
I would expect there’s more to come for each legion. Think of these as Index books to 40K.
My favorite legion. Argel Tal is the best.
Custodes call him Argel Small 😄😄😄

Going to do Word Bearers and Emperor's Children ☺️
Grease is the word
one question to Argel Tal does that mean only 1 Gal Vorbak units gets Line troops? Before all Gal Vorbak became standard
Argel Tal makes Gal Vorbak line. So any number of units, as long as Argel Tal is the Warlord.
WB kinda got shafted from phase 1.

I think I've found my army. Loyalist Word bearers. The Emporer was testing us for saying he's not a god. A test which you all failed
Not sure that'll work. Ash literally says at the beginning that there are no good guys in the Word Bearers...40 years of purging will do that.
Meh in my 40k totes could. Haha

Just say they came from an alternate universe.
