    My mom had one nearly identical to this one. Only things different were the front seat and the hubcaps. One of many cars from my family's history I wish I had back.

    Tuve uno del mismo color, pero la versión sport, automático, de dos puertas, vidrios fotocromaticos, control de velocidad de crucero, control de altura de amortiguadores, para caminos rurales, o carreteras de alta velocidad, una verdadera joya.

    When mid-seventies velour luxury reached even compacts - this Dodge Dart SE, its sister Plymouth Valiant Brougham, Chevrolet's Nova LN, Ford's Granada, AMC's Gucci Hornet, so much padded vinyl and velour.

    I struggled with how boxy cars got in the mid seventies. Especially the new safety bumpers. However that said I always thought these had very classy. plain lines which would carry up to the Aspen/ Volare . Great car ! thanks for posting.

    • @jameswillett7186
      @jameswillett7186 2 года назад

      Dennis cars were not boxy in the mid 1970's. When GM downsized all of its so called BIG cars for the 1977 model year that's when cars began to get boxy such as the 1977 Chevrolet Caprice Classic and Impala and for 1978 the Ford Fairmont and Mercury Zephyr.

    Un Dodge Dart Special Edition en Europa...con toso y sus sños debe llamar full la atencion por su impecable apariencia. Seguro tiene un V8 318, un motor de primera linea...en Venezuela se ensamblo este popular modelo.Fue sustituido por el Dodge Aspen.

      A motor runs on electricity. Engines use fuel. They probably didn't show it because it's nothing to wright home about. These cars weren't sold to engine enthusiasts.

    What a beautiful car this is. I love the colour. This is the first burgundy SE I have seen with a black roof. All the others had burgundy vinyl. The other colour I have seen with the burgundy metallic is a parchment top and interior. Also stunning. This one is a 225 (3.7 litre)slant six, which is unfortunate. The 317 (5.2 litre) used the same amount of fuel in the city, but noticeably less fuel on the highway, partly because it has enough torque that it does not need to work hard, particularly with air conditioning. Plus, the 318 has a beautiful exhaust note, particularly when a dual exhaust is fitted.

    I wouldn't pass on this or the Valiant Brougham. The marketing drawback was that Chrysler did not offer power options (PW, PDL, Granada/Monarch even offered a power seat and moonroof). They remedied most of that in 76 with the Aspen/Volare, though there are still people who would say the Dart was a better car despite dating back - essentially - to 1967. The totally forgotten 4dr trio of this year, this segment, though are the Apollo S/R, Omega Salon and Ventura SJ - all made in minuscule quantities. The most unexpected - the Apollo S/R; buckets and console standard: it out Mercedes'd the Granada and you could get a 350 4bbl besides.

      I think the A body should have got a redesign and kept until the K-car, and the F-body should have been a bigger car. Ford's Falcon based cars even got a Lincoln Versailes version.

      @Progrocker70 2 года назад

      @@timothykeith1367 I always thought that too, they could've facelifted them mid '70s. The only problem I'd see is a lack of a wagon.

    Belleza de auto, no cabe duda, los gringos fabricaron excelentes autos en los 50s, 60s, 70s y 80s... después se les acabó la imaginación y el buen gusto, lástima coches y tiempos que no volverán, saludos. Qué precio tiene el Dart ?

    As a child, I used to ride similar cars as taxis. Very solid and reliable, but personally, I don't like the shape nor the acceleration. The Dodge Monaco of the same and previous year were better looking.
