I can’t recall the last time I was so so happy for a GS winner. Especially considering that She’s turning 30 years old next month…
    Congrats Maddy💪💯🇺🇸❤

I have tears of joy in my eyes for Madison Keys for finally getting to lift this trophy. She has overcome injury n a loss of self-confidence to achieve her dream in fine style...she beat the best in the world and finally the favourite, Sabalenka, n kept her cool throughout. A wonderful display of high-quality tennis by both these players! My commisserations to Aryna, who was clearly upset by this loss. It is understandable, coz I think she was surprised by the level of consistent play by Madison. But this is Madison-s time...on the eve of her 30th birthday! Her coach n husband believed in her, along with her team n she did not disappoint...Well done, Maddie❤❤❤

It's nice to see this kind of awarding ceremony where both competitors are nothing but nice words for each other, sabalenka is kinda funny even though she lost, she has a funny personality and Keys is equally gracious.
Good match, good speech. Congrats Madison, well deserved.

Gosh, I teared up when I finally ran a sub-90 for the half-marathon (took me 7 years and 3 injury lay-offs), but that effort pales into insignificance compared to this. So happy for Madison Keys, well deserved.

Her mother said that when Madison was very little, she happened to see Venus playing Wimbledon on tv and said, “I want that pretty white dress.” Her parents replied she can but she has to play tennis. 2 weeks passed and no dress, she asked her parents, “where’s the dress and the stick?”

How to beat Sabalenka? Let her beat herself. She was so overconfident throughout the tournament. Then she faced Keys who drew the first blood.

Couple of years ago they were going to strip Australia of holding a slam, its the only one in the southern hemisphere which would put it apart from the others as the effort of fighting timezones and distance and definitely one to win if you're a professional

*Aryna Sabalenka's deliberate premeditated ridiculous noise has nothing to do with muscle control* - she does it because she knows it gives her an advantage, an unsportsmanlike advantage. Everyone knows that an army attacking another army screams and shouts to frighten and intimidate. Nice that Keys could endure
Sabalenka's unsportsmanlike obnoxious scream without losing her head.

They say it started back with SELES ..seles later admitted her coach told her to do it to distract her opponent ...sadly it's hung around it seems to be mostly a Europen thing today the officials im sure don't want it but havnt done anything about it despite thousands of fans who want it
      Sorted out
