    I am so so happy for Madison. Madi had the toughest draw of the tournament in beating no.1 and no. 2. She had to beat three top 10 players and top 20 opponents to get through to this incredible achievement. She literally did the impossible. She fought and overcame all the negative mindset of the past. This win is not just about winning a slam but about overcoming her dark side. I love Madi's journey. Such a hard worker. Enjoy this one. It was tough and well earned. Her serving was impressive. Not a single double fault. Forehand was firing. Now rest up because you're going to be doing a lot of winning this year. I wish you good health. If Madison is healthy, she will win Wimbledon. No one will be able to touch her phenomenal serve or forehand on that surface. Keep on shining queen!

      That's what happens when you win the tournament from outside the Top 10, but she certainly had to work for it and certainly deserved it. It is possible that her draw was tougher because she missed AO 2024 too.

    • @machineofadream
      @machineofadream 9 дней назад +2

      Nah, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who won from a harder draw. I'd love to even hear if someone can come up with one. Outside the top ten? When Raducanu won the US Open as a qualifier she only faced two seeds, and nobody in the top ten. The average seed of Madison's last 5 opponents is 9.4. Every player she faced was the best ranked player possible in her draw. I wouldn't downplay it at all.

      And his first time corresponded with the Williams win in 2017. So the stat mentioned was correct, even if not particularly relevant to 2025.
      The really interesting thing is that Biden 2021 was not mentioned. This is why they had to say "while the Australian Open was on". An American did NOT win in 2021. Naomi Osaka (Japan) did. However, the 2021 tournament actually happened in February (it was three weeks later due to Covid delays) so the inauguration did not occur during the tournament.

    Madison redeemed herself in this AO. It has been 7 long years since her only GS final at the USO in 2017.
    Without a doubt, the most deserving winner of this AO 2025, taking out 3 GS champions and 2 formidable opponents in her draw.
    I am inclined to believe Madison all along had the best serving technique and amongst the best in ballstriking on either wing, but somehow lack the selfbelief she can compete with the best and actually beat them.
    I recall one tennis great saying this, "a champion shows courage and take risks".
    Madison demonstrated the heart of a champion in her 3rd set against Swiatek and Sabalenka.

    why are you bringing up presidential inaguration with a professional tennis player who wins her first slam??? what does one have to do with the other. its akin to saying the moon in scorpio was rising as Aries descends and a Swiss player wins Wimbledon. does superstition and voodoo have anything to do with pro tennis? If you put your right sock on prior to your left sock does that make you walk like a duck on odd days of the week? where are these presenters and hosts coming from? the thrown away scrap heap of 2nd rate presenters who can't carry on an adult conversation without bringing something up that is neither relevant and indeed inane? pfft

      Why do a few high level tennis players shriek and scream every time they hit the tennis ball? The authorities do nothing about that even though it is blatantly obvious it is going to have a negative effect on their opponent.
      Just imagine going down to the local tennis court to have a few games of tennis with your wife and she screamed like that every time she hit the ball at you! Oh boy!
      Well done Madison!
      You beat Screamer Arena!
