I am so so happy for Madison. Madi had the toughest draw of the tournament in beating no.1 and no. 2. She had to beat three top 10 players and top 20 opponents to get through to this incredible achievement. She literally did the impossible. She fought and overcame all the negative mindset of the past. This win is not just about winning a slam but about overcoming her dark side. I love Madi's journey. Such a hard worker. Enjoy this one. It was tough and well earned. Her serving was impressive. Not a single double fault. Forehand was firing. Now rest up because you're going to be doing a lot of winning this year. I wish you good health. If Madison is healthy, she will win Wimbledon. No one will be able to touch her phenomenal serve or forehand on that surface. Keep on shining queen!
That's what happens when you win the tournament from outside the Top 10, but she certainly had to work for it and certainly deserved it. It is possible that her draw was tougher because she missed AO 2024 too.
Nah, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who won from a harder draw. I'd love to even hear if someone can come up with one. Outside the top ten? When Raducanu won the US Open as a qualifier she only faced two seeds, and nobody in the top ten. The average seed of Madison's last 5 opponents is 9.4. Every player she faced was the best ranked player possible in her draw. I wouldn't downplay it at all.
Beat : No.1 seed : Aryna Sabalenka No.2 seed : Iga Doper Swiatek No.6 seed : Elena Rybakina No.10 seed : Daniela Collin No.28 seed : Elina Svitolina. Very well Deserved. Hope u are staying healthy for so long. I'm feeling so good to watch u playing combining that resilience .❤🎉
Great interviewers! I remember Sam winning at our grand slam against SERENA! And is that Casey Dellacqua? She was an excellent doubles player?? Much love to Australia and CONTINUED SUCCESS!!
Just got reminded of the run she had. Had to beat Iga (#2) and Saba (#1) but also Collins, Rybakina, and Svitolina, and won the Adelaide Open too 🔥🔥🔥 So happy for Maddy!! 🏆
You are such an amazing role model, Madi! Your resilience, mental grit, hardwork, sense of humor, grace and most importantly self belief is so inspiring❤.

Really disappointed to see Sabalenka's reaction to losing the final. She threw a temper tantrum like a little kid would. I thought she would be more mature and gracious. I guess not. Madison absolutely deserved to win this title. She vanquished all comers, the gauntlet of Collins, Svitolena, Rybakena, Swiatek, and Sabalenka. A more difficult path could not have been laid bare. So happy for her and her team!!
I beg to differ. She was gracious at the net and even had an embrace with Maddy. Everyone's entitled to their private frustrations but the media picked up everything for us to see. I was glad she had a towel over her head for some private me time.
@@spitlim Private? She threw that tantrum in front of the whole world. Of course, after acting like that she needed to redeem herself, especially after being two time Australian Open champion. Had she not she would have eroded her image down under.
To beat Collins, Rybakina, Svitolina, Swiatek and Sabalenka in the same tournament?! I can’t remember a champion who had to work through a tougher draw
Tennis players always knew she had the game, but also realized her mental game needed work. Madison proved she could make it all happen with just the right amount of work. CONGRATS!!
I don't know her that well but first impressions she seems like a really nice lady. She manages to do something very rare in this day and age. Make everybody like her even if she is American. Everyone actually really likes her from all backgrounds. Thats rare in this day and age when there is so much negativity and haters. Finally a positive story where goodwill prevails.
"make everybody liker her even if she is american" is an insane statement. The amount of anti-american rhetoric in tennis youtube comments is so hilarious. Its all rooted in pure jealousy.
It was a terrific victory. The semifinal was probably the most exciting tennis. I’ve seen in a long time. The final was fabulous, but I’d like to mention two things. First well, though, I am a big fan of Sabalenka. She needs to lower the volume. It’s ridiculous. Second: you would think that there could’ve been a bit more intelligence in the post match interview, the questioners were banal
She reminds of that line in the wizard of Oz "you've had the power all along, you just needed to find it." She always had the weapons, but now she has the mind to use them. She's been around soooo long I can't believe she's not 30 yet.
...... true ..... still remember the comments of her being a one dimensional player ...... but in this tournament i thought we've seen another Madison with good controlled hard strokes ..... hopes it's stay that way ......
I honestly thing the real final was when she played Iga Swaitek. THAT was the best match of the tournament. Iga had match points against Keys. I am very impressed. She beat Iga, Sabalanka, and Rybakina.

Keep it Madi, you are an example for many players that are in dark times, this is your time to shine, your opponents will near to wear sun glasses to beat you,! Let’s go 🇺🇸
I was there but I was cringing at the very awkward interview questions: 1. How did the win compare to getting married? 2. No woman lost more games en route to winning the AO 3. Bringing up politics and in particular the caption “Trump Card” Channel 9, a National and International embarrassment broadcasting this AO. This Open coverage has been dismal , so many inaccuracies passed as “facts” by these so called sports reporters who do NOT know tennis. SMH. Bring back Bruce and Channel 7 as the real home of tennis!
Yes that was cringe! 😮. Casey and Sam barely got a word in! It sounds like America when it comes to the broadcasting; some do great coverage, others do not. The network that carries Roland Garros is changing this season, sigh.
That stat about nobody having lost more games in the course of winning the tournament… I wonder if the corollary of that is that no player has WON more games in the course of winning the tournament? More sets, more lost games, but also more won games.
A small asterisk goes on presidential stat mentioned at 9:55. This is not Trump's first time to be inaugurated as president. But amazing job, Madison!! You deserve it 😀😀
And his first time corresponded with the Williams win in 2017. So the stat mentioned was correct, even if not particularly relevant to 2025. The really interesting thing is that Biden 2021 was not mentioned. This is why they had to say "while the Australian Open was on". An American did NOT win in 2021. Naomi Osaka (Japan) did. However, the 2021 tournament actually happened in February (it was three weeks later due to Covid delays) so the inauguration did not occur during the tournament.
Is she mix, not that it matters but she have such beautiful skin. She played exceptionally well and deserves every moment to shine. Congratulations and get some rest.
Madison redeemed herself in this AO. It has been 7 long years since her only GS final at the USO in 2017. Without a doubt, the most deserving winner of this AO 2025, taking out 3 GS champions and 2 formidable opponents in her draw.
