@@millin-avp-educationav-kin9128 i guess you should check really well how is the charging infrastructure. I don't go there since 5 years, i don't know the current situation.
Awesome! My Mom is one of the many retired Gringos that lives in La Mision just north of Ensenada and we visit her often. I would love to take my Model 3 but fear I would bottom out on a regular basis. Good to know there are a lot of destination chargers when we do eventually either get the Y or a used X.
Frugal, off topic but I'm close to retirement age and living in the Bay Area Ca is so expensive, can you give me a ballpark figure of what a decent 2 bed house cost there in La Mision, thanks
Some feedback on the video: Please use less slow mo’s it lessens their effect Please point out where you are on a map when you stop. Loved the video tho keep it up :)
I agree, though I wouldn't trust it everywhere. I'm currently in Huetamo, México visiting some family here. I wouldn't expect AP to work at all here. That said, I wouldn't trust any Americans to drive here either. Really bad and requires communication between drivers and frequently forcing people to stop or move out of the way.
I am from Baja ! Great Job changing that Mindset that Teslas are not for MX roads. Bringing more to the region will create that momentum we need to elevate the use of EV's and the charge infrastructure in Baja .
Seriously, this is one of the best videos about Teslas. The quality is just magnificent and is even better than some TV documentaries. Keep up the good work, the community appreciates it!!
Great video Ben! I was actually wondering if you would ever do a Baja Trip being so close to the border. I was googling this exact trip a few weeks back and wondered if I could make it in my M3. Love that your wife joined in and the video itself was definitely great production quality! Love this type of content!
We love Baja but without air suspension we're always worried about making the trip. You can probably do it in a regular model 3 but some of the spots might be difficult because of the dirt roads
Great video. I can tell your production quality is getting better and better with every video. For the shots that were outside of your car (@3:08), did you have a friend come along and film from another car? Or maybe that was footage from a different day filming in cali?
Those rooms are just perfect. What more could you need or want. I really loved the thought that went into design, placement and general development of the resort. So many coastal locations in particular are chosen by developers around the world for the intrinsic natural beauty and then that beauty is completely destroyed by insensitive development all in the name of profit. Hawaii, Spain, Italy, Greece, Egypt & Turkey are a few classic examples of this that spring to mind. The resort you stayed at showed that it can be done sensitively & done well. BTW you did a fantastic job filming this. The content & production values really & truly are excellent. 🙋🙋🙋
Just a note... and not a bit deal, but just for the sake of accuracy... Baja Norte/Baja California Norte is not a state. Baja California Sur is a state. North of that, it's simply Baja California. Baja Sur is also one hour ahead of Baja with regard to time zones.
Really nice! Thanks. Never been to Baja. Hope to one of these days. Great music selection and exquisite meals BTW :-) and yes, Nature is always supreme in my book.
great job on using the drone... that really gave us a better perspective of what your experiencing... truly captivating. But seeing what you posted, really helped.
Hi Ben! It's great to see that you and your lovely partner are taking a few stolen moments off to pause and savor the tastes of the S.W. Life! The X looks great! Thank you for another great video!
Great idea. You had great background music and good videography. Casey is now in LA. Maybe get together with him. He is in the process of moving. Those driving shots were great. Guess you used the drone for those or a really long selfie stick. Loved it and her in Texas more on the Cancun side. I drove in 1975 with a buddy on my motorcycle and stayed a few days in Encinada. Great place. Hussongs was not the same after 40 years but vineyards are spectacular. Did a loveboat cruise from LA to Encinada and enjoyed it. No chips available as the first microprocessor was not quite done yet. KUDOS on a great video and hope it is an adventure you two can do together.

Do a couple trips with family and friends each year from N. Scottsdale AZ to Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point) Mexico. It's about a 3 hr trip to the Sea of Cortez and about 15 degrees cooler with an ocean breeze. Gone at least 50 times over the years with no issues but never taken my Tesla. Still not really an option as there are no superchargers down there and the only destination charger I can locate is at Sonoran Sun which we stayed at once and have no plans to go again. Las Palomas is much more kid friendly and Mayan Palace is much more peaceful. So Mexico still not an option. I did do a trip last week with 9 family members (2 vehicles, gear, camping gear). That involved taking the Tesla as 1 vehicle. Spent 2 days in Sedona, AZ at a resort and visited Slide Rock Park, then charged in Flagstaff SuperCharger (for 15 minutes). From there drove to Page, AZ SuperCharger (charged for 50 minutes), we then did a tour of Antelope Canyon (beautiful), then drove to Monument Valley, AZ. Camp grounds had electric hookup (took 8 hours to charge). Camped there for the night and had some great sunrise views of the valley. Then drove to Flagstaff (1 hr charge) from their a couple hours back to N. Scottsdale. So it is doable now throughout AZ. Have a 13kw system at home that overproduces and keeps the Tesla charged for free. That whole trip cost under $20 with the superchargers + $20 for the campground electric hookup.
Yo Ben. Can you send me the link to the Mexico Insurance please. You said Supercharger in Ensenada and I went bananas. I'm going for it in my long range modelo Tres! Thanks.
+Teslanomics with Ben Sullins nice review! One thing I have not seen tested with the Model X is the difference on driving distance when using Range Mode vs without using it. I've tried it on short trips and the range didn't seem longer by much. Let's see you do some long test with some data! Thanks!
Damn, another + for the Model X hopefully the Model Y will have Air Suspension or you can add it after market. Congrats you guys looked like you had fun!
Very cool that you make the trip down south, but things are not as safe as you might think. You made it there and back safely, but that can be down to luck. The last time I was there I was pulled over by a convoy of armed guys belonging to a certain organization (they noticed my IL plates) and shaken down for 1k "travel rights" which I had to pay if I wanted to keep my head on my shoulders.

I’ve driven a Tesla from Austin Tx to Mexico City and it was perfectly fine! There’s plenty of charges everywhere
Wow, fantastic videography that really let the destination speak for itself! Moar please!
See difference between WayMo and Tesla Autopilot? Autopilot will work anywhere without being geofenced. It learns as it goes.
