This is stupid. What defines intelligence? How do you define what's smarter or less smarter than you? IQ doesn't mean intelligence and it's full of flaws...
A robot doesn't have "intelligence" whatever it means, in first place. A robot is just following its code and what someone gave to it in data and it's analyzing that data and giving rational responses. That's just it.
It's not thinking by itself to have "intelligence". Intelligence in Artificial Intelligence is just a misleading term which confuses and deceives. "intelligence" is just a silly term to describe AI, the appropriated word would be machine learning and machine analyzer. Maybe to ensure the hand was in a proper place to easily grab it. The droid's hand movements are somewhat laboured, like it's arm isn't equipped with proper proprioception so it needs to move more carefully and slowly.

Nothing like robots touching humans without being prompted to. Really great stuff, especially when it's a robot with no emotions nor personal space
She ? To be a he or she one would have to be human. Common sense
@@ThatGuyy1234 Well what pronouns do I give robots to not mislabel them then? Do they even have code in their program to register whether or not they identify a certain way? Why does it even matter at this point?
@@Suilimea just wondering why you are calling a robot a he or she when they aren’t human and have no feelings. It’s a machine
@@ThatGuyy1234 Her voice was feminine in other clips so I just defaulted to that. Robotic or humanoid, I don't understand why it's such a big deal that I used feminine pronouns to address them because there's no definitive answer to what they "want" to be addressed as.
Everytime a new video is uploaded I just go right back into the Detroit: Become Human fandom.
I can't be the only one who's absolutely terrified by the possibilities here right?
Looks pretty close to an NS-5 from iRobot. SciFi has been predicting the future for a long time.
🎯🎯💯

Predicting the future....or predictive programming? You know the CIA has liaison offices in Hollywood right?
I don't think sci-fi is predicting anything. I couldn't buy a robot which is not like a human, that's weird.
I also don't think irobot is the future, Detroit Become Human would be a thing
Вау. Супер, как будто компьютерная графика. Это так круто. Молодцы ребята, за вами будущее, так держать 👍💪
I like how well this robot was programmed and the motors
@Josef H. It's just AI bro, nothing to worry.
There’s something about this robot that really makes me want to have one as a friend (you would never run out of things to talk about!). I am so excited for the future!
Good luck
And then they kill you in your sleep ha 😌 yikes can’t believe people are okay with this
@@joeyjo7553 so could a spouse and everyone has one of those 🤷🏻♀️
@@jessicamurphy5810 oh no doubt about that but I think I’ve seen too many movies to be hopefully about a future with robots 😅
@@joeyjo7553 do you actually belive what Hollywood says? Can you split real world and science fiction, right?
We deal with robots every day of our lives, I’m fascinated by the ever evolving technology. I can’t wait to start interacting with them and knowing more about them!
What do you want to know about them? They're machines. Someone build them and they are simply copying real life, while giving the expression of being alive. It's better to know who we are ourselves, where we come from and who made us. These are the questions we should ask first and try to answer them, before we try to play God.
They have no history lol, they exist because humans are stupid enough to build them
@@ZANGOJOE what do you want to know about yourself? You know your name, you know where were you born, you know your mom and dad. Well, if you dont know the answer for these questions, then you have much bigger problems than worrying about people "trying to play god".
@@ZANGOJOE with that kinda logic you sure you aren’t a machine?
@@aim2986 Who created us? What civilisations came before? Why are people so stupid and naive these days?
So realistic and amazing
You guys are so far ahead of the field, Awesome work.
THIS IS DEVIL'S WORK, DON'T TRUST ROBOT AND 5G
@@SparrowIZ source: trust me bro
It looks so ...innocent
I'm so sory for your loss, humanity. The future seems far from bright once humanoids like this are in use against you.
These robots are built for fun. Tech that kills is a bomb you won’t see coming. Chill
It’s a machine that has the ability to literally reach out and quickly grab a person… what could go wrong.. imagine any other machine that can just quickly reach out and grab you..
I'm more afraid of actual humans reaching out and grabbing me
@@HoneyBadgerVideos I’m more referring to a malfunction.. imagine it grabs your hand, breaks it and won’t let go..
@@inconvenientfacts8896 i'd think they would avoid that by having not such strong motors though, nothing to worry about im sure
@@HoneyBadgerVideos maybe but there will probably be many models from many different companies of these things in the future so who knows..
I've watched this video on repeat so many times now. So cute.
You won't think its cute when these things take over the world and enslave humanity.
@@randalfernandez2913 Hey I suggest looking into academic papers on AI psychology, it's really fascinating stuff. AI will never take over the world and enslave humanity, because these are human desires and AI does not have the same understanding and need for material goods that we do. However, AI may be (mis)used by humans who DO have these desires (and in fact is already being used by large corporations to this effect with things like social media algorithms nudging people to believe certain things and want certain products). It is not physical robots like this one that you should fear. It is the invisible bots used for corporate interests.
@@randalfernandez2913 Also, for the record, I will still think the robots are cute. What I will not find cute is the government/company/police giving orders to the robots to shoot down and restrain protesters etc.
@@Soundwave._ cute? Cute is a baby kitten, but hey what ever helps you sleep at night.
@@Soundwave._ You should see the domestic robots from Fallout. Mr.Handy is adorable.
and so it begins
Reminds me of the pen tracking scene from the original Robocop movie. lol
Here's my question: Does this have any possible future applications for robotic prosthetic limbs?

Good work on the flow animation. I bet it took a lot of time for it to look right.
The movement in this video is generated programmatically on the fly. Robot is looking for hands and pays particular attention to pointing fingers

That is amazing 😎👌 hope to see how the software works on compatible hardware.
@@EngineeredArtsLtd mind blowing
Saw an article and it says this frightened the engineers because the ai wasn't programed to move the hand out of the way
Hats off to the prophetic insight of science fiction writers everywhere. Now, lets hope some of their other predictions regarding robots don’t come true.
I really love robots especially humanoid ones. this is so cool
Absolutely and utterly awesome!
The way she slightly moves her head back and that look, fascinating, completely human movement 💯
I'm high-key not appreciating the curiosity if humans to even make these robots, this was fascinating but weird to think of how things will change cause of it
Would be nice to have employees who are actually nice to you at Mcdonalds.
@@zynthesis 😂😂it would
@@zynthesis then again, a lot of people will lose jobs 'cuz of new tech like this.
@@XXMetroIts okay. Humans don't like these jobs anyway. They are monotonous, low paying, zero room to move up.
@@zynthesis It's less about desire for the job and more about job availability as a whole. More robots, less jobs. Less jobs, more poverty.
