Argentina: Beautiful Women and Illegal Money, This is Buenos Aires???

- Argentina is possibly the most interesting nation of South America. Given its long history of immigration from Spain, Italy and Germany it has strong nodes of European culture with a Latin American overlay. Rapid inflation of the Argentine peso has caused Argentina to become one of the cheaper destinations to enjoy. In this video, we will dive into the streets to observe, taste and enjoy the local culture.
You are right New York pizza is different, because the glacial sediment filtered water from the underground aquaphors and reservoirs that feed the New York water shed adds great flavor to the dough.
Keenan, I watch a lot of travel videos and recently found your channel. I must say you’ve become one of my favorites. I enjoy your style of telling a story in your videos. Especially that you go into everyday spots and not just tourist areas. Keep up the great content brother!
I love Buenos Aires. Can't wait to return. I'd love to retire in Argentina. Good cheap food, cheap rent, reasonably safe, good transportation system, high standard of living if you bring foreign currency. A sophisticated world class city where anyone from any part of the world seems welcome. I feel it wouldn't take long for me to integrate myself into the city's culture, it's version of espanol, it's way of life. A big country to explore with just about every type of climate represented. Only thing I saw there I didn't like - young mothers and children sleeping in the street. I'm sure it's by no means not the only place where that happens, but it was the first place I ever witnessed that. Inequality I guess is the flip side of that high standard of living for privileged people like me. There's got to be a better way, but it is what it is.
I have been to Argentina and Brazil many times and I love Argentina!
And where are the beautiful women?
A little bit of Keenan bait and switch....
I thought they were beautiful
You rigth propone its fake
@@KeenanLambert198 You make me wanna get my GOPRO back from the pawn shop with this quality videos, you using GoPro or DJI Pocket?
Except for carnival time, I'd probably choose BA over Brazil. It's wild that it looks like Latin America's version of France with a small bit of NY.
Keenan! You have entered my favorite getaway! I have been traveling to Buenos Aires for over 15 years! So glad you made your way! And yes.....Argentine beef is the best!! Enjoy your visit my friend & Peaceful Journey's!!

Keep doing your thing, my brother . We're doing Ecuador next year. Love the content as always.
I heard you could count the numbers of black people in that country on your fingers and toes
Fingers will be adequate!
At one time there was a sizable black population in Argentina. But in the late 1800s the government there, like in Brazil encouraged whites from northern Italy, Spain and Germany to emigrate to Argentina with the hope of diluting the nation's black population. It succeeded in Argentina, but of course not in Brazil because of the sheer size of black population in Brazil. If people can't exploit, mistreat us black people, they want to get rid of us - same all over the world.
They are some few thousands (that mean, way less than 1%) scattered all over the country and most of them are immigrants.
Another thing are people with a visible level of black ancestry but very admixtured, that in United States are considered black but here not. This people in colonial times were called _mulatos_ (mix among black and white) and _zambos_ (mix among amerindian and black). Both groups are probably 1% of the population each one and the majority are Argentines, but there is not much knowledge about their ancestry (usually even themselves don't know that they have black ancestry).
@@dalerojo2.091i think they inow wweell their ancestries…..
@@DONECPERFICIAM-qs2vt not, it's exactly the opposite. People in general aren't very interested in this kind of things, but ancestries from 19th & 20th centuries immigrants are way more easy to trace until some point.
For example, most people with ancestry from Cape Verde (even in the cases where they have other ancestries on a bigger degree) usually know it, since immigrants from there (who were black for the most part) were free and arrived since late 19th century until the 1940s (when that place was part of Portugal). On the other hand, people with African ancestry from the sl4ve trade of the colonial era, not only is very admixtured but usually don't know this part of their ancestry.
The same goes for people with indigenous ancestry (except in some regions where is very strong), that usually is admixtured too. _Mestizos_ (mix among amerindian and white) are like 20% of the total population (and most of them are Argentines) and usually don't know that part of their ancestors were indigenous.
Just to update you Keenan, Argentina restaurants don't move fast. People there sit down and actually enjoy the food, the environment and just relax and it's not uncommon for dinner to take 2 hours. Waiters don't bug you every 3 to 5 minutes like in the US and quickly deliver your food and hurry you out the door. Slow down and relax for your meal. I had to get used to the slow service in restaurants it's how things are done there, they're not pushy but they allow you time to take in the experience.
That was fantastic. I feel like I'm living vicariously through you - lol. Thank you!
There is only a few passport brothers I like to watch with positive content and this brother is one of them I would like to see Keenan give longer content though but keep up the good work and be safe out there...
Very enjoyable video. Thanks for sharing.
The food down there must be dread. Argentinian cuisine is increasingly more popular in Europe. Even in my city in the Netherlands, there are several Argentinian steakhouses. Years ago I used to buy wine from a Argentinian woman who ran a wine shop here. Fantastic wine, shame it closed because she wanted to return to Argentina. And yes, she was one Hell of a good looking woman, serious pretty!
I kept saying pause during the food segments lol. If I was a Spaniard in the 1850s I would choose Hispaniola or Cuba. Great video as always
LMAOOOOOO!!!! The meat was hefty and amazing.... I wish I could have had more!

I definitely wanna check out Argentina 😮
My hosts gave me blood soup in Portugal, because they were snickering I could tell it was a challenge food, but it was really good! Never been to Brazil, really liked Argentina. Liked Buenos Aires, liked the portenos! Also visited Lima, plus Nicaragua. Lived in Chile, Costa Rica, Honduras. Would like to visit various places in Panama, but so far Argentina is tops.

Hey, Brutha Keenan, thanks for the Aregentina video! Six weeks from my Panama trip. I'm excited, but the cost of living there, specifically Panama City, has become Americanized. Of course, I discovered Panama during the pandemic, so the cost probably rebounded plus rose because of the country's increased popularity. What do you think?
BLB to Hav...... book it!!!!! The prices have certainly gone up but the price of consumption is not too bad...
Keenan nice to see you in another country.
Thanks my friend... Did you see the Ecuador mini series?
How it works in other parts of the country with the blue rate change? It is possible also in Patagonia or little village or i have to change all i need in Buenos Aires? If yes, it is safe to change a real big amount?
I would get all I need in Buenos Aires or another big city before going to a little village.
That money exchange scene was dope, a lot of notes for 100 US I see!

Brasil for me but i have not been to Argentina before
If I was a Spaniard in the 1850s I would have to say Cuba right off the bat. Pizza is a toss up in foreign countries. It would't be my first choice in a new country and culture.
going to cuba in september but i am for sure going to argentina next man

ive seen other youtubers say if you send yourself money through western union you get the blue rate?
Same as in BKK, Thailand. I go to the "Other Bank" to get more for $$$ rate.

I saw a different video about the new administration seeking to bring the value of the dollar closer to the peso. Don’t know if it’s true. Still seems like a nice place to.
The devaluation of the currency is still happening.... Lets see if it levels off.

@@KeenanLambert198Great. Looking forward to your videos. I have visited many cities in Cuba. All full of friendly people. I am tempted to visit BA, but not sure if the racist rumors are true or not. Not being white myself I wonder if people in Argentina would be friendly as in Cuba or not.
@@viajandomundo421 Cubans I think that are somewhat "famous" for being friendly, as Brazilians. Argentines are not like that, especially in big cities, but it depends...
About r4c1sm, there is, although less than many foreigners think, and it's a bit more directed against amerindians (native rac1al group from the Americas), which are a visible minority (like 6/7% of the population), than against blacks, which by the way are less than 1% of the population.
My man broke wind😂😂😂😂
The wine loosened me up... No Diddy
Back in the 80s I played professional basketball in Santa Faye Argentina the money exchange was 9 to 1. I was about 23 years old the people were nice it took me a while to learn the league. What didn't like was the only black people I saw was on other team's they were allowed to have only two American on each team.
the last of the tierra del fuego indians was murdered in 1868 i think. i was there in the late 80s hitching around and what struck me was the police uniforms and border guard uniforms were very jack boot. at the time i did realize how easy it would be to just be "disappeared". but it was not that scarry as i loved argentina. you have a unique story

🤣🤣🤣🤣 legendary
brazilian music in the intro lol
I had to use Thalia de Freitas in the intro… Stylistically she’s super bohemian and I feel like her aura matches what is Buenos Aires + there isn’t any good Argentine music for purchase in the studio so I used Peruvian, Brazilian and Bolivian (All geographic neighbors)
Hispaniola , Really Keenan ? As a Spaniard ... how would you have been treated by the French ?
Why not Cuba ? They would have been very rich at that point in time with the sugar and molasses.
Argentinian beef is grass fed not corn fed like north america
Bro K., 1850 hands down CUBA! The Creoles were 2nd class to the Peninsulares (from Spain). A lot of Europe serves mayonnaise with fries. Did you see that or were offered given the European influence? I don't believe you spent the nights in BA in your hotel room, so lets have the night life video. Seems you did Rio and Sao Paula in the past year. How about more ofSalvador de Bahia, 80% black and probably full of sistas just anxious to meet you?!? Saludos de tu amigo en Canada
Reason why there's a lot of pasta places is because of the Italian influence, most of its immigrants are of Italian ancestry.
Since 1816 (year of independence) until now, the bigger immigrant groups were Italians and Spaniards (the latter were already present before independence obviously), and behind them Paraguayans, Bolivians, Chileans, Peruvians, French, Germans, Syrians, Portuguese, Askenazim, Polish...
Don't forget about Asians.
Everything seems closed down

nice vid, but where are the black Argentines
Saw 1……. 🤣
all black Argentines were on the front line in wars and did not receive medical care during disease epidemics, the rest you already know an extermination
they blended with the rest of the population. We dont have plantations, like the us or brazil, so there were not many slaves in 1810. The african population was liberated by the revolution (yes, revolution, as the american revolution) and, after 1850, married with the incoming migrants. Most families in argentina have at least one black man or woman among their grandparents
Blacks in Argentina are a few thousands scattered all over the country (that mean they are way less than 1% of the total population), and most of them are immigrants.
