Vicente Guerrero, the 2nd President of Mexico who was described as a “Mixed person of Indigenous, & Black ancestry”, As President he abolished slavery in Mexico in 1829.✊🏽
He was mainly Native American or Spainard just cause he like 20-30% African yall think he was blk 😂
Mexico originally was and still is mainly MEZTIZO the orginal population being native Americans mixing with Spain 🇪🇸 people made the first Mexicans ! But majority is white and brown Mexicans it's uncommon to see blk Mexicans in the popular regions
It was actually Benito Juarez, Vincente made a decree banning it in most regions. Benito got it by going through mexicos Congress to make it a federal law for all states
He did say mixed person.
The one drop rule was only beneficial when used to discriminate.😉
@@ricardorascon88he didn't say that. Relax it's ok.
Yes the 2nd President of Mexico was Black. He led the revolutionary army to free Mexico from Spain.💡

“Racism makes us simulated” was the deepest thing that man said!! 🗣️
Blacks are the most racists.
They most definitely are AFRO Mexicans!! Although we consider them as Mexicans, we also shouldn't suppress their African history and roots!!!❤✊🏽
No one is surprressing them, they literally paint their town with their history and they govern themselves. Where is this so called suppression? Or is it just something you've heard on mainstream news on how "MEXICO IS HIDING THEIR AFRICAN ROOTS". The so called suppression these people are under is the same "Suppression" the rest of mexicans are under. They are trying to force seperation by telling these people they are different from the rest of mexicans since they are black, something american propaganda taught you to do. "You are not american but black american" is the same as "You are not mexican but afro mexican"
The Spanish did not the Mexicans.
Mexicans are the result of Spanish and Native American mixing
@@TheShowOff2I Well if you want to be "technical" Indigenous mixed with Spanish was called a mestizo. And African with a spaniard was, a mulato and one with Indigenous was zambo. But the fact still remains, these folk are Mexican!
@@TheShowOff2I Oh and the "spanish" didn't even consider Africans, human. They had them as slaves before they enslaved the Indigenous populations, when spaniards reached the Americas. Look at what Bartolome wrote in one of his letters, he said they were less than and it's ok to enslave them and let Indigenous people be.. (I'm paraphrasing)
@@NoSeasBurro
Yes I know, there was multiple stops during the slave trade.
Cuba, the Dominican Replublic and some of Mexico had slaves shipped to their countries

Cant we be proud of ourselves whether were dark or light??
@@josephgee2515 being proud of being dark is emphasized because it oppressed so much. Nobodyhas to say their proud to be white because whites arent oppressed
You are not proud of your state?
There were slaves that also ran away south from America and ended up in Mexico. Slaveholders wanted to try to bribe Mexico to return them but they said that everyone is free in Mexico.
The Atlantic Slave Trade sent enslaved Africans there too.
If I’m right, they also gave them Mexican citizenship so they could permanently stay.
Yeah many stories of the white owners coming to Mexico and they shot or killed because they trespass their proptety and wanted to get their slaves back from Mexico
@@meloncholylife I believe they were also recognized as their own indigenous pueblo, tribe of the Black Mascogos of Mexico by the governor of the respective state, Coahuila. They also celebrate Juneteenth to this day to celebrate their heritage.
“He (the governor) said that he hopes the Mascogos can begin receiving funds from the Instituto Nacional de Pueblos Indígenas by 2018.” I’m not sure what happened after that for Mascogos, but I hope they’re doing well

We have a lot of African in us. We got our ancestry results and we have a bit of Congolese and Senegalese in our blood. There is also a plaque at La Plaza Olvera in Los Ángeles and a lot of the founding families were mixed with African. Pretty cool 😎
🇨🇩 your very smart
Bro i never refer blacks in Mexico as afro-mexicanos because no matter what they are MEXICANOS💯
Just hidden. And never showed. Why?
Probably because you never see them. They are a small percentage of mexico. If you seen them more you would identify them as that or one something like that.
Trust me I've seen a lot of blacks in Mexico but like I said I don't refer them as Afro because they have been in Mexico for generations so to me they are my people & in Mexico we label them as Mexicans never blacks💯

A lot of there ancestry came from Cuba escape slaves, (Mexico outlawed slavery years before the U.S. in 1829) The Underground Railroad also led to Mexico. The Underground Railroad also ran south-not back toward slave-owning states but away from them to Mexico, which began to restrict slavery in the 1820s and finally abolished it in 1829, some thirty-four years before Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation. Mexico was never involved in slavery its was the colonist Spain and France before the got ran out of México politically, the Mormon religious went to Mexico, escaping persecutions in the U.S. that why today you see Mormons and there offspring in Mexico also there's lots of Amish people and other religious people of that type who live in México

Great job man! Love your channel. A suggestion: The term “mixed” is reserved in its strictest sense for different species. Since we are all the same species we are multicultural or multi ethnic. “Mixed” was a term used in early colonialism for humans because pseudoscience at the time put forward the idea that Africans were not human so mixing with them would be mixing species. I live in Imperial Beach and have friends in Tijuana, Rosarito, Mexico City, Oaxaca, Tecate and Encinitas. Keep going bro.
