Almost dismissed….based on her claiming she didn’t know the plaintiff was staying there which would pretty much contradict her counterclaim so she then changed her answer to she did know he was staying there which then caused the judge to allow her counterclaim but doesn’t guarantee she will win it especially starting off perjuring herself!!

I think it’s about 50/50. Half the landlords are like that and half are good. Just like half the tenants are good and half destroy property and treat places like crap and turn into squatters who make a nightmare for landlords.

Some families just don't get along. My family has never been very close. I'm closer with my little brother, even though we don't talk much than I am with any other member of my family. I'm sure most of my family would turn on me in a heartbeat if money came in the way as that's always been more important to everyone else in my family but me. Loyalty to my immediate family is a joke. My dad passed away a few years ago and I would've done anything for him and he would've done anything for me, but the rest of the family was always jealous of our bond.
The ignorance and lack of accountability is disgusting! I'm so happy for that sweet woman and hope her dog was completely healed.

Wait…her name was on the receipts but he paid it? That’s confusing…I think she meant to say she paid it but HE turned it in which why her name is on the receipts…if that’s the case….the defendant did have a right to evict someone who was not legally bind to the unit.
Actually, JJ explained that even if his name was not on the lease, she needed to give him 30 days written notice because she knew he has been a tenant for a year (mail gives him right as tenant).
Scumbag Landlords like this don’t think these tenants have the guts or brains to come after her and she wrongfully evicted a Handicapped Man to BOOT - there are FEDERAL LAWS against these actions - landlords lucky 🍀 he didn’t hire a lawyer and he now owns that house! Bravo judge Judy $5000 isn’t even close to what this landlord should be paying!

Dusty is the plaintiffs wife (says JJ in the first 10 seconds)… the plaintiff is the person in the wheelchair, no? Then JJ says “and you are appearing as a witness for HIM?” *looks at man in wheelchair. Isn’t the plaintiff in the wheelchair??! … but then I find that she’s with the guy on the defendant’s side.. I’m so confusedddd

The guy in the wheelchair is the plaintiff and Dusty is his wife. The defendant is the silver haired woman and that's Dusty's mother. I'm confused as to your statement that she's with the guy on the defendant's side? When did it say that? I'm genuinely confused, not sarcastic at all. The young lady on the defendant side is Dusty's daughter but I didn't get the impression the young man sitting next to her is related to or involved with Dusty.
