"I'm her mom"
"you've gotta be kidding me"
Took the words right out of my mouth 😂
Wow plaintiff didn’t even know!!!!!
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Judge Judy was confused too😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
*The show is heavily edited, the plaintiff must have known that is his wife's daughter*
Summary: Dusty set this whole drama into motion after a domestic dispute, only to regret it later and want to make amends with the plaintiff 🙄
Facts. 100% agree.
True, but that landlady should know better than to get involved. Especially if he paid the rent. She's just as messy because that's not her domain. Collect rent and let them hash it out. What she did costed her, not Dusty.
As my granny used to say “ You Hit the nail on the head”.
Right. "Dusty" was fighting with Harold and decided to leave, then she rang the owner to complain about him and be a victim. Owner gets sucked in by her sob story and decides to boot out the "mean" guy, knowing she had no legal cause, just for the sistahood. Then "Dusty" sobers up, gets back on her medications and realizes she caused the problem, got him kicked out for no reason and wasnt being fair to him. Hence showing up in court with him. Now the owner looks bad and her reputation is damaged.
Exactly. Dusty likes the drama, I see.
"I'm her mom"
Now I know why Dusty looked like she was about to burst into tears. She knew JJ was about to make her look like a 🤡
Dusty: “I’m her mom”
JJ: “what?”
Plaintiff: “you gotta be kidding me”

I felt very bad for the mom after I was in shock for a second. She was about to be in tears…
@@KittenBowl1She's in tears out of immense guilt. She knows what happened was wrong.

PLOT TWIST OF THE YEAR
I've never left a JJ case scratching my head wondering what happened. This feels weird. I have so many questions.
Its plain as day.
I felt like that when the lady was explaining the whole lock thing, when JJ was asking her about it it’s like how were the locks changed when she was able to get in? It was making my head hurt lol 😄
I re-watched it and was able to piece it all together. But WOW was that convoluted.
Where the defendant in the male plaintiff fucking like I’m so confused
That Dusty woman had a dusty brain. I mean, she seemed out.
I'm so confused, why is Dusty's daughter on the defendant's side? Why is Dusty in tears? I have so many questions lol
Me too lol

I can see what happened. "Dusty" was fighting with Harold and decided to leave, then she rang the owner to complain about him and be a victim. 😄😄😄
The owner is Dusty’s mother and the young girl sitting in the witness area is Dusty’s daughter. Peggy (the owner) has her Husband sitting next to her granddaughter. This was a case of the family trying to screw over Harold and it ended up backfiring on them.
For tha sistahood!😂😂😂😂
@@tails300 Wait her LL was her mom? 🤔🤔🤔 I mean that kinda explains why the kid might be sat on LL’s side, but when did they say that in the video? Or is that just a guess? God I need to rewatch this case, it’s so convoluted with so many details 😮💨😂
That’s EXACTLY what happened. Dusty is DUSTY!!!!
This was weird🤨…Dusty seemed like she caused all of this mess but didn’t want to seem responsible.
She did. Basically, she called the landlord who knew that she and Harold were on-again-off-again and gave her a sob story of some kind (probably false). Then she had the landlord change the locks on him so he couldn't get in. Then she facilitated in his stuff being removed and eventually being given to another tenant. She did wrong and she knew it. That's why she was closed to crying. If I did that to a disabled man I'd be ashamed of myself forever and burn in hell for it.
"I don't know whether she knows what today is" 😭

I screamed 🤣 that Dusty lady is strange strange

I was laughing a long time after JJ said this one.😂
This is one of the most confusing cases Ive ever watched on JJ...
Liga Jab, same here.
You’re not alone.
"Time to move forward by myself" hell yeah😂💯
Dusty is messy AF then has the nerve to cry 😂
"You've gotta be kidding me."
Had me rolling. Lmfao.
Judge Judy's reaction to Dusty being that kid's mom has me in stitches. 3:00 What? 🤣 And why did that guy say you gotta be kidding me like he didn't know she was the kid's mom either?

@@gypsydeoriginal366 I agree. I think he never heard that his stuff was in the shed until they were in court. That's a nasty family to do that to him. I think JJ picked up on the truth. The landlord was in the middle of their marital affairs and sided with the wife. She was throwing him out for her friend. Then it all went sideways.
“I don’t know whether she knows what today is.” No truer statement.
Lol...JJ always on spot!
But why was Dusty crying though? This episode was a trip! 😂
Dusty was about to cry when it was revealed that her daughter helped move his stuff to the shed. She hadn't told her husband that part but
“Listen I don’t know whether she knows what day it is” 🤣🤣 JJ don’t give a whole damn🥴🤣🤣
that defendant is SO SHADY. What a creep
yeah she's shady..was just thinking that.
She's lead by emotion.

Dusty’s daughter doesn’t look to me like “Peggy’s husband & a maintenance man” who she alleges moved her ex husbands belongings out 😭😭😭

😂😂😂
I am weak!!🤣
Poor guy was like, "Oh Damn, I have a step-daughter!"
Really seems like they had a domestic dispute. The woman left the man and sent the messages to the landlord to get back at him. Only to then realize that instead of landlord jumped the gun and changed the locks and got rid of his possessions. Dusty's behaviour definitely seems like someone who would be sorry that her rash actions ended up causing all of this.
That said the landlord should have waited, notice had been given, rent paid.
i’m sorry but WHAT??? the ladder half of this case is truly mind boggling and hilarious at the same time. my favorite quotes are
“she knows the law”
*on verge of tears* “i’m her mom”
“you’ve gotta be kidding me”
*peggys husband pointing at himself like a child*
“put your hand down!” “kay”

What. A. Case.
The plaintiff didn't know that the daughter had helped move his things. That's what he said "you've got to be kidding me" about.
@@DD-d6d3 Wouldn't it be nice to think it was that simple?
🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 who were you WORKING for?
OMG THE SYMBOLS HAD ME DYING!!
The you gotta be kidding me has to in reference to her moving his belongings. She clearly wanted to say a lot more jj was right keeping a lid on it. I'm sure it would have made it all too obvious that dusty wanted her revenge and her daughter and landlord conspired together to evict him illegally. Everything that smug landlord said was sent her her that she smugly produced as evidence that came from Dusty. Dusty who even admitted that he didn't change the locks she did with her daughter, landlord and landlords husband. Conspiracy to be assholes.
That didn't go the way I thought it'd go. You fuck around, evict someone during the month he paid for, as response to a domestic despute or something... Glad she lost. Specially if she apparently gave his stuff to another tenant.
The mom was trying to hide the fact that her daughter helped with moving out the plaintiff’s property cause she never once mentioned her daughter when JJ asked but just a “maintenance man and Peggy’s husband “
Conveniently ignoring a key detail: she TOLD them to move his things out !!!
And if you’ve been accepting rent-
PUT YOUR HAND DOWN 😂
This is all Dusty’s doing
No, the rent was paid.
Well! Dusty Dusty Dusty! What a woman! 😂 Trying to get back in after she caused this whoooollleee problem!
Judge Judy was pretty calm in this case though.
Defendant landlord says "She knows the law". Yes, lady, that's why she's the judge. You thought you could evict a guy in a wheelchair cause he was "gone" and keep his rent money. Crooked.
You can't trust the bitches !
In fairness to the LL wasnt the rent paid in Dizzy Dusty's name? It's possible she thought he was gone
dusty what did you do???
JJ: "I don't think she knows what today is" 🤦🏾♀️🤣💀
JJ: I don’t know if she knows what today is 😂😂😂 she cracks me up I wouldn’t have been able to stop laughing

Dude I binge watch JJ, if I did that I’d be in the ER with alcohol poisoning 🤣
'we are done'
'put your hand down'
'i don't care'
'not interested'
JJ dialogue never gets old
It doesn’t! 😂
So Dusty's daughter was a witness for Peggy, but Dusty who told her daughter and others to move his things into the shed and started this whole mess was the witness for the plaintiff?? What all is going on here?? 😭 Also, is the daughter the 'maintenance man' Dusty mentioned before? Dusty, please take your meds or stop taking them. Do the opposite of what you're doing now, cuz you're a mess.
Anyone else think Dusty seems scared to death? She seems scared to me when she talks.
Yup she's scared. If I had to guess, the mere fact she appeared for the plaintiff, means that she's trying to get back with him and is doing what she can to make amends. Her own daughter appearing for the defendant to me proves that in a fit of emotion from whatever domestic dispute, the whole eviction took place and the daughter helped her mom. But now that mom seems to be trying to get back with the plaintiff, means that mom was prepared to throw them all (daughter included, hence why she started tearing up) under the bus, so the daughter decided to side with the defendant for what they saw as a legitimate eviction, at mom's behest no less.
And well, to me at least, it was confirmed that she's trying to get back with the plaintiff when in the closing interview, he said he'll be moving on alone. Obviously all of this drama isn't what he needs or wants in his life.
@@damieg82 Exactly! She did all this. Everybody sided with her to get rid of him. When he found out her daughter helped moved his things all he could do was shout, "You gotta be kidding me!" I felt that in my gut. That was sincere shock. He needs to point his chair away from them and roll away as fast as he can. What a family!
Pretty sure she's abused or something and tried to get out of it
I think she's not abused, but the one that causes trouble all the time, then feels guilty, then goes on a rampage to hurt him and then goes back, etc.
“PUT YOUR HAND DOWN” 😂😂😂😂
I had to watch this one twice and I'm a landlord. This was so convoluted.
ok. here's my opinion on why dusty is crying. she wants to at least be friends with her ex and came to testify for him but didn't tell him her daughter, peggy's husband and a guy moved his things into the shed while she watched. she let him think peggy gave his stuff to another tenant. however, peggy wasn't going to be taken for a fool and brought her daughter to testify against them. dusty didn't know until she saw her in court and realized she would be exposed for her deceit. this is why the ex husband exclaimed "you've got to be kidding me" upon learning his own step daughter moved his things. he's lucky because even if his belongings are all there he gets the $5,000. and this is why he is moving on alone coz after this he is no longer interested in dusty or her daughter.
This is a clear case of Judge Judy sticking literally to the letter of the law. This landlord was acting more in a personal capacity as opposed to a professional one and whilst as a person it is commendable it has left her open to abuse through this lawsuit. They don’t deserve a penny.
Who's actions are commendable? I hope you're not referring to the plaintiff, especially regarding the reference to abuse. The landlord has no right to change the locks and move the plaintiff's things out, period. You call it abuse for her to pay him for breaking the law? Just because her daughter Dusty has a problem with her husband, doesn't negate his rights as a tenant.
I am laughing so hard at this episode I am crying someone stop me 😂😂😂
Lmfaoooo Judge Judy said Dusty not too bright
How quick this turned around gave me whiplash.
Am I trippin or is this case crazy af
This is a lesson to everyone: if you let someone live somewhere, they can become a tenant just by virtue of living there and then they have the same rights as any other tenant. It doesn't matter if they have a lease. This applies to your adult children who you want to move out on their own: they are tenants with rights. This applies to the friend you let live in your spare room for a few months to get on their feet. Tenant. This applies to your idiot sibling who moves from family member to family member because they can't stand on their own two feet. They're a tenant if you let them live with you. Be very careful!
Kinda a stretch. More so they can be a paying tenant without a formal contract if there was or has been acceptance of payment. But I think even without payment ur kinda right. Renters rights and agreements are kinda confusing. Cause then they are technically squatters I think.
@@latinoprophet Whst this guy had was technically a month-to-month verbal lease as he was paying and she accepted. Even without a written lease, it's legal. Depending on the state, she would have just needed to give the proper notice in the proper time for him to leave and he would just need to give her the proper notice to leave. Most likely it will be 30 days. She didn't even give him that. She's actually lucky that she didn't get fined for the illegal lock out or both her and Dusty not getting arrested for theft.
Yes, and they can prove that they're a legal tenant in court if they receive any mail at your address.
It's a hard and expensive lesson to learn.
Sage advise
@cautiouslasagna not true, it's worse in Toronto
I kept going back and listening to JJ saying "What?"
Dusty's brain cells are outnumbered by her teeth.
I'm fucking dead 💀🥀⚰️
love the plaintiff. sounds like a good man.
Agree. He sounds like your honest, hardworking type of guy who’s just trying to live his life, not out to get anyone. The best kind of people. Unfortunately, good people are usually the ones screwed over by messy or crappy people, because they’re willing to put up with way more of their BS than most would, cause good people don’t want to hurt anyone. And then, they end up being the ones hurt. His sincere surprise that Dusty’s daughter would help Dusty, the LL & her husband move out his things killed me. He seemed genuinely upset that she turned on him too and he didn’t even know it until IN COURT! How many other lies is this family been hiding from him? This man deserves waaaay more than this family and I hope he stays separated from his wife and divorces her.
I can honestly say that this did not end like I thought it would. I learned some time ago, or at least I thought I had, not to judge a book by it's cover.
What’s wrong with that dusty woman?
Dusty brain.
Geezuz! A daughter taking sides with the landlord against her own mother in court. I'm sure there's more to it but you don't do that. What an ungrateful disgusting human being. Landlord should've known better than to take sides in a domestic dispute since you always lose.
I love that judge Judy could care less about why her daughter was on other side. And the daughters big moment to speak up, and Judy shut it down...
PUT YOUR HAND DOWN! lol
I wanted to hear what the daughter had to say, it might have been pertinent. He should be suing Dusty, she wanted to move his stuff and then later got back with the defendant and regretted it.
Peggy wasn’t lying when she said Dusty asked her to move his stuff
JJ: I don't know whether she knows what today is
Me: 😩😩😂😂💀☠️
Judge Judy, is the best. Only fact driven
JJ was ready to get them out of her court room 😂😂 for good reasons
Dusty was caught in her lies. She told Harold Peggy’s husband and a maintenance man came and did that to his stuff but the truth .. Dusty was done with Harold and she wanted to play the victim (maybe he was the one breaking up with her and I don’t blame him) .. she gave Peggy a sob story and convinced her to come over with her husband and get rid of Harold stuff with the help of her daughter. Harold finds out and Dusty claims it wasn’t her .. guilt eats her up .. or her medication got fixed .. and she decides to side with him .. she was crying because she was nervous and she knew the truth will come out seeing her daughter at the defendant side.
When the daughter exposed that she helped Peggy and her husband move Harold’s stuff while Dusty is watching .. it was clear dusty orchestrated all of it .. Peggy even said .. Dusty asked her to do it .. that’s why Harold was yelling “you’ve got to be kidding me!” .. he was hearing conflicted stories and believed Dusty had nothing to do with it .. it was only evil Peggy but in truth .. it’s all Dusty
That's true but Peggy isn't blameless. All she had to do was call Harold to confirm the truth. Instead she led with her emotions and screwed a disabled man over. I'm not convinced that the original fight was Harold's fault. I'd bet $1 million that Dusty was abusing him (she's a big woman), he threatened to call the cops about it, and she cooked this whole thing up to make it look like he was mad at her for it. If Dusty hadn't come clean they might have gotten away with this. It's a small start to her fixing the mess she made. I would've been balling in court from the guilt too. That woman did wrong and she knew it.
I agree, when Dusty was telling what happened she used passive voice to try to conceal that she was there and she was the one who told them to get his stuff out of the house. She probably hadn't told Harold and let him think it was Peggy and her husband who took the decision to throw his things our, but it was her.
To be honest I was lost from the first video! 🤣No context or nothing and now it’s over? 🤣 ok

No you can't change the locks until a judge orders their removal.

WAIT‼️ Dusty’s daughter is on the defendant side 😳....drama drama drama
Why can't Dusty just answer a question without sounding like she's going to cry? What's wrong with her?
I wish him the best.
This case lmaooooo what a rollercoaster
This whole case seems like something you'd expect in a fever dream: Peggy the landlord got a man in a wheelchair to make a shed and illegally evicts him for no reason, the wife named Dusty was complaining that the locks changed in the house but she meant the shed and she was able to get to the shed anyway, the wife is on the verge of tears and can't string a coherent sentence together, and their daughter is on the defendant's side because she helped move Harold's things with the defendant's husband.
Something is not right. Dusty in tears yet she doesn't know anything.
She wants people to feel bad for her.
Dusty was behind the entire mess. She got exposed on national TV by JJ. Hence the nerves & tears.
Dusty's son really sunk the Defendant's case even though Dusty approved the move of the furniture. WOW.
Dusty needs a broom for her brain.
This was coo coo for CoCo Puffs ‼️🙄
ah, part 2. 😊
The man is GORGEOUS!
Talk about plot twist. Dusty, what's really going on?
I am a landlord of an apartment and my building management strata tried to threaten me over the phone saying they can break my tenants lease over a fire called out which they failed to let me know over two business days and occurred again on the night.
I was only notified after the second call out and I immediately asked why wasn’t I notified of the first call out and was told you wouldn’t be able to prevent the second call out.
What a joke, and I told her my tenant has every right to challenge the second call out and she refused to have any part of it and wanting my tenant to pay for their incompetence
They definitely skipped a part.
I’m so confused…why is the daughter on that side?
It is confusing, but, in simple terms… Dusty is behind this whole mess. Manipulated her landlord (Peggy) to give her hubby the boot, & enlisted the help of her daughter to get rid of her things. Plaintiff was 💯 in the right. The landlord should have followed the law, rather than get drawn into Dusty’s drama.
IN MY VIEW
There are laws protecting rental property.
There are laws protecting tenants.
The one that is complacent, NOT doing the research telling them what they can or cannot do, loses every time.
Tenants have WAY more rights than landlords most places. Try the UK - there cab be squatters for years.
What the hell is up with that wife? Why was she practically crying the whole time? Woman, you're talking about doors, locks and furniture.... you're not reliving some vicious assault as you describe the details to a Judge! I've seen people explain violent rape attacks and being left for dead afterwards with more self control and clarity. She almost broke down explaining she was the girl's Mum. Good job the evidence was on his side because imagine relying on her as your only witness and no facts to prove your case! No wonder the daughter sat on the opposite side to her Mother!
I bet Judge Judy would have awarded him more money if she could, because five grand ain't gonna buy him back his entire life! Photos, documents, personal effects, heirlooms, mementos, and being turned out on the street are worth five grand alone, let alone then needing to find a deposit and month's rent in advance, furniture, bedding, towels, curtains, blinds, decor, clothes, shoes, utensils, dinnerware, cookware, toiletries and a toothbrush! PLUS the time and effort to shop for all that stuff, transport to and from stores and delivery fees!
That's a trio of weird f*cking women! I would say RUN, but in his case, let those brakes off and roll for your life mate! He was more "able-bodied" and certainly more clued up than the rest of them put together! Good grief! 😳😳😳
They had an on and off relationship, I interpreted as the day the eviction happened they were off, but on their way to back together or she has regrets over what occurred.
@@lisaparrey1343 yes agree entirely with that being the case... 😊 She acted like you'd expect some late-teens couple to act, break up, changing locks etc!
