Has the ranch ever had a mother reject a calf for some reason and it have to be bottle fed?
Oh yes. In fact, our two yearling heifers that came from this ranch were bottle-fed for that exact reason. They were weaned by the time we brought them home, but that is why they are more comfortable around people today because they were bottle-fed.
