- With all the changes Celebrity Cruises has introduced, including cutbacks and extra charges for solo cruisers, I decided to change things up and try another line, so I booked the MSC Meraviglia, despite all the negative social media.
This experience was NOT what I was expecting........join me on tis full tour and review of this massive cruise ship. Fully narrated and all things explained, no area of the ship not explored!

I have seen so many bad reviews of this ship. I'm going on it in 2 weeks and am now kind of discouraged. I loved your walk through and explanations. I think I'll know my way around a bit better now. Thank you!!! I subscribed, hope your channels blows up with new subscribers!
Enjoy, I found it to be a great ship and the crew was excellent…….it may not be as elevated or luxury oriented as celebrity (my regular line) but I had a great time and enjoyed everything MSC had to offer……I am sure you will too……haters will hate, but it makes me laugh a bit…….how can you be miserable on a cruise ship???😅😅😅

I sail exclusively with MSC. The number 17 is unlucky in Italy just as 13 is unlucky in the US. I thought that was very interesting myself! Great content! I was on Meraviglia in late 2021 so the pandemic was still a thing. There were only 1800 passengers on board and it was WONDERFUL! The last two I have been on was on Divina and Seaside and they were maxed OUT so long gone are the days of having a ship to yourself!
In 2021 I was on the Celebrity Edge (pandemic) with little over 500 passengers……the captain in her daily address referred to the ship as “your private yacht” and we all laughed. It was a great way to cruise…….thanks for the comment and subscribing! Be well……
Italians don't like the number 17 because in Roman Numerals, its XVII which is an anagram of VIXI , which means , 'I have lived' in Latin. Therefore meaning Death. Some considrer it a bad omen, as inviting death so keep that number AWAY!
Great tips! Thanks for having experienced this ship and explaining the venues and restaurants. I have only sailed on Royal twice but wanted to try Meraviglia since it's a beautiful ship despite some bad reviews. Only twenty minutes into your video so I'm excited to learn more about this ship.

Thanks for the very in depth review , we are going on our first cruise in February , on the Merviglia , and this was very helpful . For future reference, so as not to upset any British viewers , when you do the 2 fingered peace thing , have your fingers the other way around , its an insult in the UK , Ireland and Australia
I have not heard that before…….its a well known biker thing that bikers are well known for……certainly not intended to insult anyone that is for sure……..different cultures different practises…….thanks for the tip and thanks for the comment…….
@@TheBussman it goes back to the Battle of Agincourt 1415 , English/Welsh archers beat the Sh*t out of the French , so the French would cut off the fore finger , and middle finger of any captured English soldiers so they couldn't draw their bow , so as an insult to the French , they would stick those 2 fingers up , with the palm facing inwards , saying F You to the french , and its stayed as an insult since , a bit like americans raising the middle finger , its interesting that, the Scots Ausies use it as well . Although the American middle finger is becoming more popular . Churchill famously made a mistake when doing the V for Victory sign during a speech , the wrong way around
When we're you onboard? We were on in May 2023 & are on again in April. I ask because I've noticed from your vlogg the shop has in the cool MSC bomber jackets and my husband really wanted one but they didn't have them last time. Thanks.

Going on Meraviglia next May. Really helpful review. Thanks! However, one short correction to what you say about onboard credit card registration after embarkation. It can be done indeed pre-cruise on the MSC app (unless there is some exception for cruises from US ports, MSC is well known for being very inconsistent with all its policies). Was on the World Europa last Xmas and I did it that way.
Thanks for the comment and watching! With regard to registering the credit card, I can only advise what I told by MSC and my experience. I tried to register online on the website and the APP, did not work. I was told MSC is working on it, but to register onboard. Have a great day!
Is the adult pool available for all adults or only those in YC and Auria?
The adult only pool at the aft of the ship is open to everyone over 18…..no restrictions at all!
Where in the US 13 is unlucky (except for Taylor Swift, lol) but 17 is unlucky in Italy, where this cruise ship is From!
10:56 the carpets in this area look horrible. They should have someone there to clean them when they look like that for what you're paying.

MSC ships have Deck 13, but not a Deck 17, because the cruise line's founder is Italian and 17 is considered unlucky in Italy. Cruise lines entertain other superstitions, like appointing godmothers to bless new vessels and ensure the safety of passengers and crew.
