Congrats on the sub 2! That’s so sick.
This was my first half marathon ever and I finished in 2:28:16. Was hoping to break 2:30 so a big win there. I was running with the 2:25 pace group a lot of the time so probably was going too fast and hit a hard wall during the loop back the Rose Bowl around the golf course. But the feeling when crossing the line and just being inside that stadium was one of the best feelings ever.
My friends and I went to a Korean spa later on in the afternoon and let me tell ya, that was a great choice after a long run.
Sounds like a perfect day! I gotta try one of those out soon.

🎉BRAVO BRAVO Anthony!!🎉 A course PB is always an awesome thing, especially filming at the same time and stopping to pat dogs, impressive!! And such a fab atmosphere there!! GREAT training for the LA Marathon!! EXACTLY RIGHT Anthony, mind over matter... the second half of the marathon I repeat to myself over and over "you've done the work, now it's 90% mental, it's 90% mental!" 💪🏻🏃♂🏅💪🏻
OHHH you got the new Novablasts, I really thought you would... I think they're a great choice for you, very versatile shoe!!! I bet you want those Clifton 9s as well though!!😂I know I sure do, the yellow ones!!!😁

@@runningformybestlife Thanks yeah I'm still going all-guns Anthony... already threw down an awesome time at my first marathon of the year in the freezing cold WITH 2300ft of gain no less, but only 3min off my PB so I was totally shocked!!! Next up a 15mile trail race next Sunday. It's all training for a 31mile trail in April!💪🏻🏃🏻♀💪🏻

@@runningformybestlife I KNEW you would!!! But what will you wear for the LA Marathon? Me personally, I don't like the Novablasts over the HM distance... do you think you will like them for 42km??
We’ll see as I get into the longer miles during training.
@@runningformybestlife I don’t think the novablast is a good choice for 26.2, don’t get me wrong, it’s a great shoe, but for that distance I would go with a super shoe (if you have to stick with ASICS) go with Superblast no carbon plate or Metaspeed sky or edge.
