Yes, the vehicle is great and worth the money. I received my new 2025 Explorer one week ago and it is fantastic. We bought it to replace our 2016 Explorer and wow, what an upgrade. Not having the door keypad is a bummer though.
Ford getting rid of the door code access is a terrible decision. Also, getting rid of active park assist for the new explorers is another bad decision. Otherwise, the new explorer looks really nice and the tech is a better upgrade vs. previous years. Great video and review!!
If you buy one of the nicer trims, you'll spend just over $65k... for an effing Ford! I'd rather spend a couple of thousands bucks more and buy a BMW X5... And if you buy a Lincoln, which is still Ford, you pay even more than that. Why? To clarify, I like Ford Explorer a lot, but it makes absolutely no sense.
The reason why there isn't physical knobs or dials for HVAC is because you can "Hey google turn the temperature to 23 degrees". This includes turning on the heated steering wheel and rear HVAC. Love your content. Keep up the great work!
This has been the best review of the Explorer platinum that I’ve seen. It would be nice if you made a part two advanced video showing people how to use a lot of of the features that most of us don’t think about.
There is an option for keypad. I would have had it added if I’d known it would prevent being locked out. Had my new platinum with ultimate package 2 weeks and already locked myself out. What if I locked my phone in also or wasn’t at home with another key? I hate that it allows you to lock key in car. My last car wouldn’t allow you to do this.
I'd love a option with a base model. No giant touch screen. No pointless features to jack up price like lane keeping or blind spot monitoring etc. Just a bare bones option for like 26K
I do not like the Explorer 2025. You took away the buttons in case this touch screen fails. Nothing goes around this. Its 105 in the shade and the screen goes out and you can't even get the a/c to work. You can sell this to anyone but Ford has had these things fail before. Explorer is no different. When engines can reach life of 150,000 to 200,000 miles tell me if both turbos will fail and that will cost 4000 a piece. twin exhaust that fire to the ground but yet it makes you think it has quad exhausts. Plastics to the sides of the doors your feet will push them downward exposing the metal and paint. Last but not least. You make this look great. I feel for the others who bought the last few years that Ford admits a problem is here. No thank you. Others will see this. I feel it looks beautiful but it has so many things I would go on a vacation with. Direct injection. An idea for performance but will down the road dirty up your intake valves and that means a trip to the dealer for the heads to be removed and cleaned. Need I go on with this????
Tahoes costing like 90k sorry i get everyone’s gripes with this and the price but honestly ford did a great job and i think it looks very nice and better than the last model version on the exterior.
Why is the sun/moon roof not an option? Why can't I get second row bench seat with the 6cyl engine ? Now Ford is making you get the Blu Cruise for a year subscription even if you don't want it. Give the customer the choices they want and are willing to pay for.
The look is growing on me but the lack of black wheels on the ST and no hood struts are a few things that drive me nuts. I did stop at a local dealer near me and took a look at a fully loaded platinum. Have to say they nailed the interior compared to my 2023 ST.
I watched the first few minutes. First, the 3.0 does not come standard with AWD. Second, the pillar entry code system is still available. It even shows through as you're trying to display is doesn't. Moving along.
I don't know why they would remove this. I go places where I don't get cell signal still and i like to throw my keys in the car and put it in beach mode.... for this price they are really going backwards...
No. It's not worth the price to me, to make me want to trade in and get the new one. In all honesty, I don't think any new vehicle is. These manufacturers are nuts with their prices. And I really like this new Explorer.
Where? We didn’t find any that deviated from Msrp + options on any new car we looked at-TX, although some had factory discounts applicable. Times have changed!
From $37K to $65K that's the minimum range of profit return every month I think it's not a bad one for me, now I have enough to pay bills and take care of my family.
YES!!! That's exactly her name ( Lucille Rutledge ) so many people have recommended highly about her and am just starting with her 😊from Brisbane Australia 🇦🇺
I Just withdrew my profits week ago, To be honest it was an amazing feeling when the profits hits my wallet I wish I could reinvest but, too much bills
I'll stick with my 2021 St. The only thing mine doesn't have is the 21" tires and bigger red brakes. Also, towing capacity has decreased from the previous models.
I think they missed an opportunity, while the vehicle is in park and you play the racing game, it would have been awesome if we could use the actual steering wheel and pedals to play the game with!
Does it have a built in browser? I want to be able to access my personal plex server which I can do on my Tesla and hopefully on something like this car for my wife.
What was wrong with the door access keypad. Great for camping or other times you may not have your phone. on you. Corporate America is really addicted to your phone.
Back in the day, most U.S. cars were cheap and some of them were even fun to drive. Why would I buy a Ford Explorer when I could buy a way nicer car like a BMW X5 for roughly the same amount of money?
$55K no more buttons no more keypad ehh no thanks ford! Gas mileage still sucks. Had a 2024 as a rental for a day did 175 miles on flat Florida roads and had to basically fill it up averaging 20 mpg 2wd V6
Cars are getting to a point that its not even a car anymore. Its a glorified rolling cell phone. We need simple things to get the cost down. I would love to see something new without infotainment. Just A/C, Crank windows, analog gauges and a sticker price in the upper teens or lower 20's
I would not buy one without the remote buttons to lock and unlock!!!! I don't carry my phone with me all the time. Many times I am in my unattached garage 80' from my house. Phone is in the house. Now I would have to go to the house to open the door!
Another ford L. Terrible center screen with removed buttons and knobs for a higher price than larger suvs that still have luxurious features like being able to adjust the sc or turn on heated seat with a much longer warranty. I’ve given up on ford bring anything other than a disappointment
This is one of worst redesigns and perhaps the ugliest iteration of the Explorer throughout its history. They’ve massacred my Boy… the exterior styling is so lazy and looks like one of those rip off Chinese cars. Yikes! Ford needs to make a deal with Land Rover/Jag again so they can steal their design language again or something….. a total step back.
No, it’s not worth the $. If you want better quality and will last over 100k miles, buy a Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, Subaru Ascent or Mazda CX70 or 90. 😑

They still have it, just have to pay your dealer extra money to install it 😂
It's standard with the platinum.
What is subscription based is blue cruise.

Ford bring back the the outside code pad it’s my favorite part about my 2013 ford explorer.

Yep, that’s why I’m going Tesla for my next car. No direct injected, tiny turbo engines for me.
No, you said to much, you can come in now from left field.
No don’t go on. Tell us all what the perfect vehicle is please!
Tahoes costing like 90k sorry i get everyone’s gripes with this and the price but honestly ford did a great job and i think it looks very nice and better than the last model version on the exterior.
Yea but that’s a Tahoe… a TAHOE!
it’s not the small suv that the explorer is
Our 21 King Ranch has the massage seats and the key pad. I don’t understand why’d they get rid of the key pad.
Hey Mitch still loving your videos. Do you plan on doing a full in depth video on how the new infotainment system works?
Why is the sun/moon roof not an option? Why can't I get second row bench seat with the 6cyl engine ? Now Ford is making you get the Blu Cruise for a year subscription even if you don't want it. Give the customer the choices they want and are willing to pay for.
The keypad is a dealer option and other ford that don't have them can have them installed later.
The look is growing on me but the lack of black wheels on the ST and no hood struts are a few things that drive me nuts. I did stop at a local dealer near me and took a look at a fully loaded platinum. Have to say they nailed the interior compared to my 2023 ST.

I hate that they got rid of the number code access, but they were too cheap to take it off the door pillar…
I don't know why they would remove this. I go places where I don't get cell signal still and i like to throw my keys in the car and put it in beach mode.... for this price they are really going backwards...
The key pad is still avaliable I just saw it on the option list.
Beautiful vehicle. Great review.
can these head units run diagnostics, let you view sensors, vew and clear codes? Sensor logging?
Yes!
Do yall still do superdutys at invoice?
They do everything at invoice price. Even the new 60th anniversary Mustang that there will only be 1965 of.
Any road noise improvements on the platinum?
Can you upgrade to get the security code keyless door option still or is it nonexistent now?
No. It's not worth the price to me, to make me want to trade in and get the new one. In all honesty, I don't think any new vehicle is. These manufacturers are nuts with their prices. And I really like this new Explorer.
Bring back the 1990s explorers
I like the 2025 Explorer Platinum. Always liked Ford Styling on the vehicles. I also really like the gadgets. Price is always negotiable. Thanks
Where? We didn’t find any that deviated from Msrp + options on any new car we looked at-TX, although some had factory discounts applicable. Times have changed!
We did manage to get a dealer option included for free

As a beginner, it's essential for you to have a mentor to keep you accountable. I'm guided by a widely known crypto consultant
She is Expert Lucille Rutledge

Her name rings a bell; I've encountered it multiple times, usually associated with stories of her trading achievements. She deserves a lot of credit.
Car companies need to keep climate control buttons instead of all in the screen

Nice video, thanks, however I keep my 2000 Lincoln Town Car. Too much BS (technology), too much money.
Does it have a built in browser? I want to be able to access my personal plex server which I can do on my Tesla and hopefully on something like this car for my wife.
What was wrong with the door access keypad. Great for camping or other times you may not have your phone. on you. Corporate America is really addicted to your phone.
My 2021 ford edge has go to park if I open the door that not a new feature
ALSO THE KEYCODE BUTTON ENTRY REMOVAL IS A BAD DECISION ON FORD'S PART!!!
They need to do away with the start, stop feature, all together. It's waste. Just causes starter failure earlier than expected.
Back in the day, most U.S. cars were cheap and some of them were even fun to drive. Why would I buy a Ford Explorer when I could buy a way nicer car like a BMW X5 for roughly the same amount of money?
nobody is forcing anyone to buy either imo. bmw makes nice vehicles too
Video games on the front console? I see adults have left Ford.
Someone please tell me why a black painted roof costs more!!!! Black attracts light, creating more heat. No one is ever going to see it, so......?????
The grill 🤣😂🤣
whats wrong with it?
I love ❤️ it!!!
Could have used the reason to play game is while your wife is inside store shopping. lol. Easy 3 hrs of play time lol
Nice

I can’t believe they put a four cylinder in that huge vehicle. Probably get 60k before she blows up. No thanks.
"XLT is now Active" -- Why? Just to confuse the customers? Marketing getting bored?
Show an ST line or a ST!

We just bought this vehicle and it has the remote buttons I believe it is just a option now
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Still without Head Up Display 😢
No way paying 55K for a 4cyl
Same exact vehicle with a few adjustments. Not worth the price increase 😤
Wrong
Eh. Looks dated. Better options exist
You’re right…much better
Too high of a price. Maybe if the platinum were 45k, it can stand to be considered.
Prices are to high. I think getting a 80s f250 explorer is cheaper
@@Godbrother go shopping
@@jrshort138 like what?

You did a great review. But until Ford gets rid of there Junk engines an brings back a simple V6... Never buying one
TOO TOO BAD THAT FORD DIDN'T GIVE THE UPDATED EXPLORER A SPLIT TAILGATE LIKEN THE EXPEDITION...POOR DECISION!!!!!!
No keypad, no Ford!
Thats not a bad MSRP.
I gotta respectfully disagree. Thats more like Volvo XC60 territory!
Why do you have dirt on your pants??
I don’t like the grill
No
