I would of painted around each light strip black so the white dont show just to spice it up so the reflective of the white strip dont show behind the mirror glass to see a solid black out infinity mirror

The liquid is water. It will cool down the heat caused by the friction during the drilling process.

Use a bit specially designed for drilling holes in glass and mirror...most hardware and glass suppliers may keep them
