The sound of that PRS is already inspiring me to finally learn the solo to “Crazy Train”. Randy Rhoads is insane and it be great to play that classic of his.
First song I would like to play is "Europa" by Carlos Santana. I never learned this song completely, now I will have a great chance to do it. Santana is an iconic PRS guitars user.
The first song I would learn is "Black Magic Women" from Santana. I never took the time to learn it and I think it would sound fantastic on a PRS guitar! Gool luck everyone.
Little Wing, finally. Followed by Satch Boogie for sure. I'd LOVE this PRS. ITS BEAUTIFUL. Definitely would inspire this old guy to process further. Especially after all the uncertainty and stress of the last year plus some of covid. All the losses I have encountered as well as all the other families out there. It be like having another child to take care of. Cheers Baker, your doing good things. Much love.. Karl.
I would love to learn Rush: Closer to the heart, Amazing song and I’d love to play it in memory of my Dad, it was one of his favorite songs. I’ve never played a PRS before, it looks awesome!
I would learn “The writing on the wall” the newest iron maiden single. They have always been my favourite metal band and I am so impressed they are still making music

I would learn “Hold on Loosely” 38 Special. Listening to your demo makes me think of the opening. Would love to crank up a little reverb and learn that song.
PRS instantly makes me think of Santana and the song I would go for is "Europa". I remember hearing it as a child (it was on my parents' tape recorder) and then later so many times it's etched itself into my musical taste when it comes to lead/solo. And "S" obviously stands for "Slightly different" :)
I will play the mother father of journey coz when I heard that song, it gives me goosebumps and the melody of it flows in my bone. And also Neal Schon is one of my influencer😀😀
I'd love this for my grandfather's retirement present this week it'd be perfect... and I just know that he'd learn Europa because Santana is his favorite player!!
I'd learn the solo from Frank Zappa's 'Any Kind of Pain', it's one of the most beautiful guitar solos I've ever heard. With the PRS l might be able to recreate the soaring glassy tones from his now legendary '88' tour. What a good looking guitar!!....
I guess I would learn Yellow Ledbetter by Pearl Jam first just because it is my absolute favorite song. Everything about that song just speaks to me on another level, but tbh if I had that guitar there wouldn’t be a single song I WOULDN’T learn on it. I feel like that’s just the kind of legendary guitar that just gives you a reason to play, where you never want to stop playing. I’ve only got a couple guitars and having a PRS has always been my dream since I started playing and learning!
First song I'd try to learn on that beauty is The Spirit Of Radio by the mighty Rush! Alex Lifeson is a total beast. He remains one of my biggest influences on guitar. I know he used a number of PRS guitars throughout his career as well so I'm sure he'd approve ;)
I used to play guitar a lot, but with a busy schedule from life and school, I haven't gotten to play all that much. With this guitar, the first song I would learn would be "Hot Blooded" by Foreigner. I've always loved the song and it holds a special place in the rock side of my heart. Thanks for all the videos and giveaways that you do!
Alter Bridge Blackbird. I’d learn the solo, as for me Myles Kennedy plays one of the most emotional solos ever which sets Mark up beautifully to shred it out the park! What a song and what a solo!
I will learn Opeth's "Isolation Years" for sure. Mikael Åkerfeldt, on his PRS Custom 24, transports me to another world with this song. Besides, this song makes perfect sense for my isolation years, 2019-present.
If I had this cool guitar I would learn Purple Rain's solo. Prince is one of the most underrated guitar players in the world. He ruled in the 80's and 90's on guitar!!
Wow… Memories arise from this question. The first song I’d learn to play is The Stones “ Honky Tonk Woman “. This song has always been my unicorn just trying to learn the lead. The song goes back many, many years to my mid teen years when I casually paid my 1.50 at a traveling carnival and was admitted into a “ Hoochie Coochie “ show. This song is what the ladies danced to that night, in just a matter of a few minutes I feel madly in love with nude blonde women dancing around me and The Rolling Stones. Yes … It would be time for me to go back in time about 45 years and LEARN this song. Thanks Robert.
Simple, I would re-learn the rest of the RUSH repertoire. I am trying to re-learn guitar after a 30 year hiatus and used to play most of the RUSH repertoire. This guitar would be fabulous for many of the pieces in that huge bucket of superior noise. Beautiful guitar. FYI, I bought my Schecter Hellraiser and Ibanez Acoustic guitars from Sweetwater recently, and you are right, their website is fantastic, their service is absolutely outstanding and their prices are the best around. You simply cannot lose by purchasing from Sweetwater. Great folks! .. And thank you Robert for all of the fantastic material that is helping me so much to re-learn how to play these fantastic noise machines. Great stuff!!! .. and like you, I am really stuck on 80's metal, it's what I grew up with and used to play.
I would finally take the time to learn Red House. I’ve wanted to learn that song for ages and this looks like the right guitar to spend put in the time with!
Think it would have to be reelin in the years - Steely Dan. One of the best and most instantly recognisable solos and has just an unstoppable pace / rhythm to it. Instant foot tapper / head nod tune!
I loved the cleaner funk sound you played. The versatility of the PRS is amazing, from what I've seen. I would definitely learn some Stevie Wonder licks with that sound.
Have you tried the 'updated' SE custom 24-08? It has the TCI pickups and supposed to have better coil split. I have my eyes on that guitar but I don't like that there are only two colors.
One year after my coment trying to win this rad guitar, my beautiful and amazing daughter gave ma a green PRS SE Custom 24 08 for my 50th birthday! I can now say, with a giant smile, that these SE's are as cool as hell. When i was a kid with no money, Cort copies of famous guitars were all we had in my town. I had a few and dreamed of owning the real McCoy some day. Now i have some real McCoy's and i am here to to tell you that Cort guiatrs ARE THE REAL McCOY! This PRS seals the deal as far as im concerned. I have 4 guitars, frim different companies, that are all Cort guitars. I love every one of them. I used to wish my Cort guitars said Fender or Gibson on the headstock, now im hunting for one that says Cort because ive finally smartend up and recognized that they have been there for me all alaong! 35 plus years as a musician and i finally realize that many of my favorite guitars ever. . . Were Corts!
First song/guitar solo I would learn is the wonderfully weird "Shake Hands with Beef" by Primus. I always think of Larry Lalonde when I see a Custom 24.

So, just retired a couple of years ago, started learning guitar last year in part because it was so different than anything I’ve ever done (statistician). So, after learning all these scales, techniques, and riffs, what is the first song I will ever play? Well, my then new (step)brother played Hey Jude for me on a cafe jukebox in February, 1969. Life changing. I think I’m ready to play my first song.
Since lately I've been on a European AOR kick, I would learn the intro to Blood Enemies by Eclipse on this beautiful PRS SE Custom 24. There are many really talented musicians and bands in Europe that are keeping the flame of rock alive and well and Magnus Henriksson and Eclipse are (and have been) leading the charge.
The first thing I would learn would be Anastasia by Slash because I’ve been meaning to learn that for a while now and I love the guitar in that song, especially the intro
MistTrk, Rob,. The first solo that blew me away! Jimmy Page, Zepp! Communication breakdown! Turned my interest to the greatest instrument in the world! The guitar! Go PRS baby!!

Hello guitar addicts, the 1st song I would learn on that beautiful machine is ACDC Highway to Hell but just before you shout "how clichéd!" allow me to explain, because there simply is no other song that betters it, you could just listen to that song over and over and never need anything else in your life and be happy forever, and always with the volume set to 11, very important law of rock 🤟
been trying to expand on my scales knowledge. Been trying to learn all the positions of the melodic and harmonic. Def would practice with this guitar!!!
Salutations Robert! I really love the grain that you picked out for that guitar. The first song I would try to learn on the guitar would be “Fool for the City” by Foghat, it sounds like that guitar is well suited for the song, another song that I think would sound great on the PRS guitar is “Freeway Jam” by Jeff Beck, I might just learn them both. Thank you for posting these videos! Please have an excellent and awesome day! ☀️
I will learn and play the entire album "Hasta La Raiz" by Natalia Lafourcade. It's one of my most favorite albums of all time and every song on there is is my "Song of the Summer". Winning this guitar and learning the album will be the best way to send this summer off. Also, it's my birthday the day the winner video comes out so I have all my fingers crossed :))
Honestly the first thing I'd probably learn would be Blackbird by Alter Bridge. I think Alter Bridge are one of those bands that have defined the sound and tone for PRS and Rock/Metal in the 21st century. So, honouring this growing legacy by learning what most Alter Bridge fans would agree is their best song, on a PRS no less, would be sick! With the new Tremonti album coming out soon as well I'm in the mood for some Tremonti/Myles Kennedy/PRS madness hahahaha.
