sadly (or perhaps happily for our sake) they've been mainly attacking boats that kill or kidnap whales. the way they kidnap baby orcas from their mothers is horrific. it seems like the pod seeks revenge on similar ships. but leisure boats like this not so much, luckily they clearly look different.
Actually is true. There have been cases where the whales sink a boat when a seal tries to hide out on it. Usually you have two courses of action push the seal back or leave the area with the whale and let the seal jump off.

@@Takazoro That's why they didn't really actively helped it...even if they wanted to. They stayed passive and the seal helped itself on to the boat. So technically speaking, the seal got away from the orcas fair and square. And I'm pretty sure the orcas will find more food soon enough..they are fucking killing machines.

This proved that animals are way smarter than we think. That seal trusted humans and jumped on boat to survive the orca attack. The orcas could’ve easily flipped the boat to get the seal but they don’t attack humans that’s why they didn’t do it..

Acctually it's only one town in all of norway who sell seal meat. And it's only on the quay in Lofoten. They only kill seals for fishing purposes.
Back in the day it was also because of seal skin and fur. They also ate seal to get use of the whole animal. But now they only sell it on the dock of Lofoten.
Also, they kill less than half as many seals as they can by law every year. It's just no market for it

Hazardous dude, once they are far enough from the Orca the seal will eventualy just get away from the boat and potentialy be harmed by the rotorblades on the engine so it's probably a good Idea to just wait it out until the Orca loses interest.

I love his whale eyes. If a seal comes to you for help you should let it help itself onto your boat. There will be plenty of instances where he won't have that opportunity meaning disrupting nature doesn't really happen. Also not getting involved in nature is a dumb concept when we're literally involved in the worst ways possible. Like pollution, over fishing, etc. helping the seal is the least we can do time to time
