I need this for when I do the 12 valve 5spd swap from the 97 Dodge 3500 into my 02 Avalanche Z71, gonna have swap the transfer cases so it can still be electric. Otherwise if the lanche was manual shift into 4x4 I wouldn't bother. Tips needed if have any, thanks.
My first kit was built on it but I switched over to using the stock shift tower after the guy that makes them got mad about it. It shifts much nicer with the stock one anyway, it was clunky and hard to shift with the short throw.
I wanted to run the full center console and the stock shifter will never work with it. The world would be a boring place if everyone left everything the way is it just because it works perfectly fine.
@@TyBrink It's defiantly different Im just not a fan of a short shifter and I like bein able to haul 3 people in the bench like seat. But 1 question, is there a signifigant difference between the distance of gears and handling better? Chevy manual transmissions are very unique to drive gotta have feel for them. Cool video though.
@@kive33 I know some people want the middle seat but I have another extended cab truck if i need to haul people in it. The shifter is not really much different as far as the length of throw, it just changes the way it moves to be able to shift inside the cupholder, more like a car shifter. I also really like the stock shift lever, and when I had two of these trucks with the manual I kept the stock shifter in one of them.
It's much sportier this way. Tell your girlfriend's little sister to stop tagging along everywhere. Riding jump seat or having someone in the jumo seat next to you sucks anyway. Big time. Unless it's your hot sister
I've never been able to find a short bed single cab v8 with a manual trans... I'm A little jelly actually
They are typically 4.3 v6 in that body very few made unless its a single cab long bed, got a 5.3 to saap into mine

This is a factory 4.8 5 speed truck. I've had 3 of these nv3500 trucks, no problems with any of the ones I've had.

The truck is stock, I only put the console and made the custom shifter. Nv3500 with stock manual transfer case

Any 99-06 gm full size truck or suv as long as the 03-06 Silverado console is being used.

I usually average 16-17 miles per gallon but not when I drive like this!

It might bolt to the transmission, but it is designed to work only with the 99-06 silverado using the 03-06 console.
