I have the first version of this pedal and adjusting the low mids really makes it nasty! I probably won't get the new version cause redundancy, but the new artwork looks sick as hell. Excited for everyone that gets to pick up this pedal.
Quilter was my fave also out of the power amps. Seems like lichtlaerm’s vision for the sound is that sort of super gnarly grindy bitey tone - it all makes sense since you said the original intent was for this to be used into the front of an amp and that’s when it reeeaally had that sound. Also their power amp, while balanced sounding, did push the tone slightly in that direction.
i heard "not quite saturated enough" and went from interested to VERY interested. More saturation is all i ever wanted from an hm2 update from the get-go. Lichtlaerm is the best!
Did anyone else get weird audio glitches? Like during scene switches and stuff it sounded like the camera audio cut in for a moment. During some sections it also sounded like the guitar / pedal audio was pitched down?
Just ordered the gold version! I'm rather interested in that Lichtlaerm power amp as well...if they sold a 2x12 cab my mini-rig would have some serious style.
@@danielringl8501holy smokes dude you just think of cool stuff people want and then make it happen. Do you know if those will eventually be available via cultfx?
I think it sounds great through the Lichtlarm, the Seymour and the Quilter power amps, but it was kinda indistinct with the Blackstar. This is just my opinion. Thanks Kyle.
Just to make sure you are aware, Quilter Tone Block voicing switching has effect even when you plug directly into FX Return, it’s a voicing switch for the poweramp section, not preamp. So the most left position basically turns it into a conventional solid state amplifier with low output impedance. The middle (FULL-Q) and the right (VINTAGE) are the tube-like voicings, they are increasing the output impedance of the amplifier, making it perform with low damping vactor, like tube power amps do, letting the speaker resonate. Anyway, I noticed you used “Vintage” voicing, which in my opinion can push some frequency bump in the upper mid a little too much. You might also find that FULL-Q voicing (middle position) is more suitable for metal/high gain tones.
I might have to check this pedal out. I bought the gehenna distortion pedal, but sold it because it was kinda flat and didn't really have any low end. This sounds alittle more up my alley.
did you have the first version of the Gehenna (silverish/whiteish print directly on a smooth black enclosure)? The new one we did after the company relaunch is everything but not lacking bass ;)
Im looking for a Soil Halo type tone. Working with a Shecter C1 platnium and a Katana MKII 100w. Haven't gotten into tone studio yet. Tried adding a Big Muff but its still not quite right. Any suggestions? (Beginner level)
Dude, I have version one, and it's nasty. Kyle, instead of using the boost on the pedal. Use a TS9 in front of the pedal and get that mid bump and saturation. I might buy version 2, but I am very happy with the OG through a 67 Bassman head through a marshall 4x12 with black backs and dv-77's. Great video
Nope - it's designed for Simon from Nightmarer, Cult FX and War from a Harlots Mouth and we implemented Kyles feedback on the first limited release for this newer version!
Thanks!

I love my Quilter. Best amp I ever had.
Sounds cool through the front of the Peavey _nice improvement
holy crap that sounds good through the powerstage!
First riff is fucking gnarly dude, might be the heaviest intro ive seen you do
Sweet Lord... that first riff tone sold me
Guess I gotta order one now. Been wanting one anyway. Will send it to you to get it signed.

Dude the fact that you got them to redo one of there pedals. Thats super duper pooper SIIIIIIIIIIIIIICCC!!!
We planned the redesign anyway but Kyles feedback and remarks in his initial demo were definitely a big help! We're always listening to everyone :)
That´s just ego... no idea what it brings to the table in this video by saying this, other than ego.
Thanks for including the power amp demos too man. Currently using the amped 1 and own the medusa. Definitely want this pedal.. now..
I prefer OD pedals, but I have to admit, that sounds pretty aggressive for a distortion pedal. Pretty cool.
I love the V1 and I actually use mine with the amped1.
Wow I got the first one because of this channel
Great revision!!!
Nice sounds. Another pedal on my list now...

i think its where it was fading between camera audio and DAW audio. but the crossfades were loooong for some reason

Slaps the top of the Lichtlaerm 2x12 that's available via mail and soon also in the shop: "You won't believe what I'm about to tell you!"

2x12 you say? I'm listening...
@@danielringl8501 if those show up on cultfx I don't think I'll be able to resist!
Movin on up ! Good job Kyle
getting a lcfr 150 tomorrow , love the lichtlaerm product a lot !
Dude...... I want one
I'm curious to hear it through a KSR PA50 now.

Very cool pedal but tell me more about that guitar. I live and breathe for explorer shapes and that one is sick! Where do I get one?
Daniel at Lichtlaerm is a gem, meanest gear on the market

Fully aware, 100% a personal preference on the voicing.
Never noticed how strange your pick hand was before, almost like a car crash i cant stop look at it now
Once again, a great sales pitch for the quilter. They should be paying you
Hey Kyle what kind of explorer is that ? It’s sick AF!
Seems like it might sound fuller and more saturated boosting a crunch channel

Did all that with the v1. No longer need to with this one.
This vs. Heavy Hatchet?
Okay fine I’ll try and get one 🙄🙄🙄
Why should I spend $299 on this pedal if I can get a tonex for same price or other processor for a reasonable amount and get same result?
They should have named this pedal the K-BULL Signature pedal!
Hellyeah 🤘
it's ok Kyle you sit at the lunch table with me
