A lot of people just never think to do this. Then they wonder why the fan motor burns out on them. I just use the basic paper filters. Personally I think the charcoal filters just don't live up to the hype.

Genuine Ford cabin filters are supposed to be like that because of the activated carbon.Very expensive filters and the best of all !!!!

The know the early lancers and think the evos too you have to cut ✂️ open the door for the cabin airfilter. Mitsubishi didn't have clip on covers.

You access the filter , by pulling the glove box all the way down. Not removing the trim. It should take 2 minutes to do.

changing the cabin air filter is really just an annual or 30k event. Unless you drive in unusual harsh conditions. No reason to waste time and money doing it 4 times a year. Merci
