I love all the actors in this adaptation. They’re so brilliantly cast here. Matthew Lillard as Shaggy is just (chef’s kiss). And to think he did ‘Scream’ a few years earlier. What range!

There’s something about the Costume Design of this movie that’s just beyond words. They nailed the assignment for each protagonist. My favourite has to be Daphne who has Purple Louis Vuitton suitcases that match her ensemble.
I know as a kid, I loved the movie and its sequel. These films are incredibly nostalgic in their own right, and have rewatched them many times. Sure, the critics didn’t think they were great, but I did. I would absolutely love a sequel with the same cast written by James Gunn, but I doubt that would ever happen.
Scrappy Doo is Scooby’s Nephew. I found him endearing in the original cartoon but yes, he’s a chaos agent.
If you've ever watched the original Lion King, you've heard Mr. Bean speak before.
He was Zazu.

Transparent is when you can see through something with the least amount of distortion. Translucent is when only light can pass through but definite shapes are hard to discern.

Oh boy Rival, you need to see Rowan Atkinson (Mr Bean) in Blackadder. It's four short seasons and has some of Rowan's best insults.

You have the exact same reaction as I do when Mr. Bean shows up in anything, and I genuinely love you for it.
You should definitely watch more Scooby Doo. It is such a classic! The old cartoons, the movies, Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated in GOATed. But at least for us do the sequel to this
the movie was initially more r rated in terms of the jokes made. more explicit stoner jokes, innuendos. velma was supposed to be sapphic (the idea was rejected) and there was even a deleted daphne and velma kiss in the scene where they're swapping exoplasm in the forest.
Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed is the 2nd movie right after this one, and its pretty slick. They definitely got a bigger CGI budget
My favourite part of the movie is when their souls get exchanged and the voices were all mixed up lol

I wish they kept in the scene where Velma drunkenly sings a love ballad to Daphne. They were supposed to be Lesbians in the R cut.
Fun Fact about this Movie: The Script was written by James Gunn and originally Intended to be targeted towards Older Teens and Adults. Shaggy and Scooby where all out Stoners and Daphne and Velma were supposed to be a Couple. But that was scrapped, some things were reshot and they even had to CGI-Away some Cleavage. Some Bokes and references are still there like the Mary-Jane Name for the Girl you caught. I’d pay Money to see the Original Version today

The Pamela Anderson Cameo made no sense to me but she’s fabulous so even her cameos are just awesome.
The guy who plays Shaggy (Matthew Lillard) when on to become the official voice of shaggy in the later cartoons
Scooby-Doo Zombie Island, The Witch's Ghost, Alien Invaders and Cyber Chase are all really good movies as well :)
Now, you've got to watch the sequel.
I'm a broken record but please, watch What we do in the Shadows (movie) I know you will have a great time. Anyway I'm glad to see a good adaptation of Scooby doo being reacted to haha even tho Shaggy is only at a 10 percent power

the movie was originally a film for adults and it swore and shaggy was supposed to be smoking weed im the car but they kept the joke and changed it to food and gave him the munchies. and mary jane is the best joke of the movie 😭 then she changed it to a family movie

5:39 Some airlines actually don’t have assigned seating! I mostly fly Southwest (quick 60-90 minute flights) and they definitely don’t. I imagine that for longer flights or international flights, it’s pretty much always assigned though. And we had definitely found seats and were buckled in by the time the plane took off LOL
YES YES AND YES. THIS IS MY FAV REAL LIFE CAST OF SD AND LIVE ADAPTION OF ANIMATION IN GENERALL. This movie is so nostalgic and I enjoy it every single watch
