Digitakt Tutorial Video: Granular Synthesis!

- In this tutorial I share with you one way to use granular synthesis techniques with the Elektron Digitakt. This technique is similar to the Dataline Style Time stretch, however the result is very different. This technique is quite useful as a bedding for compositions.

Ahhhhh, I am glad you asked! The DT is so streamlined that it's hard to find "big brain stuff" as you put it. I'd say the Time Stretch Effect is the most complex thing you can do besides writing a good song on the DT.

***To add additional "Grains" place retriggers on the track trigs.
ADDITIONALLY: You can also change the track multiplier to make more "Grains."
ON ANOTHER NOTE: You do not have to do anything with the track LFO trig lock ---> This just allows you to quickly change into the Time Stretch Effect.
Or multiply the tempo scale on the track, seems easier to me!

@@azbryand2 Yeah the DT is so fast! I love my RYTM, I have the MK1 but I wish I had MK2 for sampling. I would maybe use it instead of the DT.
Does the new timestretch machine alter this technique at all?
Really awesome, much thx! A little confused with the lfo trig? Seems start time is modulated throughout sequence not just on selected trig (1). Any insight?
Trig one starts the LFO and the rest of the trigs just carry the lfo
