Remember when Cenk started? how dry he was? "Here is this feature... I will show you this now" He's really grown into his role now and makes great presentations.
Excellent work Cenk and Elektron on the video. Very clear, very well shot and edited. I don't agree with many of the choices on this box (or the last or overbridge) but this is heads and shoulders above past videos.
I love the ability to chromatically play samples and to parameter-lock start points and see a visual representation (4:55). I'm sold. This little box is much more impressive than I initially thought. Now if only I could find one in stock...
what a sick video! really perfectly presented! the sound you had going just before going back into safe mode was insane, i wish you played it longer haha
This video has sold me the Digitakt and has allowed me to get introduced into it very quickly when I received it yesterday. Already making tunes!! Love it!! Thank you
Elektron Digitakt - Just watched the presentation... Fun "little" machine - brings back the spontaneity, experimentation, embracing the "limitations" for more creativity... Good and different way of exploring ideas and track creation as opposed to the seriousness and limitless possibilities of the DAW. :)
I watch Cuckoo's videos at 1.5x speed (same as with Bob Ross videos). BoBeats at normal speed. But Cenk I have to slow down the video to 0.75x speed... sometimes 0.5x.
Nice one Cenk! Just getting ready to sample some live sax and trombone, already have a full folder of Jomox Xbase09 drum samples that I use on most everything, well done :)
Cenk is the Bob Ross of electronic music. Btw it would be nice if the loop on a sample could be ping ponged, like you could on tracker programs like Modplug and Fasttracker.
Hey! I'd like to know more about the 8 MIDI tracks, please. I know you can program up to 4 voices per step via the Digitakt's controls, but I'd like to know if the notes can be played via external MIDI input. I did not see that info in the manual.
Great Vid Cenk - can you pause the recording/sampling to create a sample chain with different devices?, i.e. you had to unplug the xbase and plug in the guitar - how was that accomplished? also does Digitakt - automatically find zero crossings? don't see the little square like the OT thanks.
that option alone of choosing function and no to return to the original settings of the sequence has been on my dreams for years, that to me is a reason to buy this machine. does this function exist on the other elektron gear?
Can you tell me why when I choose a sample in the source page and load it in a pad, I see that this sample is duplicated later in the list of samples that appears in source?
Hellcore +1 on a MIDI feature video. I think that is what a lot of us have been waiting to see. Can you use a external MIDI keyboard to live record MIDI notes/chords? It is it only step sequenced?
They can't because it's bugged, using midi tracks makes the Digitakt freeze up, happens on mine and is well documented by users but no response from Elektron yet.
curious about midi sequencing. So many reviews about sampling... Can you play in MIDI notes with an external synth? Then, of course, have the synth playback the notes from the digitakt sequencer. So the Digitakt becomes the center of the studio much like an MPC... Thanks!
I'm looking for a machine like this or MPC one. What is the principle difference in workflow between Digitakt and MPC? Can I sample long track on Digitakt and then chop the samples and play them live by hitting the buttons as I would do on MPC? I'm interested in sampling and making music of samples, can I use all 16 buttons to play live?
This is the best I've seen on the Digitakt so far. Other videos have been impressive but confusing. Granted, he makes it look easy because he is an expert on the beast, but it's so powerful that I just might learn the dreaded Elektron Werkfloh. BTW, Swedes pronounce "digital" as "diggy-tal". Anglophones say "dijjy-tal". So to me it shall be pronounced "dijjy-takt". Because I am culturally insensitive.
In minute 6:37 you are adding high hats. After that you say you can record the knobs movement and parameters in realtime so to speak. Is this possible with the Digitone also? This is something I really enjoy on my circuit and hope the digitone has this too. If anyone has insight in this, an answer would be really appreciated. Thanks!
When I play project first in the grid mod, tracks with samples play something strange (just noise), when grid off then everything immediately fine. Did I set something wrong?
Question - is there any device that I can load a few of my own (wav) samples with - and then trigger those samples using an external midi device by sending only one midi note? I have a Roland SPD-SX and it has no sequencing capabilities. I have a kick drum trigger that fires a wav file in the SPD-SX - Since the SPD-SX has Midi out, I am trying to use the midi out note (from the kick drum) and have it step through a sequence of Wav files. I am looking for this type of device - any help would be appreciated - Thank you in advance
Love my digitakt, although when I set one track to go 4 bars, it ends up changing all my tracks to 4 bars.. I can't seem to figure out how to have different bar lengths on each track like cenk is doing in this demo.. Is this some bug?
I repeat, dude ur a legend... ur a fuckin genius, after this video (and b4 it also) I want this product so bad... sadly im just gonna miss out on it cause its no avail yet and go for the drumbrute but damn what I really want is this... compact and can do everything... its the perfect companion
I find myself waking at 3am to go into studio because of this machine,,,,, 😳❤️
that has just absolutely blown my mind!
Yes Bro, Do you use it?
Incredible presentation that immediately sells this hugely powerful machine. Great job Cenk.
this is the best product introduction I have ever seen.
Remember when Cenk started? how dry he was? "Here is this feature... I will show you this now" He's really grown into his role now and makes great presentations.
Are you his mother?
Yes but don't tell anyone.
"I will show you this now" lol man that was my favorite line of his. So serious and straight to the point haha.
He secretly plays for Everton when he's not making videos.

what a sick video! really perfectly presented! the sound you had going just before going back into safe mode was insane, i wish you played it longer haha
This video has sold me the Digitakt and has allowed me to get introduced into it very quickly when I received it yesterday. Already making tunes!! Love it!! Thank you
5 years later should I buy one? Or the MPC or Polyend
Hey Cenk, brilliant video thanks for posting. So pumped for mine to arrive here in Australia!
Thanks for making such awesome gear, Elektron people. We love you.
this pitch to the max change u made is pure genious
Hi this is Cenk, i'm here to jeopardize your bank account and private life.
No joke, I'm willing to risk my current debts just to get this machine.
my life just got hi jacked. now a pandemy may come and I'll be for always happy in my flow with the DT
Cenk is a really good guy!! respect to him
I love the global pitch up/pitch down feature on Digitakt. It opens up whole other worlds for patterns 🎛
And this is what you call a bloody good product demo!!
You got one of best tutorials for digitakt

I know right! and even for Cenk 4:03 was fast
Try 0.25, it's trippy beyond words. :D
lol why speed up bob ross? it's so peaceful at his pace
@@alexfarzan1120 Um…some people are actually learning to paint!! Haha
this looks fantastic. i look forward to the Digitakt being my first Elektron instrument!
Did you buy one? 6 years later I’m looking at this instrument or the MPC maybe the Polyend
@@FluxFreeman nope. I have a Force and an MPC One now! Force in particular is incredible.
@@suitandtieguy yea the Force looks dope. I started out with a 2000XL. Saving and loading via floppy disc. The thing sounded like a fax machine
Every single day Im learning something new about this thing! :-D
It is amazing. Could we perform these with Analog Rytm as well?
This is most crazy machine i ever seen.Just briliant!!

@Austin Tobin you aren't lying lol!!
If anything other than the Cenk of Elektron hes the Phil Swift of Electronic Music!
the power this man holds
Quite a sophisticated sound design machine - I like it- there are enough toys and standard beat machines out there
Nice ! The Digitakt is really inspiring fun machine to use!
Would be great if we could have an update about Overbridge which was advertised as available with this product??
Latest FW 1.08 has many issues. Hope you´ll update immediately so we can use all the features.

10:20 that just sold me. that was a crazy transition
Thanks cenk for this video, it seems more simple but can you make all of it with an AR ?
Cenk merhaba, EQ nasıl halledilecek, bu noktayı anlatabilir misin biraz?
çok teşekkürler.
Now I finally understand what this thing does. I’m buying one.
Harika video saol Cenk! Love this machine.
totally killed it 😊 wow awesome bit of gear
Can you tell me why when I choose a sample in the source page and load it in a pad, I see that this sample is duplicated later in the list of samples that appears in source?
I saw this video and ordered one on B&H lol. But it seems to be a preorder I guess they are not out yet?
Hello Cenk, what brand are those patch cables in the back of the Elektron Digitakt going into the left/right output ( with silver ends )
Would be really nice to get a vid on the MIDI features. :)
Hellcore soon :)

You are the first video I've seen do anything interesting. .Prior to this I seen no reason people were into it
I wish they add some midi fx. Arps, delay, scales etc.
With 1.05 update ... either SAVE CHAIN or SONG MODE w/ SAVE function = PLEASE and THANKS!!!!!
This man is a genius!
you da master,
Damn it. I was gonna get a vermona... And you come out with this bad boy. To the bank we go again
The look on Cenk's face starting at 10:34 is why I bought this machine. I want that look on my face too.
The chords sound like the end of Cirrus, by Bonobo, same key even!
can you record live? As in record a guitar track to on top of a beat coming from the same machine at the same time.
When I use the knobs to adjust the start and end of the sample, the bar moves very slowly. Why? Thanks!
Maybe you already know this but just press the knobs first and then try it
The three conditions is really cool. Is this present on the Octatrack as well?
Yes
Will you be able to bring in samples via overbridge?
The pads are a little noisy/clicky for my liking. Still got one on order and looking forward to finally getting it.
all praise the mighty overloard digitakt!

that max pitch was the ace up his sleeve
I love you Cenk
I know the sampling is in mono (or playback is rather). But can you pan each of the samples in the final stereo output? Nice video :D
brassmonkey playback and output is Stereo.
Thanks for that, just saw a clip from Cuckoo too, saw you could pan the samples which is great :D
HI, will it be possible to implement stereo monitoring? thanx
one machine..endless possibilities!
Are there sample libraries available for this machine?
When I play project first in the grid mod, tracks with samples play something strange (just noise), when grid off then everything immediately fine. Did I set something wrong?

Dude, Mr. Dataline is fucking amazing!
Is the chromatic mode polyphonic ? That would be aswesome!
Has it got the multioutput feature?
Thanks for sharing!
Goddamn, this look hard as f*ck to work on. But oh boy, I sure want one!!!!
When it comes to chopping up a sample, it's a great pain in the ass. The digitakt is great for just beat making with one shots.
Cenk, welcome to Club Abyss ;)
does cenk have an artist alias or a soundcloud page?
Seens easy and the result is convincing, but how many years of training does it take to know the machine as well as Cenk does ?
3 or 4 months
Watching this 6 years later, bout to snag this instrument at the local drum computer shop
can you input .wav samples via usb?
Amazing !
fantastic tutorial. I can't wait for mine to arrive
The Sequencer is insane!!! …Stil
Minor point but would love some rubber buttons. Much nicer to jam on.
