Did not know that it has the glide lock. Very good improvement! I wish Rolex would make it easier to swap the straps just like VC with the Overseas. But for sure that is a strategy behind.

cool video. The Oyster flex strap is not just a rubber strap tho. It is impregnated with titanium on the inside. I have the Sky dweller on yellow gold with a black dial on an OF and it`s my fav Rolex piece. It`s like you`re flexing without trying too hard.
Love this watch! I have the all white gold model and it's a bit heavy and difficult to get the size right. Of all the Rolex models, this is the only one I would pay above retail for, just not too much over retail.
I find the Sky-Dweller a very versatile watch, unfortunately it would be very large for my skinny wrist and it’s also a little bit to large also for a dress watch. But it’s indeed between sport and dress watch. A perfect every day watch. I also really like how the Oysterflex strap fits.

I don't mind what they've done bringing out the rubber on it, but i'm more annoyed that you can't get the leather strap leaving the cellini as the only leather strap "dress watch" option from them.

I think the oysterflex doesn't suit the watch. Also, I don't like the Rolex coppery rose gold in general. But most importantly I'm not a big fan of the looks of the Sky-Dweller in the first place, although it's technically advanced, being an anual calendar, GMT and works with ring command.
I just bought the white gold Daytona with the "steel"-colored dial and black subdials, on Oysterflex (even though I already own the almighty steel in white and black, and yellow gold with the emerald green dial and black dial with champagne subdials). It's phenomenal and now I'm on the list for this exact Sky-Dweller. I have the steel with the blue dial and the two tone with the champagne dial but there's something about this one. I didn't realize how lucky I was for my AD to offer me a precious metal Daytona on Oysterflex. All of them are super hard to get now. It's insane.
It’s all about the little rubber flaps. On the Rolex website under detailed specifications it says flaps. Flaps. It’s a new development in horology. Have Patek got a strong flap game going on for 2021? It remains to be seen how rubber flaps will roll out. Post Covid.
$41k wow, there must be a lot of people with some serious cash out there....Not sure I would drop $41k on this though.... I would much rather buy a pre owned rose gold Daytona with the ivory dial. The white gold , blue dial looks great , I would definitely put that on a rubber strap , the alligator strap looks gaudy as the watch is too big and bulky to be “ dressy” in my opinion. I see it more as a dressier sports watch due to the fluted bezel, but not a dress watch .if you don’t like the metal bracelet , I agree the rubber strap is the way to go. Also agree on the Oysterflex wording on the strap , I’m surprised Rolex would do that. It lacks class and elegance, something you would see on an Oris or Tag Heuer maybe ‘ although I don’t like it there too. Rubber straps are best left plain, or with a pattern , but no branding on them, that’s tacky.
lol you can buy a vacheron Constantin overseas and a patek Philippe caltrava for the price of this wolex overpriced sky dweller but people will buy it because the dial says rolex the only rolex I think is worth the money is the zenith Daytona in my opinion :)

My Rolex view point has always been "A Rolex IS a bracelet watch". Too many other brands do a strap watch better.
