amazing addon! Also bought both your addons for depth map and ztransform. It's very useful in vfx for me because I can sometimes cheat my way out of recreating a 3d scene and use a backdrop, like you did with the cave. Thank you for the tutorials too!

Thanks ! Could it be possible to use the black area of the depth mask as a mask ? To directly get the holl instead of setting this boolean. To get a kind of slide ramp to unbuild a certain quantity of black. With a ramp we also could pick the color.

Hi. This is a great idea and possible solution. I'm going to be looking into this more...thank you for the suggestion. A while back I tried to build a feature to control in a non-destructive way the mesh produced based on the depth value, but wasn't yet able to get that working.

@@vizdotlife Thanks. It could also replace alpha mask for portrait, tree, people etc... Undestructive, untel apply your depth math options

The one thing with this method that has always bugged me and I wish there was some way to fix it is that the deeper into the image the smaller things get so you never get an accurate perspective of the floor and ceiling I wish there was some way to work around this easily. Oh well hopefully in the future.

That's a fair point. Yeah, that would be great if these depth map models continued to improve for floor and ceiling perspectives. I'm wondering if using the proportional editing tool for cases like this to reshape or adjust the floor or ceiling to fit more with the perspective could help. It would take time to do it, but that was my initial thought.
