  • This was a video that I took on 17th November 2019. This was just 6 days after my father passed away. I was in the UK and it had been a very tough time. I decided to go to the Brecon Beacons and walk the Four Falls. I hesitated whether to make a video, but I decided to. The walk was much needed and the photography not matter how good or bad the end results, did me a lot of good. I miss my Dad terribly. The entire walk I contemplated about how much he did for me. So that is the context to this video and why it has been a few months before I got round to editing it and uploading it.

What a beautiful area. Waterfalls are a favorite of mine to photograph and you did a really nice job of it. Thank you for your explanations, which help in understanding your perspective of the falls. Since I live in Utah, USA, I won't ever be able to visit this place and I enjoyed you sharing your experience.

Lovely images of some fantastic locations, Jon. I’ve never been there, but it’s on my list. I’ve done a lot of photography in the Vale of Neath and around Merthyr, but - so far - I still haven’t managed to get over to the falls. Perhaps this year! Thanks for posting. 👍

Great video Jon. The four falls is a magical place which I haven't been to yet even though I live in Pembrokeshire which is a bit further west. Love the images and think you were very brave traversing the slippery rocks. Sorry about your Dad, very sad to hear. Great to see another video pop up. Maybe you'll get down to our neck of the woods one day! Thanks and hope you are coping with your loss OK. Best Wishes

Thanks Elaine...I used to live in South Wales, and I'd regularly head to South West Wales near Swansea. But I've never been to Pembrokshire, but it's been on my list a long time, especially to shoot coastal landscapes.

It is amazing how you capture simplicity in the chaos that a forest can be.
