This was the first time I really got the chance to use the Panasonic Lumix S1R and the 24-105 f4 and the 70-200 f4 lens. I ventured down to Crackington haven for a long awaited shot of the dinosaur's spine.

Glad to see you making the most your loan kit! As you say, it's good fun using a different bit of kit. I really enjoyed my loan of the S1R.

Cracking images Tom, when near the start and it all went blank I thought the loan camera ended up in the sea, glad that wasn't the case.

Love those images BTW, really good work, I know just how determined we have to be to get the shot and your advice on safety is spot on. I know this spot being a Westcountry lad myself, we're so blessed. I really want the S1R, maybe in 2020!! This camera seems to meet a lot of bias from other marque users, I'm going to hire it and try it for myself though, I'm a Lumix fan.
It’s a beautiful camera to use it really is! So well made and the files with the f4 lenses are really nice! Amazing bit of kit

Bought a D800 with a low shutter count (17000) recently at a good price and managed to get a 24-120 f4 at a good price also.
Absolutely love it. I now use my D7200 with my sigma 10-20 for wide angles - so no lens changing.
If I mentioned this before, sorry it's my age 😱

Those little M50s are tough little things aren't they! Mine has gone over a couple of times and is still going. Only a matter of time before I do it some real damage. I guess that's what camera insurance is for.

Nice camera and great images Tom. Trouble with FF is weight of the glass. I'm thinking of swapping to a Fuji to lighten my bag (not the medium format). I can live with the reduced quality if there is any. Enjoyed the video and looking forward to the next one.

Not really mate, if I’m honest it was a hard shot to get because of the harsh backlighting lighting up my foreground and the far distance was in shadow. Thanks for watching mate

Did your M50 go into the water Tom? Is it OK? The sea on that beach is dangerous - it ruined my 70-200 when I was there! Nice moody monos mate...your'e going to sulk like a baby when that camera goes back aren't you lol...
It did a little mate:( but she’s alright though! It is a dangerous beach you could get into some trouble there if you wasn’t careful or with an incoming tide! Really oh mate that sucks! Didu get caught by a wave?
PhotoNinja Yeah, it was high tide and had my camera bag open up on a rock behind me and a freak wave came in and flooded it! Photoguard sorted me out a new one though!
