More important...has ever happened to you or to one of the people you gifted one of those, that the herbs caught fire? That is the thing that most sets me off...apart from that, great idea, and a very nice video (your candles are not sloppy, by the way, far from it!)
Heya! Just wanna ask if it is really necessary to have an altar? Like I am a beginner witch and I don't have any deity or ancestors or anything in my rituals as I am self-made. Due to family situations it's really hard for me to have an altar.....So is it really necessary or I can just use my study table....by cleansing it before any rituals since I don't do it everyday???

No, you don't need an actual specific altar. You might try having a special shelf where you put pretty, nature oriented things like shells or rocks in a decorative jar. If you are old enough to order something online, FireMountain Gems is a fabulous wholesale source from which you can get gemstone chips and little corked bottles and create pretty, but unassuming spell jar necklaces that you can hide under your shirt. Creativity is at the heart of your sacral (second) chakra. Utilizing that energy in ways that won't make your family wig out can be quite satisfying, really, and can help you become a more resourceful witch -- far more than any fancy altar setup. 😁
I really wish we were able to talk face to face, as what I've learned on my journey about working with various Beings would need to stay out of a published book. (Being what I am, I don't desire the publicity of a published, advertised book. 😜)

@@iris8580 I am so very glad it helped. Fwiw, I am more of a Druidic Taoist, specifically, and in a more general sense, a Spiritualist. I tried the confines of what you might call traditional Wicca (the Gardnerian/Alexander variety). It's still kind of too group-think-ish and limiting for me. With the past life stuff I've uncovered, going the more Spiritualist/Druid/Taoist route was more my jam. Especially with my channels open as they are. 😅
I love candle magick, its much easier for me and helps with actually physically doing something for spellwork, give that seratonin
Love your videos! They always have such a calm vibe. Using a paper curled into a funnel will cut down on the mess; you could even write a petition on the paper before rolling it up, and burn it after the herbs are in. Also wax warmers are fabulous for a flameless option. Just add your herbs/oils to the wax cube and let it melt together.

For getting the herbs down in the hole, I'd coil a strip of paper into a tiny funnel and pour them down into its centre, in case that's helpful. But honestly, spilling them has its own beauty--such represents the intention of overflowing generosity by gifting spells to others.
A little paint brush might help with cleaning up the flower bits. You could use it to sweep then into the hole
Oh my gosh y’all I just came across these yesterday but if you want to use a small amount of product and be precise look up micro spoons or lab spatulas. Definitely going to be trying this.
i am always conflicted when it comes to spells that affect other people when they don't known about the spell. would love to hear your view on that though
I tell them that I prayed over it, or that I got it to "wish them luck/peace/success" etc.
With candles like this you're not using the spell ON a person. Its an energy thats created around the candle.
The person has free-will to choose to light the candle because they enjoy the energy created by the candle, or they can choose not to light the candle.
No spells are being put onto another person, they have personal choice to engage with the candles energy or not.
also it depends highly what kind of spell you're adding - if it's protection spell or any well wishing I see no problem. If it's something insidious I'll be conflicted. I also avoid putting curses on people, instead if someone is very problematic and causing harm I'll make spell that brings justice and let world to teach them a lesson XD
Honestly this topic doesn't seem get much discussion. I mean, say you work for a person to get a job or such. And that job ends up being in an accountants in Qatar (broadly exaggerated ex) and that could get between that persons relationships or what not. Whilst we can be specific, it's always easier if the 'target' knows so they can apply their Will to the equation along the way of the results.
I've never used this exact sort of 'drilling' technique, but loaded jar candles are one of my favorite spell methods! And they do make fabulous gifts for witchy friends! I always let the recipient knows what it's meant to attract, (I'm not a subtle witch; I'm not just "out of the 'Broom Closet,' I blasted the damn door off it's hinges when I fully embraced my Craft at eighteen) but some of my favorite recipes are "green candle, cinnamon, basil, peppermint, and Angelica root powders, quartz, peridot, and citrine crystal chips for prosperity/money drawing; pink/red candle, crushed rose petals, orange blossom, cardamom, and cloves, with rose quartz, garnet, and garnet chips for passion/ love drawing; Dark blue or purple candle, lavender flowers, chamomile, vanilla, gardenia, and just a hint of valerian root, with amethyst, moonstone, and clear quartz chips for stress relief/ peaceful sleep!" 4:32 Ay would be mindful of ingredients that have explosive tendencies cause I've made that mistake before. Especially if your having a deity or entity of intense character for flames usually means fire hazard. One of the reasons why some herbs are specifically supposed to be handled by practitioners in closed practices.
When I do this I let the candle melt completely using a coffee warmer and then i load them.
You can also stick them in the oven for a few minutes to level them back off

Try using a funnel for adding the powders into the pit you made, love. Since you are grinding your herbs into powder before adding them, it will work. I use this this to add oils and powders in tiny one dram vials, it works like a charm! 💖✨

Use straw to spoon to scoop up the ingredient, and then slide the ingredient into the hole with the straw.
You could cut the straw with an angle so it have a point end, then it will be much more precise.
Use candle top warmer/ warmer light to perfectly even out any spot.
Of all the suggestions I've ever seen to simplify and demess this, Ngl, this I think is the best idea.

Hi, Lyssa -- just a word of caution from a Fire sign: glitter could possibly catch fire. I love my glitter as much as any Fae being, but please, please be careful. I would recommend switching to a ribbon on the outside of the jar, just because I don't want you or anyone to lose their house due to something in a candle. Do as you will, of course, but it only takes one time to create a problem. Heck, gel candles themselves have been known to explode and cause fires, and that's without any spell ingredients attached.

be cautious of what beads or things that are not supposed to be burned in your candles. I had one explode on me, thankfully it only flew a bit of a distance but yeah...hot glass with hot beads can be bad sometimes.

FYI. Chopsticks work great for making holes in your candles. If you're using some oils mixed with your herbs the whole is the right size and you're able to stuff the herbs into the hole and or if you're just using oils the holes are big enough for the oil to drop into. Future reference you know. And you could also use skewers sometimes a pen or a pencil can be too thick but then again depending on how wide and big your candle is. But yeah I thought I'd share that with yous All.
quick note to be careful about any potential allergens if your going to be gifting these! i know for my self goldenrod is a huge trigger for seasonal allergies and i have a friend who is allergic to cinnamon and peppermint which is commonly used, always make sure the ingredients you put in something are safe for the user to consume or burn! safety first! take care of yourselves

Roll a piece of paper into a triangle shaped funnel and pour your herbs through that, it saves on the mess.

I have to actually try this out, but I wonder if you could take a little piece of paper and roll it up partway into the hole so as to create a little funnel for the ingredients? And then you could even write intentions or sigils on the paper to "funnel" them in there too :D

I’ve seen the rule of thumb for spell candles is to always snuff them, never blow them out. But if this is given to a regular person, I’d imagine quite often the candle would just get blown out. I’m just wondering how that would effect these spells?
Interesting observation. I've always felt that was a silly superstition. It's how birthday candles work, but death to all other spell candles? It makes no sense.
That's very different depending person to person. You don't have to snuff candles at all, blowing them out is fine.
As the other commentors have said, that's more a superstition than a hard rule.

You could just get some candle wax pellets, melt those and cover your herbs, crystals or oils.

If you're a beginner, smoke-cleanses work just dandy. Run the candle through incense or sage a few times till it feels cleansed (I'm clairsentient so this works well for me. YMMV. 😅)

LOL honestly I don't know. I used a commercial Road Opener blend. It definitely had citrus in it. I'm thinking hyssop for cleansing and clearing? Cinnamon to speed thing sup, forward motion. Easy enough to look up online.

Is this ethical? I mean giving someone a spell they don't know about......or is this hidden in the way that the other person can utilize the spell without anyone knowing? 🤔
This depends on your personal morals.
I would have no problem using a spell like this because in my opinion, the candle is not actually being used *on* a person. Essentially when the candle is lit the spell is working on the energy around the candle (bring in the energy of relaxation, happiness ect) then People around the candle may or may not be effected by that energy created. They have free-will to light the candle or not. If they choose to, they light the candle because they enjoy the energy the candle brings. They have a choice.
As long as it's a friendly spell and not a curse or hex I see no problem in gifting someone one of these.
Why do my spells don't work? None of them🥺 ....its been a while i have been practicing
There could be quite a number of factors. One, if you yourself have not done any kind of shadow work, clearing out limited beliefs and stuff like that, your own vibes might be working against you.
Secondly, depending on what type of spells you're attempting, you may not be on an energetic level for the intention to manifest. This, again, is where I would direct you to shadow work. And this includes delving into past life experiences intruding on your ability to do what you intend.
Thirdly, if you have done such work, but your spells aren't coming out as intended, there might be unseen dark entities working against you. Your timing may be off, as well. On that note, if something isn't meant to happen, it won't, no matter how many spells one does.
But start with yourself first. Mind you, part of my diving into both shadow and spell work was creating little chakra-related candles, adding my friend's very helpful oils, plus my own intention to blast through blocks in my chakras. Whatever got released was what I needed to face, because it was buried sooo deep.

I dont know if you even check comments but I dont know where else to contact you. Your discord server is running rampant with misinformation and your mods are very disrespectful. The server feels unsafe and your mods were encouraging working with the Kabbalah regardless of if it's a closed practice. There was even talk of Voodoo Dolls not long ago that didn't get corrected or shut down. Your mods also want to know way too much about members' practices (in order to give them the proper role....which i dont understand but okay) that could get them seriously hurt in the craft. Giving out how you are protected and what you are skilled in can give someone the opportunity to turn that against you and really fuck your life up.
You aren't active in server and probably should be. That server feels like the aftermath of a warzone and the energy is still there. I dont know if you even give a shit about your server but you need to do something about it. Your mods are out of control.
