When I was learning to use my pendulum, I had a basic sketch of where my husband and I were living at the time. I had him hide a little ceramic figurine somewhere in the house when I wasn't at home. When I got home, I used the sketch and my pendulum and was able to narrow down the room. Then, I divided the room portion of the sketch into sections and narrowed down the section. Once I had the section, I went to the room and the section and looked around. I asked some additional questions, such as, "Is it hiding in that upside-down plastic jack-o-lantern on top of the fridge?" It indicated that it was so I looked and there was the figurine. I was amazed and my husband was as well!

Pendulum magic for beginners by Richard Webster is a great book for someone trying to figure it all out, comes with exercises to teach all the ways you can use it (finding lost objects, making decisions, divination, health questions, and using it with your houseplants/garden, etc.) it helped me tremendously when I started and I hope it helps some of you too! ♥ great video Olivia, straight to the point full of info to get someone started!

I also use mine to read peoples chakras, I'll lay them down cleanse the area and them, then we both go into a medotative state and i run the pendulum down their chakras pausing over each one and see how it reacts, if it swings heavaly that chakra may be overactive and if it stops completely that chakra might be blcoked, is super fun and has proven accurate for me

ScentsAndStones I’ve only done it a couple of times, but the same way as I’d ask any question:
“Can you see/do you know where X is right now?”
“Is it X place?” - yes no questions
Keep asking until you get answers, narrowing it down.
E.g. ok, it’s in this room, is it in front or behind me? Ok behind, is it hiding in a bag? Yes, ok which bag? Point to it? Black handbag. Still can’t find it, did it slip into the lining of the bag in a hole? Yes, found.

You know what's funny is that I actually didn't know that pendulums could help you find lost objects until I actually tried to find something with mine. I was wrapping presents and I lost the scissors in the mess I was making, which happens so often with me. I think everyone loses the scissors while wrapping presents, so this is a very useful thing to know. Anyway, out of desperation, I asked my pendulum some questions to help me find them and it helped me, so now I know that I don't have to drive myself insane looking for stuff if my pendulum can at least give me a good place to start.

I once tried to communicate with someone I wasn't supposed to through my pendulum and then I thought "I should cleanse it" but was too lazy to do so...

Stay Woke I’d stay away from using sage as it is endangered, there are alternatives such as rosemary, thyme etc. Also, smudging is different from smoke cleansing, smudging is a closed practice and is a ritual native americans perform, smoke cleaning is when you use smoke to cleanse things l.
This is interesting. Being children, we did "spirit talking" with the same method but using the big needle on a thread instead of the pendulum. By the way, love your vids, always positive and tune fore a good day!
That's actually a pretty common way of making a pendulum yourself!

I've heard that pendulums are not always safe. As someone who had suffered an attachment from using a Ouija board irresponsibly as a young kid, into my teen years I will never touch one again. I'd like to try a pendulum though. I am a witch, much more aware of the proper protection measures to take before use..but I'm still afraid that that the spirit that was attached to me may be lying dormant as I go through life now thinking its gone, could be waiting for me to specifically do something like this almost like "I knew she'd be back" and deviously come back to terrorize me. I am terrified to try any divination techniques but still want to overcome this fear and gain back the control. Thank you for your lovely videos Olivia ♥️

pendulums are definitely my favorite form of divination at the moment-- Just recently while setting up for a spell I found out that it can also be used as a compass to help you figure out which way to face or set up an altar!

Also,, I don’t think the spirits I won’t with would turn on me. And I work with my guides, ancestors, a house spirit. And Gods that I believe in. Evil spirits are surprisingly easy for me to handle and I’ve come a crossed many that just wanted to hurt me.
Can you go into depth on the evil eye sometime? I'd like to learn more about it but I'm having trouble finding a lot of info on it.

I've always wanted to use a pendulum but I've always found my success rate a bit variable so thank you so much for sharing your experience.
I’m very new to witchcraft but have always felt strangely drawn to things that others just weren’t. I’ve found that the main things that have pointed me towards witchcraft is that I have almost always had prophetic dreams and sensed/heard/or even seen spirits commonly those of my late grandparents. I started using a pendulum to in a way clarify what I saw in my dreams and in contacting the spirits I sensed to gather their intentions with me

I decided to use one when paranormal activity started increasing. Turns out, the spirit is a young girl. She actually helped me to gain confidence to ask out my bf I've been with now for an entire year ☺️ and I feel he's a love from my past life. She dissapeared soon after but showed up again. I know her name but idk if she wants others to know so I've only told close friends her name. She's so amazing and very sweet 🤗.

The spirit isn't a young girl but a demon is disguise, ask her in Jesus's name who are you and you'll hear the truth, these demons will slowly ruin your life you'll see, I'm trying to warn you

*To anyone who doesn't want to take your pendulum with you outside or for some reason can't or won't spend money on a pendulum; No worries, you can use an everyday item to make your pendulum.*
The end of a pendulum doesn't need to be in any specific stone, I often use my headset (earbuds) as a pendulum when I’m out about.
I also make pendulum out of whatever I have in front of me which will work, such as some type of long fiber, thread, (thinned) rope, metal string, necklace or even a single hair strand and then attach something ’heavy’ in the end like a ring, a stone, a screw/spike, a key 🔑 , etc.
Basically, anything that's heavy enough to swing, but not too heavy that it’ll break.
I find this very helpful in so many daily practices as I try finding my way around on this planet 🌝, especially when it comes to spending money on impulsive purchases that I really feel I want to buy then and there, but might not need. Or if when I meet new people in real life or online (like a date etc.) and don't know if I should trust them or not (as I’ve had a lot of past experiences with people who took advantage of me), but as she said in the video; you can essentially make use of it in every situation or choice you find questioning yourself.
It’s your pendulum, it’s your connection. It can be made from ’anything’ and you can use it as a tool to whatever feel like using for. 😃💜

I took some lessons on pendulums a few years ago and since then have been my favorite thing~
I’ve used many of them in my life, sometimes even just modified necklaces.
I’ve developed a routine for using a pendulum.
I ask the pendulum to move in a certain way if they are willing to talk to me. If they are, I thank them, and ask them to show me their preferred yes/no/maybe swings. I thank them, verify, thank them, and then ask my questions. I always thank them and show respect
im a jewish witch and i always wear a magen david neckalce (and by always i mean i never ever take it off) and i've used that as my pendulum for years now! it's the one i connect with the most and since it is always with me it's always connected to my energy (and it's definitely a comfort object of mine)

My 1st pendulum was this fake pointed crystal necklace I got out of a coin machine in an old Kmart in my teens. It was instantly my favorite piece of jewelry and I wore it for many, many, many years. I remember watching a show on TV about ghosts or something spooky when I was like 14 and a person used a pendulum. It was a crystal like my necklace so I was like "OK I'm gonna do this!" And started using my necklace like the person on TV. Circling left was Yes and circling right was No for the person on TV so that's how my necklace responded to me. I used it on and off a few times for different things over the years.
Then came my bday(either 16 or 17) party this one year and the one time my pendulum necklace did something crazy-go-nuts! Pokémon was popular and I had these Pokémon toys. I put them on my cake as decorations. One of them was meowth who's one of my favorites. After blowing out the candles I noticed meowth was missing.
Now at my party was my cousins who were thieves. The youngest liked meowth too and she was right up my armpit during candle time. She was the likely culprit but I couldn't accuse her outright. I made a fuss about my missing toy but she wasn't budging so I was like "lol time for magic"
So I announced to all kids and adults present i was going to Devine out my missing toy. All the kids were like WHOA REALLY and I'm sure the adults ignored me lol. I walked to my bedroom with all the kids following me. I grabbed my necklace, sat at my desk and drew a map of my house. I announced that with my crystal I would find the location of my toy. I asked it what room the toy would be in and went to watch the crystal's answer.
The thing like spun in a circle and RIPPED from my hand and fell flat as a brick on my desk (with a noticeable tak! sound) with the pointed end pointing directly onto my desk and my pencil holder. I followed the point's direction and sure enough there was my toy in that holder! It literally pointed right to it! ! Everyone there was like OMG and my thief cousin was white as a sheet.
There was no way that toy got in my desk on its own. No one had left the room between candle time and my announcing my use of magic. Every kid had followed me into that room so the only time my cousin had to stash it was while I was getting my necklace. So there was no way I knew it was there to have faked the trick. It was straight up pure spirit magic energy! ! I was prepared to map each room then check each person directly to find it instead of it going down like that! Haha
My cousin stopped messing with me after that. I think it might had scared her. LOL
SO...yeah that's my crazy pendulum story and why I absolutely love pendulums. I still have that plastic crystal necklace too and recently bought an amethyst pendulum as my 1st authentic crystal pendulum. I love them💖💖💖💖💖
When I was a kid, my uncle used one with us around. Never asked personal or spirit questions in front of me. But he did check our house for hidden valuables using a map he drew of the house. My family has deep roots of these types, my grandmother, her sister also, my dad. So its been a thing that has been on the peripheral of my thoughts. When ever i have joined someone at a party doing like card yes no questions, im always told the cards like me/ want to talk to me, etc. i have always felt i have a extra intuition. I think I may pick one up. My uncle used my dads ring and created one on the fly. Lots of stories with the family. Hidden secrets for sure.

I mentor with two ladies who once mentored with Hannah Krueger. These ladies are absolutely amazing, but that’s beside the point. A good way to test your pendulum is with your fingers. Your pointer finger always sends out negative vibrations so test your pendulum over your pointer finger for a no. Your middle finger has a different vibration and puts out positive vibrations. So you will see a swinging yes over your middle finger if you’re not sure if your pendulum needs cleansing. Hope this is helpful! 😊

Great as usual. I made my pendulum from a wierd knot from a pear tree and my wand came from the same tree. It's an old family presence in the yard where I grew up. Lots of interesting happenings with and around the tree so we know it's a benevolent spirit and my mom still makes pear butter from it so it's gotta exude great vibes.

I just got my pendulums last week, I was in complete shock because I truly believed that people were moving them themselves on purpose. I use mine every day.
I originally wanted one to try with crystal healing and one to try for contacting spirits at a mine that I go to with my dad where quite a few children and sliders and people have died and where they used to hang people. but I will not be trying that for a very long time if ever now that I know these really do work.
I ended up with a 3rd that my i and across by chance which is now my ever day one for simple questions. I really want to try them for finding lost items aswe

I loved that kit, I got it when I was a teenager 30 years ago ❤. I lost the book sadly moving house, but I still have the pendulum. I’m ok with yes no questions, but I’ve always struggle with finding things I think in the back of my mind I guess the location and bias the reading. I even had fun making dowsing rods with a wire coat hanger and a straw.

Amazing video! Any advice on my hands shake every time I hold the pendulum. I don’t have any health issues. It’s just I’m trying to stay still and I start shaking. I also don’t drink much caffeine 😂

I was able to find my boyfriend's glasses by using a pendulum. We tore up the apartment looking for it and he was getting really upset. I decided to pull out my pendulum and ask it many questions to narrow down the room. I then asked it to swing in the direction of his missing glasses. It swung to the dresser. We looked under and on top of it to no avail. I then remembered that he put his phone in one of its drawers as a makeshift nightstand since it was next to the bed. I asked if it was in one of the drawers and it said yes. After multiple hours of searching, we found the glasses in 5 minutes thanks to the pendulum. Although he's still pretty skeptical about the whole witchcraft thing 🤷
I have a clear quartz necklace I love to use as a pendulum. It's my favorite.
I use my necklaces as pendulums, one is a wolf i love it a carry it with me almost every day, other one is a heart made of obsidiana and the last one was a gift :3 and i love them, i use them a lot with my runes.
I use mine to help find lost things all the time and it always points me in the right direction!!!!

Its important when using a pendulum that its very easy to influence it. So only use it for the greater good with yourself and for all.
Its important you where no jewelry on your hand wrist bc it disrupts the flow of energy. One of the pendulums many uses is to clear your tarot cards on a regular basis, helps clear away negative energy..

My therapist(?) Psychiatrist(?) I'm not sure what his title would be, but he has kept me from commuting suicide several times in the last few years, for which I am thankful. But, I digress, he uses a pendulum in his practice and has taught me a technique that allows me to do what a pendulum does without buying/making/borrowing/etc. a pendulum. Your body leans on its own, if you say, for example, "My name is Bob." If it isn't your name then your body will naturally lean backwards, if it is, your body will lean forward. If it does not sway the right way, I think he said that means, "Your chakras are off balance," but I could misremember it. If that is the case then you need to reset your chakras, which I think is, at the very least, akin to cleansing.

I’m using a crystal that my dad gave me. It has a part that connects to a necklace but I don’t have a chain so I tied a string to it. Sometimes I wear it around my neck
Hey, witches and wizards, just clarifying something she didn’t mention: after you are done with the communication, you will need to ask questions like “Will you please leave me”, hopefully it will say yes. If it says no, use a little force and say something in the lines of “I would not like to be followed, can you please leave me?”, keep repeating it until it says yes. Another thing is if you use it for too long, you may feel like your dominant arm (for the pendulum) might out of no where, just ache. Now, you’d just need to let go and maybe wait for 5 minutes before using it again. This might be a little sad for those who are considering of using them for spells (spells with a pendulum may take up to an hour). If you got questions, feel free to comment my comment and I’ll answer asap!

A great video. I've been using a pendulum ever since I was a child. Then I would use it to just a form of relaxation and then as I've gotten older I use it to ask questions and it pretty accurate. I love using it. 🙂
