It's difficult to understand this video. It would have helped tremendously to do a side-by-side comparison along with text on the screen of what identifies the real rice and what identifies the plastic rice. I could not understand if this person was saying if the rice was real or plastic. This video was confusing. He never said "THIS RICE IS PLASTIC," or "THIS RICE IS REAL." Nothing seemed conclusive to me. It's as if the viewer is supposed to figure it out on our own. If that's so then why are we watching in the first place? Yes it is a bit frustrating.
Step 1) Debunked. Some individual grains of rice WILL float in water. It's completely normal and doesn't mean the rice is fake. Step 2) Debunked. Plastic doesn't dissolve in room temperature water. The only thing you are going to be doing here is getting more starch out of the rice grains, and make the water more cloudy which may lead someone to think the rice is actually dissolving when it's only starch. Step 3) Debunked. Rubbing rice isn't going to do much either. Your not likely to create enough heat to make the plastic malleable. Step 4) Misinformation/ Debunked. Regular rice can and will burn, although so far this is the BEST way to tell if rice is fake or not. Plastic rice will melt and burn under flame. Step 5) Misiformation/ Debunked. Normal rice can stick when cooked in oil. I've seen it tons of times in my life when cooking. If you threw plastic in hot oil it would melt and not retain the pellet shape. Second best way to tell if you have plastic pellets though. Step 6) Unknown/Unlikely. Plastic doesn't really bounce. Rubber is more likely to bounce but we're not talking about rubber are we? I'm sure there could be a type of rice that might actually have a little bounce in it, like basmatti or jasmine maybe, so it could be possible that rice could bounce a little. Dunno. At any rate plastic rice would have already melted long before you could shape it into a ball anyway, so this step is highly unlikely anyway since you would likely already know if it was fake. None of your "tests" are really conclusive and you don't show any actual samples of fake rice. All but 1 are easily debunked, and the last one I simple don't have enough info on and never heard of it being used as proof of fake rice, and yet I still can explain it away.
Adding, yes it is CONFIRMED that when cooked in the right way RICE CAN BOUNCE. Let's change step 6 to Debunked, "Bouncy rice But rumours have persisted that plastic is being sold as rice, fuelled by videos which show people bouncing rice balls. Plastic rice is actually called "nurdles". *Nurdles are small plastic pellets (look like white rice) that serve as the base raw material for the manufacturing of plastic products.* Google or Bing "nurdles" for complete info. How can you dissolve plastic rice ? No doubt it absorb some water.Cant believe isn't it ?. But it's fact. Plastic is a polymerised form of monomer. A very fine gaps remains between monomers. Water gets absorb in that gap . The process is known as percolation.

Plastic rice is actually called "nurdles". *Nurdles are small plastic pellets (look like white rice) that serve as the base raw material for the manufacturing of plastic products.* Google or Bing "nurdles" for complete info. They were never meant to be edible, and with one moment in your mouth, you'd know they are plastic! No special test is needed.
