a. The particles of air are loosely packed , so our hand can easily get through in it by the gap, whereas in wood particles are tightly packed , there is no gap in between them , so our hand can not move in the plan of wood
b. Because when incense stick is light , it is having a high temperature, so when there is high temperature kinetic energy is also high , so it is easy for particles to get in, so diffusion is faster and fragrance spreads all over room quickly

Homework answer: A) As the particles of air are freely movable and have all the characteristics of gases but are the same in a solid block of wood the particles are closely packed and are not easy to break.
Karate experts could break it as they apply more force to it and this is the reason y we could move our hands freely in the air and could not do the same in solid.
B) when an incense stick is lighted in the corner of our room its fragrance spread quickly in the entire room because when the incense stick is being heated then kinetic energy produces which helps the fragrance of incense stick mix up with the air molecules and the fragrance our room.......

A. It's because the wood is solid the particles and way to much attracted to each other so that's why it's difficult for us to break it and that'why we need a karate teacher who can put force.
B. Incense of stick us getting heated so the kinetic energy gets faster due that there is a fast diffusion between particles so that is why we can smell it from the another corner of the room.

1.We can move our hand through air because it has lot of space. But on a plan wood it has attraction in it and it is a plan of wood we need a karate expert because they had trained there self so there hand will be strong.
2. When an increase stick is lighted in the corner of a room, it's fragrance spreads quickly in the entire room because of kinetic energy by which the particals move fast and the diffusion increase.

(Smell of a particular substance is matter since it carries the particles of that substance)
Even though light is made up of photons it is not matter since photons are energy packets that travel altogether in so high speed that we see light. So it’s an energy not matter.😊

a)Air this matter may exist in the state of gaseous state,gas has very less force of attraction so it will be easy to move our hands but in the case of wood its state of matter is solid ,they have very high force of attraction so it will be tough to move your hand

Mam the ans is for 1) the intermolecular force of attraction between air particles is very low thats we can easily move our hand but in wood the intermolecular force of attraction is very high that's why we can not move our hand through it.
2) it's fragrance spread quickly into the room due the process called diffusion . In which the particle of the stick mixup with the particals of air. Thanks to teach like this way...
