In this Mission Mid-Terms series, your favourite BYJU’S teacher, Kriti Ma’am, discusses some important concepts in your class 9 Science chapter 1, Matter in Our Surroundings.
Some of the topics covered in this chapter are as follows:
- Physical Nature of Matter
- Characteristics of Particles of Matter
- States of Matter
- Evaporation
The matter is made up of small particles. The matter around us exists in three states- solid, liquid and gas. Evaporation is a surface occurrence. Particles from the surface gain enough energy to overcome the liquid's attraction forces and transition to the vapour state. Join this class to learn more about Matter in Our Surroundings.

Hello mam Aasma
❤🎉
Congratulations everyone for passing 8th class and entering in 9th class😀😊😊
Mee too
Bro WTF😂
😂
Tqqq lol
Tqq😂
Legends watching this session the day before exam😂 Thank you sooo much bujus🙌
Session starts at 8:35
Thanks
Whooo...thanks yo
Thanks😊 you saved my time
they are using much time
Thanks bro
👇 who are watching this video in 2024
@@prachikumaridas me bro
Ppl watching before exams😂
Pepar ka baad kon dekta hai 😐😐
No watching in starting of 9
after hai bhai
Characteristics of matter are
1.They attract each other .
2.They are continuously moving.
3.They have space between them .
❤
Good morning mam my name is navya dhanta . Important question🙋
Yes matter can change its shape.
Ex : Ice (solid)-water(liquid)-vapourization(gas).
Thank You Ma'am for explanation and notes it really helped!
Guys this teacher is very sweet🥰.... But, The problem is she is very lagging....
Legends are watching in summer vacations 🌅
My exam is in summer vacation 🥲
Same here
bro i have to go to school the whole summer vications for 8 hours every day because i am a 'ATL or ROBOTICS' student.
Ex for diffusion is like dissolved sugar in water and the water level do nt rise as particles have intermolecular space between thrm.
What are the different between vaporization and evaporation
2.particles of matter have spaces between them
3.particles of matter attract
4.particles of matter are constantly moving
a baloon when blown increases its vlume because the particles inside the baloon is pushing it to strech
49:14 Thank you so much for this wonderful and beyond our imagination session🌠🔮✨💎👍🏻
thanks mam for helping me with my lesson i think i will pass in the exam
😄💯
45:29 Humidity,surface area , temperature increase
Diffusion is high concentration to low concentration
No that is in biology
Mm
Ur right its a spontaneous movement of a substance from higher concentration to a lower concentration. When there is a difference in concentration of the cell co2 goes out into higher concentration to lower concentration. And o2 enters the cell where there a lower concentration.
However in chemistry diffusion means the intermixing or intermingling of two substances on their own is called diffusion. For an example
KMNO4 in a 100 ml of water its a example of diffusion.
Dettol in water is also and example of diffuson
Very helpful session 😊
Thankyou so much ma'am for such an amazing lecture
Gas is highly compressible as we can store it and if put pressure on it,we can change the shape of them!
Please start your session early

MATTER is something which has mass and occupies space
Mam what is difference between boiling point of liquid and condensing point of vapour???
Hello Ishika, Please drop your Questions in the below link: forms.gle/b4hKVWrjazYE8UUF8
I am ok with this explanation but there is more interruption to mee bcz i am watching this during my summer vacation and want to cover all the syllabus
Mam this is a very wonderful session.
Mam i don't understand how to convert temp. to celcius scale
Just add 273 to convert farenheit to celcius and minus 273 to make it celcius to farenheit
Mam is looking like my aunt 😁
Mam you are wonderful and sop up . This session is help me in exams to score 93%.
I am leaving this today at 27:14
8:33 now it starts
Im watching after exams, idk missing 9th scinece ig
Ur built diffrent my guy....
Mam what is the meaning of latent heat
The particles of matter attract each other
Byjus is better then magnet brains. Kam se Kam isme one shot to hai varna magnat brains ke to saat aat ghante ke video dekhne padte hai
Every teacher are good but magnet Brains explain better than Byjus 😅 in my opinion
Force
accepted by air is called atmospheric pressure
Matter which occupy space and mass is called matter
Tq mam it is helpful to me good exaplination and in detail tq mam
Particals of matter attract each other
30:23
37:55 boiling and gas that time only
Which occupy space and have mass and volume
Thankyou mam
can you upload any sample papers for annual exams
ANSWER OF HOME WORK QUESTION
25 ° =(25+273)K
= 298 K
Characteristics are
They are continuously moving.
They have intermolecular space.
They attract each other.
They are beyond our imagination 🌠
Tommorow i am having pre annual exam, now i am starting 1st chapter and it 12:52 pm
Thank you mam loved the session
Compliment your smile is very sweet
😊
Tq so much maam I like very much your teaching and explaining 💗😙and my name is tamachiansha I am from meghalaya
Mam you have a beautiful smile

Good evening mam
Video started 8:33😅
Mam live class ketane Baja hokg or ketne bajeha
Vaporization
Waiting for more time but now only
aren't you making videos special for this year grade 9 student i hope u would have done it because live session helps a lot to me and hope so to others as well
Yes dude I also thought the same ❤
Mam as a human body is matter ? Animal is a matter? Plants 🪴 are a matter please clear the doubt
Yes
Non matter - sound , light , emotion ( it takes a lot of space in us) 😅
Anything that has mass and occupy space known as matter
Good evening mam ji
Energy is not matter
48:44 Mam no doubts because you teach me like crystal 🔮🔮🔮✨ clear diamond 💎
THANK YOU SO MUCH MA'AM
Sir congratulations 4 lakh subscribers done ❤❤🎉🎉
38:59 gas
particles of matter have space between then
thank you for your explanation
MA'AM I HAVE DOUBT
can boiling of water take place at 95 degree or 105 degree ??????
@someonelost well it does depend on impurity, but more on the atmospheric pressure, if the atmospheric pressure is low then the water will boil faster it can actually boil at 95° if the pressure is low and if it's high it can boil at 105° as well,
Do this fun experiment,
Take a large syringe and fill ¼th of it with water then close its opening and pull the syringe Handel while closing the opening, you will observe that the water is boiling or check this experiment as video format at RUclips.
Hope this helps you understand 😊

Hello Ma'am, wonderful session...however there is one small thing-'sky' is not an element, sky is the region of the atmosphere and outer space seen from the earth. Please make sure to take this point into account
No sky is a element u can check in book
Very nice explanation mam ❤❤❤
💚💚💚 you can start mam I am very excited today
The panch tatva are air, water, fire, earth and sky
25c+273.16k=298.16k
It's liquid .....not leeequid😅😂
Anything that occupies space and have mass
Mam I'm Aasma my doubt is Tissues
1.particles of matter are very small
Mam you are so cute 🥰
Yes they can change state
Super mam
Good morning ma'am
Solid liquid and gas
Good evening mam how are you mam
Thank you maam all our doubts cleared by watching this whole session ❤
don,t care
