I have had hair of various lengths over the years, but I love a bob. Currently I have a bob with side swept bangs that I am growing out to shoulder length. I would love style tips on a longer bob!
I am all for the long one. I'll be of to the hairdresser tomorrow hoping I will look better afterwards. 😄. I am 62 and had over the bum length hair. I have already had 40cm taken of. It's now shoulderblade length, but, unless I pleat it after washing and keep the pleats in for 3 days, there is no volume. Hopefully some layers will solve the "no volume on top of the head" problem. Greetings from sunny Ireland.
I personally love healthy long hair. But some women have really cute features that a short cut really highlights. I’m glad that old rule of no long hair after 45 has been done away with.
I've had a shoulder length Bob for quite a few years. I recently had it cut a few inches shorter. I also asked for the back to be cut a little shorter after watching your videos. It looks MUCH more flattering, and I've had some nice complaints!
For me it is difficult as I have frizzy, curly and thick fine hair...the best for me,is long layered, but with small face, so always tied up...my favorite is straight layered bob
Thank you! I currently have a long, layered cut and just turned 70. I find it is not only flattering with my naturally streaked gray hair but it covers some of the sagging in my neck ( argh!). Love your channel.
That's exactly why iv been growing my hair long..lol. I'm 52 and have thick curly hair that used to be red now silver and ash. And I used to love short hair but not on me anymore. So glad I'm not the only one to feel as you. And I bet you look wonderful!.
I recently went from long hair to a pixie, and I love what you said about pixies. You put into words what I was seeing in pictures and on myself, that if pixies are cut right, they automatically give you a kind of facelift. I am almost 70 and feel I look way younger with short hair for that reason. Would love to see more videos about styling products and how to use them with pixies, especially thick, wavy hair. Thank you for your channel!
That’s awesome! I hear what you’re saying for sure, that’s one of the great things about short haircuts when they’re done right! It really does Lyft everything. I’ll definitely consider creating some videos on those topics! Thanks for the feedback.
After not having my hair cut/styled for 5 months ( you might recall my stylist of 30+ years has been out with surgery and may not be going back to work). I printed out your info sheets on how to find a good stylist....THANK YOU! The salon I selected did everything step-by-step (as per your recommendations). They asked for pictures of what I had, what I wanted, and what my at-home hair care regimen was and we were able to effectively communicate to reach the best outcome. The stylist and I settled on a soft layered, shoulder length style, similar to #2 in this video (also very similar to one of your previous videos which I showed her). I am SO happy! Thanks for giving me the tools I needed to find my "happy " hair. Oh, I do plan to continue following your channel; you always provide your followers/subscribers with great information!😁
Have long not-so-well-layered, thick, wavy (frizzy) hair. Stylists don't seem to know how to layer it to prevent a triangle. I keep refering them to you & have sent them links! Would like to see more on good layering, plz! Enjoy watching you.
I'm 49 with fine curly hair in a layered bob. Curly hair doesn't always behave and I've learned over the years to have 2 things in my hair arsenal: a stylist who is knowledgeable in cutting curly hair and my own info on myself (lifestyle, face shape, curl type). And that has made all the difference. I love your videos! Keep em coming! Would love to see various ways to style a LOB showing different hair textures (fine, curly, wavy etc
I have fine hair that is fairly thick and my favorite is the layered bob! I keep mine long enough that I can still pull it back off my neck when it's hot. What I would love to see is a video on how to do the layers properly, so that you still keep that bob line at the ends while doing enough layering that you don' t wind up with the "dreaded triangle shape". Plus if you could address where beveling in the back comes into the layering that would be great.
Yes would love that too with a variation for fine thinish hair (low density). I have a lot of wave verging on curl and want a bob that has enough layers to not turn into the dreaded triangle but not so many layers that it’s looks thinner. I have not totally understood your videos on layering Justin - I need layering for dummies I guess. Thanks!
I have thick curly hair. Most of my life it was long with layers. I just had a choppy shag/bob like cut and love it!!! I think the pixie cuts are great too.
That sounds interesting... I have 3B hair and had a regular layered cut with some balayage last week, but I might think of that shag cut. I confess I had to google what shag cut is 😃
@@adrianavargova I've always had just kind of regular long layers. So I could straighten my hair also. But it never gave my curls the lift and movement I've gotten with the shorter shag layers. It magical. Now I'm afraid I get in the "hair style rut" because I never want to change! 😆
@@terryshihtzumom The problem is, that my hairdresser doesn't want to do bigger layers on my hair... I asked her several times. She said it wouldn't look neat 🤷♀️ And it is quite difficult to find a hairdresser who knows how to treat curly hair.
I’m 57 and have very long fine thin hair all one length and I love it ! Took me many years to get but when I quit blow drying and ironing and styling ! It grew like crazy and it’s just so easy! Thanks for the info! 🥰
@@justinhickox agree on how to style. I went from long layered hair and now a very choppy shag bob like cut which I love but with curly hair, I am not really sure the best way to style when I want to part different or pull on the side back. Thank you!
Actually Justin, I’ve worn all three styles at some point in my life. I’m currently in the ‘long layered’ stage and it has been many years since my hair has been this long (half way down my back). Longer hair has been so much more versatile for me: when a hot flash hits, the hair goes up. When I get a little chilly, the hair comes down. 😁
I have the long layers and have had it for years. I’ve had variations with the length and also experimented with how short I’ve taken the layers, added bangs and grown bangs out. But longer layers is really the only thing that works and looks good with my thick wavy hair. :) sometimes I get bored but regret any big changes so now I experiment with changing my part.
I've had all 3. Right now I have long layers with natural salt and pepper. At 63 I finally let my bangs grow out and love it. Thank you for all the great information you provide!
Justin, you simply are the greatest!! You have an unerring eye for shape, line, volume, which I’ve never found in anyone but myself. I am tall, slender, with extremely dense, thick, straight hair. Over the years it has been extremely difficult to find a style that works beautifully. Thanks to you and myself, I now wear a version of style #3. Love you and your work!!
I tend to wear my hair shorter as it is fine with no natural body. I have found that many stylists when you tell them short tend to take it way too short. At that point I feel scalped and have a terrible time styling it. Would love to take it longer but then the weight pulls it down and it becomes very unflattering. Oh, I am 72 years young and feel I have been fighting my hair all my life..lol
This is exactly my issue also. I have worn my hair short for years but very few beauticians know how to cut short hair. Either too short or not cut in the right places. Such a dilemma. Would love it if someone could tell me what I need to say to my beautician. They seem to always cut it the way they want. Thanks
I’ve had my hair short for 35 years and only go to one hairdresser who was trained to cut short hair and gets it. My friends and family think I’m being too picky but what you describe is exactly why I don’t change.. I hope you’ll find your hairdresser nirvana.
I relate! I just turned 40 this year and have always worn my hair waist length. I want to change it up a bit but every time I have a stylist cut it shorter than usual, I hate it and wish I hadn’t done it. I always think that it makes me look older and I’m definitely not wanting that right now. I just need a change and I have no idea what I need to do 😔
Justin yes please do a video on how to style the long layered look. I love your channel! My hair is fine with. medium thickness. My best look is the one I walk out of a hair salon with. Please include how to apply product before blow drying. It’s so challenging to do that for myself.
I love playing with my hair. I am also currently and have been a hair model many, many years in lifespan. And evidently I have "perfect hair and oval faceshape" hair stylists love to experiment with. I find that keeping my hair "comfortable and simple" for me to take care of is what matters most as I age. The last cut I tried is a short pixie in the back, and short on the sides and long on top while I allowed my "natural color" to grow out. The next look I am going after is the long layered look.
Love the layered bob! I'm 63 with shoulder length hair & I think the layered Bob would look nice on me. I always enjoy spending time with you ❤️ 💛 Blessings!
I have thick long hair because it's curly I leave it long without layers on purpose ,then I lift the front part into a side shaped ponytail and always ready in just minutes that is the basic reason love this channel ❤️
I would love to see more specifically about how to talk to a stylist about the pixie cut. Also, maybe how it can be styled a couple of different ways. (I have super thick, heavy hair so doing it on a thick model would be even better!) :) Keep up the good work! Love your videos!
I love your wife's hair length and style. I have long hair (right at bra strap length) at 61 and can't see changing it anytime soon. It just makes me feel more feminine - but that's just me. I feel all these styles look great if you are happy and comfortable in them.
My sister has really long hair and she is 70 years old and the heavy hair makes her look like "Cousin It"! Lol I too had long dyed black hair and cut it completely off to a pixie! It really made my eyes stand out! I then did the bob and went blonde trying the Marilyn Monroe look, but now I have a short layered cut and my hair is naturally wavy. I think the problem is women are afraid of changing their hair styles like my sister but going short can be so liberating!!
Hi Justin, I love all 3! I currently have your best version of #2-with the back layered to reduce extra fullness. I recently saw #3 on someone and have been pondering it since. I’d say you got all three styles perfectly!
Please show how to cut and maintain the layered bob especially! I really love your videos. I wish you were in my area because I would definitely have you style my hair! I do my own cutting now…but the more I learn the better the outcome.
In typically wear my hair in long layers…it’s my go to when I’m tired of everything else. Now I am again going back to a layered Bob just above my shoulders as I feel the long length I currently have is just weighing me down and not doing anything for me. I feel the need to lighten up, add some volume and lift. Also getting rid of the blonde highlights, keeping the caramel and adding copper on my dark brown natural color.
Thank you for this video. 67 year old with layered long hair. It has taken me four years to grow out the dye. (Slow growing hair). Thanks to your videos I was brave enough to go with layers. Makes the hair so easy to look after. Why did I dye my hair for so long? Natural grey/white highlights and hair in great condition. Should add that I rarely use any heat on my hair.
I keep going back to a chin length bob when I don’t know what else to do. Otherwise the best look ever at my age is the short cut with layers. You nailed the look with the height above the cheekbones and the sides angled in. It is very youthful. May I also mention the look is chic and while VERY few women are brave enough to rock it, I get to look different than everyone else who is trying to keep their hair long like when they were in their 30’s. Add an unusual auburn red and, well, let’s just say I Look Good for 60 lol
Love them all but lean personally to the first, wanting more volume around the temples like the third. That view doesn't suck -- beautiful home! love our hikes, too!
Love you, Justin! I would like to get a bob cut. The thing that concerns me most about it is the movies and TV. Every time the makeup artist wants to age a woman to show her at a later time in her life, they give her a bob haircut. It works! Example: This Is Us! She looks sooooo much older with a bob! Maybe it's just how they style it, but I don't want to bother with that all the time either.
Justin, you talking about the pixie was exactly what I needed to hear. You are right I never get the volume where I need it. They cut my hair either to straight on the sides or too full. I’ve tried to show them the angle at my ears but I don’t think they cut short hair that often????? Can you talk about this and what we should be telling our beauticians? I’m not trying to tell them how to cut hair but in my opinion they should know this and do it right and more flattering than look like a man’s haircut. It’s so aggravating. Thanks
I’ve had a stacked, layered bob and I’ve had a pixie. Because I have a full, round face, I do much better with fullness in the top and crown. I also have a very wide forehead so I feel better with a bit of bang. To make matters worse (not enough already?) my hair is very fine so I have to use mousse and a light spray or the volume lasts about 4 seconds, and razor cuts make my hair more fly away-have to have a scissor cut. I’d love to see a detailed video just on short pixie cuts with at least one model who has fine hair and struggles with volume. Thanks!! By the way, your videos are far superior to all others. While I enjoy makeover videos, the detail you provide is beyond fabulous. My mother was a hairdresser for 40 years, so I was able to try lots of different products, but we were in a rut with my cut. Thank you so much for your “ways your hair ages you” series. ❤️
I’m in my 40s and have sported a long one length cut for many years because due to my health I needed vey low maintenance that I could just leave alone. I was cutting my hair once a year tops but looked like Cher circa the 70s LOL. Last year I noticed I was losing a ton of hair everywhere in the house, and I mean EVERYWHERE! I also noticed thinning in my temples and around my parting. Went for a bloodtest and found out I had major deficiencies. So I thought it was time for the chop alongside my meds. So I now sport a super short bowl cut a la Linda Evangelista in the 90s which is style up or down depending on my mood. It can look polished or edgy with just a touch of product scrunched into it. I absolutely love it and regret I didn’t chop it all off much earlier. It’s literally wash and go! The only downside is I need more frequent haircuts to keep it looking fresh. After growing your hair for many years you get sort of addicted to keeping it as long as possible, it’s so strange, even if you know it could look so much better shorter. So you end up in this weird rut...
I’ve had the long layered cut for the past 5 years. I liked it long but as I turned 64 in June, I felt my hair was thinning some on the top and the long layers were looking a little sparse. In June I had it cut into a shoulder length bob, which I think makes it look fuller. I thought I’d never cut it but I feel I’ve had to adapt to the reality of aging. Don’t particularly like having to adapt to my changing body but it is reality. To deny it is silly.
You are right about the names. I once went to a hairstylist with hair all the way down to my butt. I asked for a Farrah Fawcett haircut, and I asked her to keep it as long as possible. I left the salon with a shag that hit my shoulders. It was really beautiful, but only if I styled it just right. I will never make the mistake of just using a name again. I’d shown her a pic that day. But even that didn’t let me escape the salon without losing most of my hair . 85 % actually. Always communicate very well and learn to show them exactly what you want /don’t want .
I had a bob for years and love it, but I got tired of the incessant combat with my wave and curl. I now am wearing it short, with a little length to the side and love the ease of care. I wear the weight on the top to elongate my round/square face. In time, I'll go back to the bob, but for now, this is easy and sassy.
I have long fine hair past the middle of my back. The stylist I go to says that my hair is best suited for an all one length blunt cut. She says that layering would cause my hair to look more fine and thin. I'd like for you to do a video dedicated to the long layered haircut.
I totally hear you, I’ve actually done a couple videos that reference long layered shapes. The technique is the same if your hair is to your bra strap or down to the back of your knees. I definitely don’t agree that your hair would necessarily look thinner. It would feel thinner to the touch at the ends due to the lack of sickness from layering however it could look much Fuller if done correctly.
Tricia, I have fine hair too, but a lot of it...you cut mine the wrong way and it can look almost "damaged", sorry best way I can describe it. Layers actually "gave" me more thickness, if that makes sense. Sounds like that might be her way/excuse of not wanting to mess up your hair? Good luck your hair sounds beautiful no matter what you decide to do.
Yes, I would love to see a video on styling the short style. My hairdresser is trying to encourage me to get this style of cut due to my thinning on top.
. This video totally makes sense to me. When I had pretty much 'one length' long, curly coarse hair the hair around my scalp wasn't lofty enough and it weighed down my face creating that downward direction you spoke of and that 'triangle.' Cutting my hair just below my shoulders and layering it really brought out my eyes and face which were obscured by 'too much hair' that I used to have. . Now that my hair is layered with some hair that is 'bang level a little on the sides like the #1 example. I really do feel lighter, more content with my hair reflecting more who I am...a fluid, free, light-hearted 64 yr old with some 'swish!'' Since my hair is curly the hair that is cut shorter as 'bangs' always 'goes crazy' on me when I try to put it on my forehead (Is like a spiral noodle with a life of it's own and doesn't look good) so I just push these 'bang' length 'curtains' back away from my face....The other two pics you showed also make sense to me. I had never thought of the 'bob' needing to 'angle in' a bit and be layered in older women but that also clearly looked way batter than the one length bob for older women. Well thought out observations and beautiful styling!
I liked them all. I think it depends on the person - their face shape and the look they're trying to create - as to which one they would choose. I have a short layered bob which I tend to scrunch to get a bit of a "beachy wave" effect, but I can also blow dry it smooth if I want. I've learned such a lot from your videos, especially about getting volume in the right places, and like you always say, a small change can make a big difference. Looking forward to your next one 💇♀️
I have always had long layers. I’m 63 and many people think I am much younger. I contribute this to the layers. Thanks for your tips on how to blow dry it on other videos.
Loved the short hair style as that seems to suit me better then longer styles I always enjoy you videos they are real I also enjoy your different presentations not to mention you have a real person personality. Cheers and happy adventures to you and your wife
Please also do a top 3 over 40 for something more rocker/badass. Or a more adventurous take on these 3. I'm 48, with no desire to look mundane. These are pretty cuts, but I want a step or two more badass 😃🤟❤
I’d love to see how you would style a short bob with bangs. I feel most comfortable with chin length to shoulder length. I have a shorter neck, so my hair still isn’t all that long. Just turned 70 and want to keep my younger style. I don’t feel comfortable with hair above the jawline. Tried it 3 times and not good. Thank you! Love your channel and think your wife is beautiful. She’s adorable when she helps you.
Love all 3 styles and I’ve had the first 2. As I’ve aged my hair has gone thinner and having the long layered style is harder because my ends are already thin. I’ve opted for a blunt cut in the back with long bangs to frame the face. The bangs are past my cheeks and the back is a little past the shoulders. I would love to try the pixie but not sure if it would suit my face shape or facial features.
Hey hey Buddy! Great video, AGAIN! Gosh Dionna is just so pretty! I love the long layered look on her. Overall, on me, I like medium length layered with bangs but i am not 40 yet 😍! However, I will let you decide on my hair mistakes that are aging me! I see the van coming along... love how it's turning out. Can't wait for your journey to begin. Much love and light to both of you ❤️ (from your biggest fan from Charlotte NC ❤️)!

If you did I haven’t seen it I don’t think, can you reach out to me in a private message on Instagram so that I can exchange another email address for you maybe to ensure that I see the email.
You recently gave me suggestions on my haircut on your RUclips channel. I have Parted my hair on the side now but I did leave one side long and got the other cut short in an asymmetrical cut. My next step Is a pixie and this video just confirmed why I want to get one
I love those pixie bobs, thingy. lol. I've worn it for years. Now I'm really in the layered bob. I'll go back to the pixie bob when I'm tired of curling my layered bob.
I started out with a ‘long’ pixie cut early in 2020 which grew into an unkempt bob because I got tired of getting lopsided cuts during the times masks were required and which has now become long(ish) hair while I decide what I want to do next. I really like the option of pulling my hair into a messy bun for yoga but then because I’m a bit lazy (🤭) about styling, I usually end up having grandma bun hair the rest of the day. My hair is a really nice grey / silver colour and I had been thinking of letting get quite long but was not liking the lack of volume that was making me look a little too much like grandma Clampett. I think the ideal solution may be the long layered cut.
Justin Hickox I would love to see videos on how to style these cuts. I usually get a haircut and then do not know how to style the cut. Thanks for such an informative channel.
This is fun, love your channel! Yes, I am over 40 and currently have a layered bob with a slightly stacked back. I love it and got right before I saw your video, so nice to have the confirmation of what I chose for myself. Will absolutely subscribe!
I was literally just looking at layered bob pics to save and show my hairdresser . Im 42, have long hair which I've only had twice, I have never learnt how to style or care for my hair. I'm on a mission to learn now. My hair is actually naturally wavy but the heavy length and thickness of my hair pulls it straight-ish, and as it is the ends are dry, frizzy and bushy. I want to start caring for my hair, learning how to style it, encourage my natural waves but also be able to be versatile with it. I'm thinking it may be best to lose some unhealthy previously bleached length, for hair health and style learning ease.. Any advice on that? Is it easier to learn to style, use products, tools etc and care for shorter and healthier hair? You're awesome ❤ 👍 just found your vids, binge watching them all 👀
I like all the styles, Just cut 4" off my length so, I am probably in #2 range, but the gal at the salon was not you! I have a distinct triangle with my thick naturally curly hair. I am over 40 but live so far in the outback The "Salon" is a 16' trailer! Thanks for the videos!
Loved this. Due to your previous vids I had 3 feet of hair removed to now sport a long pixie, similar to the lady with med brown hair. I love my new style, thanks for all the tips I was able to use and share with my stylist.
Please make a video of how to talk to stylists. I'm growing out my hair because I look so much better with some length. I'm in my late 50's and when I went shorter, I looked so much older. Now I am waiting for the cut (and brassy color) to grow out. I also don't like when stylists match my hair color to my roots, it looks too harsh. I would love a video on how to talk to stylists about haircuts & color.
I’ve always hated the pixie but I can see your point. I’d still never get the pixie because I have a big wide jaw and I think it would be bad with that. I have seen women that look ok with the pixie but I always think they’d look even more ok with something else.
Somewhere in your collection of videos, is there one that deals with thick coarse hair? I love watching your videos but I always seem to hear about thin or fine hair. 🙂

I’m 57 and have very long fine thin hair all one length and I love it ! Took me many years to get but when I quit blow drying and ironing and styling ! It grew like crazy and it’s just so easy! Thanks for the info! 🥰
Would love to see how to video(s) on styling each of those cuts. I learn so much from watching your videos!
Thank you for that feedback! I’ll definitely consider making videos about those.
@@justinhickox agree on how to style. I went from long layered hair and now a very choppy shag bob like cut which I love but with curly hair, I am not really sure the best way to style when I want to part different or pull on the side back. Thank you!
Love all the styles! Wished I lived near your salon I be a new client! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! I appreciate that vote of confidence!
Me too!
Margie I think Justin would have quite a queue as I’d also love to have my hair done by him!!
Hot up, cool I can actually wear it down. If I lived in a cooler climate I'd wear a messy bun a lot less 😁
Agree! If I had a pixie my ears would freeze all winter!
Maca makes hot flashes go away❣️🤩🥳
@@delicatedamsel8734 Maca? What’s maca?
I really like the pixie. Finally someone addresses the issues of the angle in which it is cut. Thanks
That’s a great idea! Sometimes it’s not about making big changes it’s about making small changes they can have a big impact! Well done!
I have low density curly hair. Could you do videos targeting curly hair? How to manage it, care, haircuts, styling, etc? Thanks
Yea please!! For wavy and curly hair
Sound good?? Absolutely! That’s why we’re here although I’m late. Thank you for your suggestions
You’re looking wonderful Justin!!! Thank you for your videos!!
Thank you!!! I’m glad I can help!
I've had all 3. Right now I have long layers with natural salt and pepper. At 63 I finally let my bangs grow out and love it. Thank you for all the great information you provide!
Love the layered bob! Of course, your wife is so pretty she would look good in any hair style!
Your timing is perfect! I’m actually on my way to my hair stylist right now and love the long layered look!!! Thank you!!!!
Great suggestions
Awww, Justin! You are a hoot and I love your sense of humor! I trust your hair prowess..😂
So glad I found you & your videos! So helpful, TY
I’m 52 and have the layered bob! It’s very versatile which is great. I often get compliments on my hair which is also great!
THANK YOU SO MUCH.
I love your videos, they’re fun, informative and unique! You have a real talent for communicating and you obviously love making women look beautiful.
I just need a change and I have no idea what I need to do 😔
I'm loving the short hairstyles right now.
I haven’t commented for a while, but just want to tell you how much I enjoy your content.
Love them all !!! Like the pixie bob the best.
Loving my new pixie Bob cut! So easy and youthful looking.
Love the layered bob! I'm 63 with shoulder length hair & I think the layered Bob would look nice on me. I always enjoy spending time with you ❤️ 💛
Blessings!
I have thick long hair because it's curly I leave it long without layers on purpose ,then I lift the front part into a side shaped ponytail and always ready in just minutes that is the basic reason love this channel ❤️
Same here. Layers add extra volume to my wavy thick hair, and it's very difficult to manage all. So I ended up leaving them the same length.
Lovely 🙏🏽
My sister has really long hair and she is 70 years old and the heavy hair makes her look like "Cousin It"! Lol
I too had long dyed black hair and cut it completely off to a pixie! It really made my eyes stand out! I then did the bob and went blonde trying the Marilyn Monroe look, but now I have a short layered cut and my hair is naturally wavy. I think the problem is women are afraid of changing their hair styles like my sister but going short can be so liberating!!
Yes, please show how to style each of these cuts. I’m particularly interested in a very short pixie. Dawn
You are so informative. I really enjoy listening to you
How have I been on RUclips this long and not found until this evening! I love what you said in the beginning 👍🏼
I live in, and love different versions of the Pixie! It suits me, suits my lifestyle, and I love it! Thanks for the great video! 🌹
Thank you! I appreciate that. Yes the pixies definitely a very solid hairstyle!
Love your videos! I have a long shag/ wolf cut with bangs which takes a lot of weight off, & is much cooler. I like shags in all lengths 😁
Shags can definitely be awesome! I love that you found a shape that you love!
Me too!!!🙌🐺
Have worn many of the various bob styles and still do so. Classic timeless cut.
Love them all but lean personally to the first, wanting more volume around the temples like the third. That view doesn't suck -- beautiful home! love our hikes, too!
I like the pixie haircut🤩🤩. , Thank you so much for your interesting videos, best wishes margreet
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that. I’m so glad you like them.
Yep, you are right.
Long layered here. 🙋♀️
Your videos are so helpful and interesting. You’re funny too 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you so much Dawn!
I would also love to see videos on how to style each of those cuts! Your videos are wonderful!
Thanks
Just in the process of growing out my hair from super short ugh 😣 lol ! But am going to get there ! The second set is my aim ! Thanks Justin ! 🙏🙏🙏
You will get there! 👍 I am finally back to my shoulder long layers from a pixie cut after a year
I’ve had a stacked, layered bob and I’ve had a pixie.
I'm in my 40's, I have long layered hair, I've been cutting it myself for about 15 years, I'd love for you do it! 😊
Could you do a video on how to talk to a beautician about long layering hair?
Justin you're the best!! I love long layer cuts. I'm pretty sure your wife would look good in everything! You are a beautiful couple :-)
You’re way too kind! I really appreciate that. Thank you.
Love the layered bob, always my favorite!!!…much love and appreciation!…great video!!!!…say hi to Dionna from me!💜💜💜💜💜💜
Thank you so much Linda! I’ll definitely tell Dionna I said hi!
Thank you for this! I am going to show my stylist
Tricia,
I have fine hair too, but a lot of it...you cut mine the wrong way and it can look almost "damaged", sorry best way I can describe it.
I am 64 yrs old, with fine hair. I wear a bob type hair style and have had many compliments.
Hey! Thank you so much. I appreciate that of time as always! Question, did you end up sending in your submission? If you did I haven’t seen it I don’t think, can you reach out to me in a private message on Instagram so that I can exchange another email address for you maybe to ensure that I see the email.
You recently gave me suggestions on my haircut on your RUclips channel. I have Parted my hair on the side now but I did leave one side long and got the other cut short in an asymmetrical cut. My next step Is a pixie and this video just confirmed why I want to get one
Could you address thick wavy hair? Especially the layering. Thanks!! PS I'm tired of my "mushroom"/triangle.
The first one, because of my curls.
Greetings from Switzerland!
Long layered shapes are a great option for curly hair.
More in pixie styling for different hair types. Curly thick thin
Thanks for your advice and insight
I have a layered bob and I love it. Very easy to maintain and blow out. Thanks Justin 👏👍
Lovely video! Could you advise me if the two longer cuts us hairsprays or just curling iron? Thank you!!
You're awesome ❤ 👍 just found your vids, binge watching them all 👀
This was very helpful! Thank you!
Love everything you do.
Love thd pixie.. I would really like a video on just that:
Is there one of the pixies shapes that you like specifically?
@@justinhickox Yes. Long front, volume in the crown. Short and "flat") in the sides
That’s because most women get finer and thinner hair as we age. Sucks but that’s the truth
Thank you so much! I appreciate that. I haven’t done a lot of videos on course or thick hair specifically yet. I will definitely consider those for some future videos that! I appreciate the ideas.
@@PineGeri no it's not always the truth. I'm 45 and I still have extremely thick hair. there are many hairstyles that I can't do because of it. my mom is 71 and she still has thick hair. yes, the majority over 40 has thinner hair but there are some of us with very thick hair and hopefully Justin will cover that.
Just for reference I'm 59. Lucky to have so much hair!😃
@@michellep2278 lucky is right! My mom’s side was Swedish but my dad’s side was very Irish. I inherited his thin, fine hair-not my mom’s thick luxurious hair. 🙄
