I say don't buy the car, and save the money for something like a Ferrari
True, when you look at the price of £110k it is silly to buy it, with a bit of extra saving or twisting your banks back you could get a £140k Mclaren 570S!
Ferrari prices are so astronomical at the moment that it's not a good decision. Perhaps wait until a recession when the prices drop again like they did before
360 challenge stradale or how the f its named its a good choice.Its here in Greece for 60.000 euros so around 35.000 pounds

+ZenG you can't compare those prices. Here in Denmark a NORMAL 360 will set you back with £ 70.000 ish. Taxes are different in different countries.
The price point for this car is just way too high. It is a sick spec though and would be nearly identical to what I would want. The only way I'd ever consider this car is 1: The price drops below 100k (like you mentioned). Or 2: Lease it.

Depends on who you ask. I dont care how fast a car is or how insane its acceleration is. If it cant make a great sound doing so it gets kicked to the curb.

I like the retractable spoiler on the Jaguar F-Type, I don't really like the added carbon fiber spoiler on the F-Type SVR but I like the F-Type SVR besides that added spoiler.

Why not go for something different, for example the Aston Martin V12 Vantage S. Still British but more horsepower and still unique for youtube (I think). The best thing is that you can still mod it if you wanted.

I'm trading my ETG tuned F-Type R for an ETG tuned F-Type SVR. Mine is supposed to arrive on August 16th, but my dealer thinks it's going to show up earlier since they are now finally coming into the states. But before then, one last adventure with my R, MotorCity Rally.

Viking Power "British" cars? Aston Martin belongs to an investment company, which is controlled up to 25% of Qatar. Jaguar has become indian, and last but not least Rover and MG don't even exist anymore.

You should compare it to an F-Type R AWD, probably a fairer assessment of grip in corners etc then.

You have a good point regarding the price, it brings the car into competition with other brands who make serious performance cars. As you liked the performance of the SVR, am sure if you take your car to a tunning company a few hours on the dyno will make the difference and you could easily make changes to the suspension for a fraction of the cost of upgrading to the SVR.

I'm a big fan.... I love my F-type R and hope to someday have an SVR. My car is a daily driver and I think it's a perfect compromise with respect to having refinement and performance.

the turbo is the most emotionless of the porsche lineup and it definitely lacks the sound.
I wouldn't trade in my F-Type for a turbo and I say this as a Porsche fan. I would probably take a GT3

Definitely. If you've already test driven and inquired about one you should get one! just do a straight trade with your old F-Type
You should IMO. It offers the same useability as the regular F type(s) but with increased driving dynamics and performance (and even better all weather useability because of the AWD system). To me it also looks better, it's a win-win really! To me it'd look great in a really really dark green with carbon fiber/gloss black details, black wheels and kind of saddle/cognac seats with black piping :)

20hp and a wing... so not worth the extra 10-15k. Just put a smaller pulley on the blower and a tune on your own F-type. You'll make 70whp for 1k. Or call up John Hennessey, they'll build you a monster for 20k and it will be more unique than any SVR.

I think your car looks much better. The wheels, the color, the wing.. They all look better on your V8 R. And it sounds better. The only thing I really like about the SVR is the seats!
Hands down this colour is my favourite colour on any car I've ever seen. It looks so so nice. I'd buy this car just for the colour.
It's very nice. If you were buying one for the first time id say yes but since you own a normal f type r I'd say stick with what you have. If you want more performance for track then go for it but if you don't then what you have is just as good and looks great.
what you are feeling is the AWD considering your R is a rear-wheel car. its makes a significant difference. if you drove an AWD R, you wouldnt notice that much of a difference. AWD also makes the car faster

Keep your car, save your money (I don't know how you get your money) and buy a real nice car like 911 turbo or huracan or the R8 even if they are an used models. I think it worth it.

Jaguar is gonna make that track focused F-Type as a limited run with all the gadgets that sam talks about and more, just as they did with the XKR-S GT.
Should get the new Alfa Romeo Giulia QV, it is interesting and people want to know about it. The rest of the cars out there are already covered for by other car RUclipsrs or maybe the new TTRS but then again that probably isn't as exciting as the Jag
The steering feeling better over the F Type R doesn't make sense to me. This is all that comes with the SVR according to the brochure:

Nevermind I just found the bit about the Suspension Knuckle, not the thicker ARB though:
