    My favorite car reviewer,calm no hype,not trying to find little stupid stuff to rant about, honest about what he doesn't like, with out being mean. Gives you a chance to really get a idea of what it is to own,and drive the car. Plus he knows the spec of the cars he's reviewing. Plus he's and elegant person hand movements etc,speaks well. Just pleasant to watch. Enjoyed this Jaguar episode,the older cars and electric car too. Nice work as usual.

    Great review Thomas. Love the feature format with the classic Jags. And what a fab car the SVR is! The sound of those exhausts could get addictive and I'd love to experience the acceleration that that engine produces - it made me laugh when Thomas blasted off from a stopped engine and he was grinning like a kid in a sweetshop but virtually speechless. Excellent!

      You won't be disappointed; I've had 3 F-Types, all classic shape coupes because it's simply beautiful. First I bought a two year old base version in 2018 when I was 28, then sold it in order to upgrade to a 400 Sport which I absolutely loved but finally a 2020 R beckoned to me - the piece de resistance; sold the R in March this year for a £6k profit after adding 11000 fun-filled & adrenalin-fuelled miles & replaced it with an iPace which has proved to be a massive PITA with the constant range anxiety & on the road charge delays as I often drive hundreds of miles per day. I've just sold it & currently looking for a SVR in the right spec for me. I test drove one with a carbon roof but knowing the model very well, I consider the pano roof an absolute necessity.
      ...I've bought a 2019 Fiat Tipo as a run-around until I find the right car. Now nothing against the Tipo but let's hope that's sooner rather than later!

    • @ChrisFEJackson
      @ChrisFEJackson 2 года назад

      @@philiphudgens4726 Great notes there thanks. I initially was looking for the 400 as I really liked the interior spec. but the all black carbon R was a must. It's hard not to drive it! Good luck on the SVR hunting, I bought an RS Renault Twingo to run around in, I love the car so much I kept it. What I get out of driving it I can't get from the Jag & vice-versa :) Cheers!

    Looks like you had a great time, of all the cars I have seen reviews of so far in 2016, this is my favorite - the look and THAT sound.
    Worked also well with the classic Jags and the history.

    I'm so glad jaguar isn't a fancy ford anymore. I love love love the cars they've released since becoming independent again. Really going back to their roots. I also totally agree by the way, Thomas. The blue is such a nice color! I genuinely enjoy your videos. Danke for providing such great content.

I am finding the second time just as exciting and in some cases very surprising as I see things I missed. Great review and coverage of Jaguar Racing Heritage.

    +1. .. Three cheers to Mr. Norman Dewis! .. Great interview catch. .. Much respect for 50's 60's generation Jaguar test driver Mr. N. Dewis. .. As for the neu coupe, the exteriors bright blue color type is best known as "arrest Me blue" ... not unlike Arrest Me Red. .. Hat's off to the Autogefuehl !! .. As for the special segment its a score of 9.8. .. The Jaguar F Type and the Audi A5 series are two cars which present exquisite design lines. The very best automotive designs of the decade. ...... Very good review and format as always. Great images of the XJ13, the Long Nose D, and I liked the unrestored XK120 Roadster - you're looking at its history! Very good interview with Norman. Excellent detailed review of the F-Type SVR - and you had some very good camera angle images through the windscreen looking forward; and of the beautiful Eifel region too - well done. Jags have always made a lovely noise, from a D, an E, and now to an F. Great. People talk of a Small-Block, a Ferrari of course, even a 1982 alloy 5-litre M117 with straight-thru pipes - but a 1957 D-Type, you can't beat it for a fantastic sound (only my opinion obviously!). Many thanks Thomas.

    The F-type is one of the most beautiful cars in my view. I love the shape, especially this coupe. The sound is amazing, although it borders on being offensive! :-)
    I guess the only downside to this car would be that the sound, as wonderful as it is, probably gets annoying on a long highway trip. And it seems you can only choose between 'loud' and 'louder'! Still, I guess I would be able to deal with that problem if I was lucky enough to drive this car..

    • @autogefuehl
      @autogefuehl  8 лет назад

    • @bodrulm1

      I agree ProjectGenesis. Of all the Top Tier Automotive Companies, BMW have the most woeful V8 (and straight 6 cylinder) soundtracks.
      My advise, if you are looking for a great sounding "New" mid to upper end V8 car, go grab yourself a Jaguar (V8) of any model Now!
      As the show is almost over, and one of the worlds greatest sounding V8's is about to go extinct.

    Thanks a lot, great review! What would be the better choice in your opinion - Jaguar F-type or Porsche Cayman 718? Not S, R etc... just basic versions with automatic transmition and some standard trim? Jag is a little bit more expensive, but still difference in price is not that big... and for me the most important is the fun from everyday driving.

    My only disagreement is that I dislike the rear wing... The Car has an extremely muscular yet classy look and the wing throws that off

      I disagree with you on the rear wing. The rear of the F-Type SVR (unlike many supercars on the market with high mounted wings), don't take away anything from the design of the car, in my opinion. And the reviewer seem to share the same opinion as I, with regards to that.
      The only car bearing a high mounted spoiler that I liked, was the Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R, which Ford built years ago.

      No as there are more steps in between, V6, V6S, V8R, SVR basically

    Quite a nice car that can be much better appreciated up close and personal. Although I'd still take the AMG GTS; a little more mature and sexier in looks, as well as smoother sounding but still relatively angry.

    Bit confused about your information regarding why the XJ13 never raced at Le Mans. I heard you say that Ford had just release the GT40 and decided to leave the XJ13 behind...from this I would infer that you are saying Ford owned Jaguar. I believe Jaguar was owned by BMC at the time and didn't purchase Jaguar until 1989.

    • @autogefuehl
      @autogefuehl  8 лет назад

      yes indeed. But obviously it was the case that they all sensed Ford domination plus didnt have teh funds
