I have no idea why it worked so well with that blue, but I really like the look of that combination. Great review and when I need to get some more Alclad Chrome, I'll be getting the A-Stand, because I do like that bottle better. Good WW2 story too! My grandfather served and helped liberate a couple of the concentration camps in Germany. Unfortunately he passed earlier this year, but I did get to hear some of his stories of his service and I have a lot of respect for anybody that served.

Another great review and very interesting result on the Chrome comparison. As someone who has seen different bottles of Alclad Chrome sprayed side by side with very different results I can only guess the issue is either poor quality control or that the paint is sensitive to conditions like temperature while shipping and some batches are easily degraded.

My wife doesn't understand why I watch, as she puts it, "some guy paint spoons." lol, I've had to explain to her that the spoons are the same material as the models we build so it's a good way to see how the paint will react we well as look when applied. It's a great idea and I've adopted it in my shop as well. 👍😁

Over 400 of those Lancasters were built in Malton, Ontario, now the site of Pearson International Airport. The are only two airworthy Lanc's left. One here at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum and one in the UK. Our's (VeRA) flew to England a couple of years back to recreate the run the "Dambusters" made through Germany in 1943 with the RAF Coningsby Lanc.
Nothing sweeter sounding than 4 Packard 'Merlins' passing overhead.

Barnes Wallace’s cylindrical bomb actually rotated against the forward “skipping” path of the weapon to help insure that the bomb remained physically against the face of the dam to help insure the explosive effect upon the dam after the weapon descended/sank to a predetermined depth.
Most important gun turret position for night bombing R.A.F. Bombers was the rear turret as Luftwaffe night fighters attracted from the rear/catch-up pursuit guided by their onboard radar.
(P.S. Thank’s for the earlier hematite bead type “mixing ball” type suggestion.)
