    Thank you for your excellent videos, Charles. You mentioned the best time to translate and up pot citrus is the window in between the last chance of frost and start of Spring... Would you recommend waiting to do this or is up potting now (mid-Nov) ok? Also, should I prune off the 15-20 baby meyer lemons on the 3 gallon container when up potting? I live in SoCal in grow zone 10a/b

      Thanks for the compliment Mark! 🤩 I got your email this am, but will reply here: YES, definitely remove the fruit from a tree that your transplanting to reduce the added stress. Although we do successes the best time to transplant being that window between the last chance of frost, and the start of the growing/ budding season; I personally, would up-pot just about any season of the year, and use all the safeguards learned to minimize the stress of that month/ season. Additionally, in our grow zone, and in ideal indoor growing condition, citrus will gain a significant amount of growth over the winter that could potentially flower & support fruits by spring! So, I’d say to go for it!

    Good day....So I should bring in my two small key lime trees indoors in the winter?

    • @IVOrganic
      @IVOrganic  3 года назад +1

      Hello Tina, ONLY if you live in a grow zone that is too cold to grow citrus outdoors. So long as your nighttime lows are above freezing, and your plants are getting sufficient sunlight, your plants will grow better outdoors.

      Yes, limes are very sensitive to the cold. So my cue is 40 degrees

    Question...thought DE is not affective once wet?

    • @IVOrganic
      @IVOrganic  3 года назад +1

      DE is sourced from parts of our country where these deposits have existed under wet & dry conditions over millions of years. I agree with you that the product is most effective when it is dry; so that as boring, chewing & sucking insect effect the plant, the DE dust accumulated on the pest shortening its life. I hope this helps? Great question!!! 🤩

    Why are my lemons hard and not turning yellow?

    • @IVOrganic
      @IVOrganic  3 года назад +4

      Hello Robert,
      The lemons will turn yellow & soft as they ripen. Be patient as the ripening period may be sooner or later. Also, the tree will bare better quality & more consistent as the tree gets established! Keep us posted on your lemon growing successes!
