Here’s a tip. When I take out my dryer filter, I use a prevuious used dryer sheet from the load before and wipe off the filter with the previous dryer sheet. Everything comes off clean and fast!

I use Bar Keepers Friend on all of my stainless steel. Just make a paste on a microfiber cloth, let it sit on the item for 2 minutes and wipe off with a wet cloth. Then use a dry cloth to shine it up. Looks brand new and removes all water spots and rust. You can even clean the oven with it (just do a test spot first to make sure it doesn't hurt it). The screen over your stove can also be cleaned with Bar Keepers Friend. Removes grease.

As someone who works in a gallery, absolutely do not use a bagel to clean a painting. The oils and such in the food will damage the painting. To properly clean a painting, a sponge works just fine. If the paint is completely dry, the sponge can be a little damp.

It depends on the medium, but yes, we have sponges, q-tips, cotton pads/balls, fine tipped brushes etc. Sometimes we use water, sometimes we use other chemicals. I'm not the one that does it personally, but I like to watch the process.

How about going to a store, spending a buck and getting a soft paint brush? And then keeping up with your cleaning so your artwork isn’t that grimy? I’m a professional cleaner and if I pulled out a bagel to clean with, I’d be unemployed.

Bleach negatively impacts our respiratory system and I've seen way too many women unknowingly harm themselves from long-term use of bleach. (I educate people on other safe alternatives!) To make the bathroom and bedroom smell really nice, buy a couple of bars of milled soap in your favorite scent. I found some at 3/$5.00 at a dollar store. Put one in your medicine cabinet or on a pretty soap dish on top of the commode. I put one in my lingerie drawer on a square of waxed paper and the smell permeates the whole room. So nice to walk into.

I use a pair of spa gloves over a pair of latex gloves to clean mini-blinds without taking them down. Spa gloves are those funny looking scrubby shower gloves to use in the bath. If you don't have big hands the ones from Dollar Tree work great. Take a plastic garbage bag or tarp and put on the floor directly under the window sill to catch the mess. usually put an old bath tower over the tarp to absorb the water You can mix equal parts of water, lemon juice and water in a plastic bowl. If you put it in a spray bottle it is a little messier, but it will work. The latex gloves are not absolutely necessary because none of this will hurt your skin. Put on the spa gloves, dip in the solution and use your thumb and index finger to do top and bottom all at once Go gently from side to side. Use your other hand to support the back of the blinds so they don't bend to much. The scrubbee material of the spa gloves combined with the solution will cut right through all the gummy dust and build up. This is a much faster and more effective method and you can use a spray bottle and a light spritz of water to remove any remaining solution. You will have gotten some water or vinegar lemon solution on the windows behind the blinds, but a paper towel or some wadded up newspaper will shine them quickly. Extra tip: once the blinds are dry, wipe them with a dryer sheet which repels dust. Enjoy

I use vinegar to clean my dish sponge once a week, and I throw them out if they get too bad, white vinegar is also great to get the funky smell out from washing machines, just chuck a slug of it in the draw and wash on a 60degree wash. Bicarb and lemon in your kettle boiled with water gets limescale out etc.
Don't put your vacumn filter in a dishwasher, the allergens remain and its just gross, just bloody wash the filter in the sink with a bit of dish soap after getting all the crap off and clean the sink with vinegar after.
Bleach is dodgy and should only be used very sparingly, I only use it occasionally down the plug holes.

There are screws at the top and bottom on the inside of the door but they are not standard screws. You can get a tool that opens them at Lowe's. I didn't know what I needed, but I took a photo of the "screw" into the store with me. The person who was in the hand tool department gave me what I needed. I use Eucalyptus Oil, its seems to work for me. You can also rub the oil a cloth and then on areas that dont stain with it. Or you can just use an oil soaked cloth/paper or a container with fragrant oil in it and leave the lid off for a while in a room and move it around the house.

All you have to do is remove the screws on the inside of the door but be careful the glass in the front will fall out so support it with your knee and on the inside is two more Pains of glass. On the inside of the oven door there's also more screws that needs to be taken out to remove the two other panes of glass inside the door but when you put the glass all back together make sure that the insulation is tucked in and is not sticking out of the trim. It's actually pretty easy

Better tip - use thin cotton washcloths or towels rather than sponges to wash dishes. The amount of food particles that can accumulate in a sponge's many nooks & crannies is amazing. And very difficult to remove once they're in there. But thin cotton rags can easily be rinsed of food particles & washed after each use. I use the same soap I use for dishwashing to clean my dishrag afterward - Dr Bronner's. You only need a drop or two on a rag to clean quite a few items & it's completely planet-friendly. When finished, I put a small drop on the rag, rub & squish it for a minute or so, then rinse well with the hottest water I can stand. Better still, dishrags are very inexpensive & can be tossed in the weekly laundry WITHOUT adding any bulk to your load at all. So USE A FRESH RAG EVERY DAY, or every time you wash dishes. Cuts down dramatically on any bacterial worries - and no nasty sponges to tend.

    1) you don’t need to wash your filters in the dishwasher- just take and air compressor to it (outside)
    2) Instead, stick your microwave filters in the dishwasher. They’ll come clean without having to boil half of it and then handling it to turn it in the pot 🤦‍♀️
    3) no need to bleach your machine if you leave it open between loads. Your machine does get your clothes clean, and it flushes the dirt from those clothes down the drain, so an additional cleaning cycle is almost a waste of time, bleach, and water. Reserve it for really bad loads of shop clothes, grease cleanups, and muddy kids clothes.

    • @KK7THK

Also, that window track won’t be “clean” after the q-tip. The ridged piece you are cleaning around is removable. You’ll need to remove the movable piece of your window, then you can pop the track piece out. Be ready for the blackest sludge you’ve ever seen, but once clean, you’ll be looking at a “new” window again once you know how to clean it.
