  • Here we take a look at Redcar Central station on a normal day. Including 142050, 142094 and 142095, as well as Redcar Central signal box and level crossing.

    Love seeing quirky little level crossings like this one, when I was a child I remember the Minford level crossing on the Ffestiniogg railway.

    @DoctorTankEngine It carries on for about another 5 miles to Saltburn, after that its freight only to Boulby potash mine

    @50a Works - the line to Whitby starts at Middlesbrough - it's a branch line - more or less in the same direction - but it branches off - the Esk Valley line goes as far as Battersby, then it goes backwards - or forwards, depending on which way you are facing!

    The alarm here is higher pitched than Redcar Church Lane, just to the east of here.

    Redcar line goes from saltburn to bishop Auckland via Redcar middlesbrough and Darlington
