The Skil router is definitely flying under the radar. My only complaint is that it runs HOT- just a few minutes in the router table and I can’t even touch it 😬
@@johnnygsdiy1981 I only noticed when I went to switch out bits during a project- I’ve never had a router get that hot, but I’m super happy with the performance
THANK YOU for dropping the audio out when you turned the tool on. These days, common sense isn't that common.
I try my best. I hate when you have to keep regulating the volume too! Thanks for watching!

I’ll have to check mine. I just flatten 2 white oak slabs but I didn’t notice it. I agree it’s a great router for the price.

Did your router table come with that Fence or is it after market or diy?
Yes, That’s a 30 year old table. It came with it but I’m looking to make a router table on my table saw.
Plexiglass table top to see display controls
Good idea. Thanks for the tip
what is the brand of bits you used?
Amazon… CNC Spoilboard Surfacing Router Bit 1/2" Shank, Slab Flattening Router Bit Carbide Planer Router Bits Wood Milling Cutter Planing Tool Woodworking Tools by BINSTAK
They are not the best quality but I didn’t want to spend a lot on the first attempt to flatten a slab.
