Well.. if you land all six in one spot it will pop. Unfortunately, in video we encountered the self repair bug so when we came back that Idris was at full health again.
It depends on the torp. The ones he was using were the Argos IX s9 crossection torpedos, which do 395,620 damage. Argos IX - Crossection, 395,620 damage, base torp for eclipse and retaliator. Typhoon IX - Infrared, 407,677 damage, fastest s9 torp in game currently. Seeker IX - Electromagnetic, 425,677 damage, highest damage torp in the game. I highly reccommend replacing the Argos with either the Typhoon or seekers, the typhoons are faster but the seekers do the most damage. Argos are the base torps, but still pack a punch. The seekers can wipe the idris out with a full payload, but it might have gotten patched a bit since i last did that.
@@gloomeglo224 With the stock missiles, you can kill the Idris with all six if you fire four then two. After posting, I did notice the Idris repaired to 100% after I went to go get more torps. So the second go was six torps to take it down.
@@arsenicarsenal2484 IN 3.17.2 I've killed the Idris with an opening salvo of 4, though other times its been up to 12, reckon its because the torpedoes all hit the same section, as you can see from my video. ruclips.net/video/bv8OvM2P_7s/видео.html
Fyi the Idris does not have it's full capabilities modelled yet and has smaller shields and most importantly no armor. When armor is implemented this thing will be an absolute tank of a ship and take a lot more than 12 s9 torps to take down.
Is this a good ship for a solo to just do ERT's and VHRT's? I magine its as simple as rolling up popping off one missle and killing the target for some.
Yea, it’s good for doing group ert’s, pops em. I’m assuming. I don’t have the ship yet, but that’s what I’m using the eclipse for and I’m about to get my retaliator when I get home tonight. 6 s9 torps is better than 3 lol
It really depends on the enemy and your approach; I mean, eclipse full speed is amost 100% hit rate, bomber is difficult because it's a really heavy ship and the torps can miss, for both of course it's just eclipse can get closer because it can avoid the enemy easier and I recommend shooting at 1,5k-2k, it takes a little to shoot the torps and consider your speed: high speed + time to launch the torp + too close = miss or the torp can't turn enough. So take this into consideration 👌

ami the only one that thinks the retaliator sucks at flying? it has very weak thrusters for yawing and rolling, and it flying like a brick, the connie flies better than the retaliator imho
It’s crazy it only takes one torpedo to kill a hammerhead but 12 to kill an idris

man the retaliator is something you would add 'her majesty' to
Good kill! Game seems to be getting a lot smoother
Hey mate any tips on restocking the torps because I’m struggling to restock my tali with torps they just don’t restock.

wow 12 torps to kill an idris is alottt
Yeah, sometimes they don't all hit in the same spot. Which is what it takes to kill an Idris
lemme know when you wanna insta pop one, it's pretty funny
how much did you get paid for that mission?
I made 225,000aUEC but took two loads of torps. (-40k=185k)
Thing is alot easier when on a planet.
Yeah it is, until their AI has more work to fly better in atmosphere.

It is a little slower on pitch and yaw but I think that's a balance decision with missile lock and it's payload.
