Quanchkin lake use to be my go to lake back in 2018 before my laptop broke i remember ripping alligator gar and flatheads out of the water one after another
at emerald lake you can catch walleye and they pay pretty much 101 per pound and they usually are around 3 pound every time and can go up to like 5-5.5 pound when trophy!

The first catfish spot u can cast at the trees to ur right and cast right up against them and I caught a huge unique channel cat and a huge trophy blue cat and a few big trophy flathead and a unique flathead that weighed like 83 pounds

Oh I was also using 5/0 and 6/0 hooks with large cutbait and large minnows and crawfish and shiners good luck

For some reason in my noggin, “Smallmouth” and “largemouth” sound fine, but “War-mowth” just doesn’t work, so I pronounce it “warmuth” like “Plymouth”

My biggest gar is 96lbs it put me on the leader bored in 61st place, my first time on a leader bored, I've been playing FP since before night time fishing came along.
If u want to catch gar there u would need a match road and and the leader to 5 inches with craw fish and that’s what I do
Awesome! We were doing like 36” of leader on a float rod last night and caught an 88 pounder!

There was a baitcasting pole that was just floating
the three bars on the right haft to be even so it is easier to pull ing u need and even line rod and reel

Yep- that’s always ideal, but sometimes you just need to work with what you have in your inventory. (Which is usually the case with me) I’ll use a 52lb reel with a 44 lb rod if that’s all I have available
