Very few sturgeon at saint croix, some spawn sack with 4/0 hook should work at that spot though. If you really want to catch sturgeon go to San Joaquin Delta. Spawn at Fishing the Beaver. Then throw towards the wall with large cut or spawn sack. Be sure to use a 4/0 hook. P.S. If your rod havn’t caught anything in a while, get them in and throw them out again, it resets fish spawns
Yeah- we tried spawn sacks in a stream for a bit and couldn't get bites on those either! We were only interested in catching that specific sturgeon- we'll go elsewhere later on. ;)
