I grew up there and recently returned to visit after being on the other side of the country for 15 years... there’s a powerful energy about that place that cannot be described with words, I had forgotten it over time. It resurfaced when I was driving through the redwoods to the Mendocino coast and felt so familiar that it brought me to tears that I could not control. I actually had to pull over on the side of the road. I’ll return again for good someday. :)

I can vividly remember driving down one of the main streets in my small town, early evening, the trees and lawns were green, the sky was pink and purple as the sun was starting to set. I was 20 and didn't have a care in the world it seems. I had this song on my radio with the windows down, I hope I keep that memory forever. Such simpler times for sure. Now I'm 38, got busted up on a jobsite at 28 and I'm in constant pain, medical issues have popped up. But listening to this for the first time in maybe a decade, it brings a small tear to my eye for wanting the old days back.
