- Join us on our recent trip through Eastern Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario. In this video you'll see what a beautiful landscape this is. Thick, overgrown forests and rough and rugged rocky terrain. We call this the Canadian Shield.
On this trip we did a three day, two night excursion on a small secluded lake. This place is a peaceful, relaxing and full of adventure. Much of it that's yet to be discovered.
Fish caught: Lake Trout, Small Mouth Bass and Northern Pike.
Manitoba, NW Ontario
Music by RUclips Audio Studio.
First song:
"Gamela - E's Jammy Jams"
Second song:
"Spirit of Fire - Jesse Gallagher"
Third song:
"Heads up - The 126ers"
Would be awesome if you could share the trail/route information! I would love to go here with a few buddies!
Now thats camping! Hardcore and well done.
Hey thanks for the comment! It's a pretty intense ride in and out that keeps the adrenaline going the whole way.
We've been waiting for our back country travel to open up again so we can do this trip again. No such luck with July and August so far. Fingers crossed for September!
@@ElevationATV we're finally opened up and gettin out soon!
@@outdooradventurechannel425 Lucky! We've been shut down way too long... we were hoping to get out for this trip already but no such luck. It's nice having the video to relive it though, haha.
Beautiful fish, excellent camping spot, great that you have access to boats from like minded adventurers. Keep that spot to yourself or chances are there will be no boats and no fish.....
Oh we do! It's not an easy ride into this lake so I'm sure it deters many from even attempting it but its a hidden gem for sure.
We'll be heading out there again soon, I hope. Just have to wait for fishing season to open up... ice will be off the lakes by then (if not already).
Thanks for the comments, appreciate it.
Epic journey! Awesome video!
Now THESE are what you call good quad trails! Nothing like those beautiful freeways they have in the Maritimes - lol
Looked like an insane amount of big horse flies! Been there, done that here in N.Sask too - lol.
7:05 - Mmmmmmm CHICKEN BREASTS!!!!!
Some awesome pics at 23:24!
24:17 - Looked delishious!
24:56 - a true Canadian drink! Although, I'm not sure why you're not drinking the good Manitoba Crown!
That was a BEAUTY camp spot! We use to do a lot of multi-day canoe portaging trips and I could have stayed at those little camps on the lakes for weeks!
Timmer does this kind of camping with his brother-in-law, Goldie. Both of them are older than me, but my body doesn't like sleeping on the ground anymore - lol. The three of us did some scouting this summer for little fishing lakes with camping spots. Found a few good ones. Not sure when I'll get the video out though. I'm a "little" . . . OK, I'm a LOT behind! HAHAHAHA!!!
You need an external mic so we can here your conversations. Other than that, Really good stuff! Thanx for taking us along!
Thanks for the comment Q. I like most ryes, even Crown but I prefer Forty Creek. We found this trip a little long, one night would be suitable enough lol. Even my 37 year young body isn't up for air mattresses much lol. Enjoy a good groomed trail for shaking the itch or going out with my wife for a ride... but the rugged stuff is what gets the blood pumping. I do have an external mic... just have to use it! Lol. Need to doctor my camera housing to plug it in.
What a great camping adventure you guys did here, and what a great trout you caugh.
Thank you!
It's one of my favorite places to be... the adventure getting into this place is pretty exciting, keeps the blood pumping haha. Our next trip out I'd like to get more video of the fishing and camping aspect of it... and then make it into two or three videos instead of one long one.
Thanks for watching and the comment!
Hey @@ElevationATV I'm pretty sure we passed you and your family on the trail last Saturday! Hope the fresh 570 does good for you guys! I loved mine while i had one! Very reliable machines.
@stevenelias4544 Oh really, Seddons? We past a lot of dirt bikes and a couple of side-by-sides. I'll be editing that video to share one of these days.
Yes, nearby.
It was perfect weather for the ride. Hopefully this Monday will be another ride day if i can make it out! I wish the Eastman trail was closer to home!
@stevenelias4544 Sure was a nice day! Not too many of those left that the wife and daughter will want to go.
I'm not sure what we're doing this weekend, but my buddy is riding out that way Sunday and Monday, so it is awfully tempting.
Great adventure bro 👌
@@northernsurvivalbackcountr4986 Thanks! We love it there.
Awesome video one of the best videos. I seen a long time with ATVs and I watch a lot of different RUclips channels. Keep up the good work. I got a new channel to watch now. Stay safe. God bless Thomas.
Hey Thomas! Thanks for the really nice compliment! I really appreciate that. We did this trip again last year with four of us. Always a blast! That video is up, be sure to check it out. It was two part!
Anyway, thanks again. I appreciate it.
Very good, fun trip.
looked like an awesome adventure!
Was a great trip!
Cool trail into your camp spot . Glad you comment on Q channel i get discover new atv channels love it cheers .
Thanks for checking in!
those are the trails I would love to go on!!!! great vid, will watch PT 2 tonight...
Part II? I just made this video one long one. Haven't been on this trail since (unfortunately). Next year!!
The camera shots were awesome I like the way you picked up on the surrounding beauty nice trip. Well worth it’s technical trail. I was amazed that you had mirrors and that they were still in place. By the way giving this a thumbs down shows a sign of stupidity. Thank you for the video. Tell your friend I liked his choice in helmets if for nothing else the emblem from what I could see . 👍
Hey, thanks for the comment and watching. I don't pay alot of attention to the thumbs up and thumbs down. Many don't realize how much work goes into these videos from the recording to the editing... its very time consuming itself... But hey, can't please everyone I suppose.
Yeah, there are some tight spots on the trail but thankfully the mirrors made it out. The views are fantastic and the trip in is certainty worth the effort.
That's my father in law and I gave him that sticker for his helmet, lol. Good eyes for noticing what it says.
Where is this at? I want to bring my side by side and do this trip.
Wow! The bugs were killing you when going through the trail that looked like part of a creek or bog!
They were thick for sure but not really biting if you kept moving lol!!
Your stills were amazing great vid , I would have liked action of the fish being caught . I don’t know how you survived the bugs at the beginning hahaha
Yeah, I kick myself for not recording the fishing parts... so I'll be working on that for the next trip out. Thanks for the comments.
WOW!
Excellent trip man. The trout you cooked up in the foil pack looked very good. Super awesome camping spot.
Hey thanks, yeah it was not bad for my first time eating a lake trout. Was better than I was expecting haha. The camp spot is gold, it's a peaceful place for sure. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for taking us along , Love the ride and the fishing .
I have the same bike only mine is a 2019, How do you like it ?
Seems to anything I ask of it , from snow plowing or pulling my 1000# ice hut , or a trailer load of fire wood at my camp.
Anyways great channel , Im subscribing.
It's been a pretty good quad for me. More than enough power for me. Mines a 2018 but bought it brand new in 2019. Even better now with the HD springs...
I'm glad you enjoyed the video, we weren't able to do this trip last year because of the back country travel bans. We're planning to go this spring/summer depending on water levels. It'll be interesting to see how the landscape has changed with the beavers having full control.
Good to see you back out! That looked like an awesome trip.
I've only been out a couple times on the rzr this yr, but hopefully get out soon since the cooler temps will be perfect for riding.
Hey Steve, thanks for the comment. Been out a few times this year... not as much as last year though. Didn't go on any solo rides this year, maybe in the fall I'll go a few more times. I have another video from the 100km ride I did with the Eastman ATV group in June that I have to edit yet. It might be a winter project haha.
Nice..100km is a solid ride. Looking forward to the next video!
keep safe out there.
Hey Steve, you going on the members ride tomorrow? You can message me on Messenger @ Rich Castle.
Hey buddy great video, those are the trails I like to find. Not much of a fisherman but dammm them are nice trout 🙌🏻. You fellas had a pretty good load on them 570s . As far as the F bomb, I don’t mind one bit, I dropped them a lot and it makes the video more personal haha.
Its a natural response haha, we're not scripted.
GhostSportsmanATV makes it better that way lol
I tried to crop out as little as I could... within reason. Could've made an hour long video but much of it is trail riding the same terrain. Kept the good stuff.
Now THESE are what you call AWESOME quad trails! Nothing like those beautiful freeways they have in the Maritimes - lol
Quaddingsous lol freeway trails are good as well! For the old folks . We need to get out for a ride !
When travelling in those conditions perhaps an argo with tracks would have been better
Fresh out of those lol! Thanks for the watch and comment.
@@ElevationATV LOL, I have what you have. I could never justify an Argo for my kind of riding. By the way, my original comment was made in Jest. Thanks for not getting mad.
@silverback802 Oh I know haha, all good. I've got no experience with Argos, but yeah some of the spots on this ride might be a little too tight for an Argo. There's a recent video of this trip that I posted recently, two parts (QFC 2022).
Thanks again! Cheers.
Really should edit out some of the drive time, almost the whole video just getting to the spot
That's your opinion, it's more than half of the adventure though. Thanks for watching.
@@ElevationATV agree to disagree the thumbnail says quad fish camp trip im wondering where the camp and fish part is at. Thumbnail is kinda misleading not trying to be disrespectful but thats what i clicked on for. The whole thumbnail experience
@@pisathongsonlone3935 I'm sorry you feel that way. It's alot of work recording, editing and putting it all together to share with people. I mainly do these videos for my friends and family who do appreciate it. You're more than welcome to give me video a thumbs down though. 👎😉
@@ElevationATV i gave you a thumbs up for ur hard work and editing, cuz the fact that i no how much work that goes into a vlog
@@pisathongsonlone3935 Too much, one of the reasons I don't put out many videos. It's time I don't really have.
This video alone I had so many issues with. Spent money to fix corrupted video clips, buy new software etc. I redid this video three times until I finally got it working. There was well over 4 hours of video that I had to compress. The videos long, yes but I wanted to make sure I included enough of the adventure going in and out of the campsite. I would have loved to have more video at the campsite but I just didn't get there.
The next ones will probably be two-part videos so I don't feel like I have to cram everything into one long video.
Thanks for the comments!
Lotta ducking bugs
Yup! They were bad.
Hey great video, remind me a lot of some area where I live in Quebec.
What kind of camera are you using ?
Hey thanks, its a beautiful area for a ride. On this video/ trip I was using an Akaso V50 Pro SE. We just redid this trip last year and have a newer video on my channel and I'm using a GoPro Hero 9 Black now.
@@ElevationATV Thank you for the fast answer, just discover your channel so I will go check your others videos :)
@MetalHead84 Right on, thanks. I have a hard time watching some of the older videos, little too shaky haha. The GoPro has nicer stabilization.
If you get stuck those bugs could air lift you out …
No kidding, hey? Sometimes, they are relentless! Haha.
Where abouts is this looks a bit like Nopiming park
Where did the boat come from ? God drop it off for you ?
They're cashed all over. You respectfully borrow and put back where you found it.
That’s really great 👍
Is that your boat? And did you have to carry in the motor?
No, boats are stashed all over. You borrow and put back the way you find it. We bring in the motor and gas.
@@ElevationATV That is awesome! I know when we fly-in-fish there are adjoining lakes that have boats available. I need to move to Canada.
Yeah many of the lakes have boats all over. Some lakes they fly you and a motor in... boats are already there. We haul a 9.9 hp on the front of one quad, it's a fun adventure.
@@ElevationATV It looks like a bunch of fun. I'd love to do that someday.
@@wondermonkeyoutdoors it's a great mix of my favorite things. Fishing, camping, the outdoors and camping.
Probably gained weight from eating all the bugs
Protein is protein! Lol
