Ok but the fact that you put the pattern in the description makes it so convenient. Very thoughtful of you! Tnx a lot for this
🥰🥰🥰
Yeah it really really nice!
But the pattern was actually different from the video lol
Yess!!!
@@rosefeldasig172 I didn’t watch the video and just followed the written pattern and mine came out fine
im totally not getting mad at a stupid circle
update: AFTER BASICALLY 2 YEARS IVE DONE IT. I DID THE CIRCLE!!
I felt that
Felt
lmao took me 30+ minutes
i usually just chain 3 then slip stitch in the first chain as an alternative to the circle and it works!
I know that feel bro
Let’s normalise putting the pattern in the description....made this tutorial sooooooo much easier to follow. Thanks 🙏 🤩

@@iiXxamii they didn’t say that they didn’t 😅 I think you read the comment wrong!
Solution for continuing your hat after adding two more rows for the top of the hat.
General things before I start, I used a 3.5mm crochet hook and my yarn was either a 3 or a 4 (I have no idea how to figure out the yarn weight sorry). I ended up using around 186 yards / 170 m of yarn. I did 2 extra rows because the top of the hat wasn't able to reach 7 inches with 12 rows for my yarn. I couldn't find anyone who had figured out how to continue the hat after that so I decided to do some calculations and I think I found a solution. (finished my hat and it turned out fine). I've also indicated the stitch count for each row in the bracket because I found it useful.
Top of hat
Row 1: 6 sc [magic ring]
Row 2: 2 sc (12)
Row 3: 1 sc, inc (18)
Row 4: 2 sc, inc (24)
Row 5: 3 sc, inc (30)
Row 6: 4sc, inc (36)
Row 7: 5sc, inc (42)
Row 8: 6sc, inc (48)
Row 9: 7sc, inc (54)
Row 10: 8sc, inc (60)
Row 11: 9sc, inc (66)
Row 12: 10sc, inc (72)
Row 13: 11sc, inc (78)
Row 14: 12sc, inc (84)
The diameter of the top of my hat was around 7 inches (18cm) . You can adjust this based on your head circumference, mine was 22 inches (56 cm). Quick math reminder, use pi×diameter to get the circumference.
Side of hat
Row 15, 16: sc (84)
Row 17: 41 sc , inc , 42 sc (85)
Row 18: sc (85)
Row 19: 42 sc, inc, 42 sc (86)
Row 20: sc (86)
Row 21: 42 sc, inc, 43 sc (87)
Row 22: sc (87)
Row 23: 43 sc, inc, 43 sc (88)
Row 24: sc (88)
Row 25: 43 sc, inc, 44sc (89)
Row 26: sc (89)
Row 27: 44 sc, inc, 44sc (90)
Row 28 - 32 : sc (90)
I was trying to get the number of stitches to 90 by slowly increasing it so that the pattern would work for the brim. I'm not sure if it matters whether the inc you have is in the centre the whole time (someone can chime in below) but I guess you could do the increase anywhere you would like as long as you have the correct number of stitches when you finish the Row. My side was 3.5 inches (9 cm). Okay anyways with 90 stitches because its divisible by 5 you are able to use the brim pattern. So lets go to the brim pattern.
Brim of hat
Row 33: 4 sc , inc (110)
* If you follow 4sc, inc you will only get 108 stitches. You will need to replace any two sc with an inc instead. This will help you get 110 stitches *
Row 34: 10 sc , inc (120)
Row 35: 3 sc, inc (150)
Row 36-38: sc (150)
Row 39: 9 sc , inc (165)
Row 40 - 41: sc (165)
My brim was around 2 inches (5.5cm) wide
For Row 33 to work i needed my number of stitches to be divisible by 5 and for Row 34 to work the number of stitches had to be divisible by 11 thats why I had to improvise and add stitches. If you guys did any other number of rows for the top of your hat you can try using this technique to figure out the number of stitches you need. I just tried to figure out a nice number that worked with the pattern in the tutorial and doesn't require many modifications.
I hope this was helpful! I'm just a beginner and this is my 2nd project so haha sorry if this pattern is breaking any crochet rules, I was just using math to figure out how to follow the pattern. Let me know if you have any questions for this adaptation. If anyone one has any other tips you can leave them below! Thank you Lala for your tutorial!

@ ok. question: how, on the magic circle, did you tail end up on the same side as the hook? Mine keeps ending up on the opposite side, and I'm doing what you're doing but my tail isn't on the right side.
Hi i have a question because I'm using a more smaller yarn that yours i needed to make more rows for the top of the hat right. Now I'm just wondering since i made more rows which equals to making more SC for the brim of the hat, should i just follow the pattern and make 4 SC then increase ? Or should I make more then 4 SC ( for the brim of the hat row 27)
For myself :))

7:22= 3 Row (2 sc in every 2nd opening)
9:25= 4 Row (2 sc in every 3nd opening)

21:08= 10 Row (2 sc in every 9th opening)
21:14= 11 Row (2 sc in every 10th opening)

29:09= 29 Row (2 sc in 4th)

you literally taught me how to crochet!! this was my first ever crochet project and I just started yesterday night it took me hours to do this. I stayed up until 5AM this morning trying to finish this but I ended up finishing it later in the day after a good nights rest :) I have a whole playlist of your tutorials and I’m planning on making a top to match the hat! thank you for being so concise and informative! you’re the best ❤️
What do I use yarn?
I’m so glad that you did single crochet stitches rather than double because I’m having trouble making double stitches so thank you love your videos! ❤️
I love you so much I have literally have been trying to learn to crochet a bucket hat for like a month now and all the videos that I have watched are people who are not explaining the way I need it to be explained because it is my first time and I do not understand a world there saying
🥰 I’m so glad I could help 💕💕
You are so right I've also tried other tutorials but this tutorial is Brill. 😀
This is probably the first tutorial i've come across that genuinely felt beginner friendly omg :'^) I've been practicing with yarn for a little while now and this helped click a lot into place so thank you!!!
I feel most crochet tutorials say easy but end up being a lot harder than advertised as this was so easy so thank you! You explain everything so well and the fact you put the pattern in the desc was absolutely amazing ✨🤎
this was my second time ever crocheting after 2 years and i loved this tutorial! one of the best ones i’ve seen and i love my hat so much :)
Okay now plssss can we appreciate how she explained it all like so many times and so well, because this is literally the best tutorial I could find and my hat turned out sooo cuteee!! So thank you for doing that and pls never delet this video cause I will definitely crochet more of those hats

Thanks for simple and clear instructions, with regular speed crocheting, will definitely make another for my son as he is green with envy!

I just wanna say I love your whole tutorial, this is my very first time crocheting and the process was smooth. I did mess up a few times in the very beginning but once I got the hang of it, it was a smooth process. Literally just finished my hat ❤️❤️ thank you for this
This was a really beginner friendly! I did end up doing half double crochets because I like the way they look better but by far the easiest bucket hat tutorial, thank you!!
Wow yes it probably looks very cute with half double crochets!!! 😊I should try that.
And thank you for the nice comment 💕
hiya, im thinking of doing this myself did you have to change the pattern or rows in any way or was it just replace the sc with hdc?
@@vickyt5724 I know this is a pretty old comment, but just replace the sc with hdc. You might have to make less rows of the top of the hat, though, as hdc are a bit "taller" than sc

For anyone ending up with more or less stitches needed for any increase round, which is easy to do when you're accidently adding or missing a stitch or more as you crochet along, just add increase(s) or decrease(s) so you have the correct amount of stitches for the next increase round. I promise you will not notice anything amiss in the end. It turns out perfect every time!
How do you know how many stitches you need :) thanks for the tip
@@gracedalgarno2627 Idk if it will help you but this applies to amigurumis in general. (I am not a native English speaker)
The base of the work is the number 6. So normally all your carrers should be multiple of six.
Each round you do +1 sc × 6.
Ex:
Round 2: 12 stitches
Round 3: 18 stitches (1 sc + 1 inc)
Round 4: 24 (2 SC + 1 inc)
Round 5: 30 stitches (3sc + 1inc)
So you can count (SC + 2) ×6
"I don't know how many stitches are supposed to be in my 18 round :("
But you know that in the 18th round you do 14 sc and 1 increase six times so in the end you most to have 96 stitches. (14+2)×6
Ikr. I do the same thing whenever I'm missing a stitch, it's easier and more convenient than opening up the entire row
Where do I add my decreases and increases? I’m at row 28 right now, and I could only do 8 sc until I reach the end of the row (the pattern for row 28 is 10 sc 1 inc). Do i add a decrease to the last 2 stitches of the row and start a new row?
@@lynaluu5136 Wherever you want to add them. Any single stitch is ripe for an inc or dec (except for a dec stitch on the last stitch of a row since the dec stitch needs a following stitch to decrease), so, yes, the last 2 stitches is fine depending on how many stitches above or below the multiple of 11 you are. Personally, I prefer to space them out, and stay away from the last stitch (as mentioned above, you can't do a decrease on a stitch without a stitch following it, but you can increase), so I always count the total stitches before I start an inc row (of course hoping I'm at the right count and don't need to do any!)

Thank you for the tip!! 🙏💕 My hat came out better this way 💕
I'm pretty new at crocheting, do you mean in stead of sc when beginning every new row you should do the slip stitch? If yes then would that be counted as one of the sc you need or would you still have to do the extra sc in order to complete the amounts needed
@@taniabonilla4760 yes, and it would count as one sc
@@taniabonilla4760 it would be a slip stich after the last sc of the round and it would be an extra stich and wouldn’t count as a sc so you just do a slip stich at the end of each round (when you completed all sc needed) before you start the new round! 💗
It’s such a vibe. It’s snowing outside your window and you’re doing the stuff you like
So I just start crocheting like last week and this was my first ever project! I made a baby version and I know I made some mistakes but it ended up coming out better than I thought! Thank you so much for your video
This is the absolute best tutorial I’ve ever seen for crochet
🥰🥰🥰thank youu
Finally! A cord artist that is as UN bougie as me. Stitch marker 🙄 I always used a safety pin. I like how unkcondicending you are, it’s very refreshing
First bucket hat I have done, just added 2 extra rows (14 instead of 12). Love the written pattern was within the description. Very easy to follow.
This was literally so easy to understand! I loved it. I’ll definitely be trying this
I love how calming ur voice is. And super I just made a navy and white version
Hehehe thank youu 🥰
Love love love! Tried different videos but your guide was on point...
🥰 thank you 🙏🏼 I’m glad you enjoyed
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I made this and I am in love with the results. I gonna make another one for my mom. Hope she likes it.😄
Thank you so much. I can't usually follow written patterns but the one you wrote in comments is so easy. Thank you❤
This is by far the best bucket hat tutorial ! Also I checked out your other videos and I liked them so new subscriber😎
😭😭😭 thank you so muchhh 💕💕
I love how it turned out 💖 mine is pink with A STRAWBERRY ON IT
Tysmm!! My hat turned out great first try. I had been using another pattern and every time my hat would turn out huge so I was super excited when I finished it!
I watched 3 other videos that I failed miserably at before I got to yours. You explained everything in detail so well. I've only been crochet about 4 days and a bucket hat is my 3rd project.
Heyyyy, 😊
I just made my hat while watching Harry Potter... It took 5 hours and came out a little short, but for my fist big crochet project I'm totally fine with it. I'm in love ... Just followed you and I'm excited to do more of your tutorials. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
M.N
I'm almost done omg! Just doing the last two rows, the hat looks cool already waaaaaaaa
Edit: I'm done with the hat, it came out so cuteee. I think I'm gonna put some puffy flowers on it for decor
Did yours come out super big or do I go wrong somewhere? Mind ended up huge!
@@suzyeide2320 I had to do some adjustments like adding 5 more rows for the hat to sit on my head comfortably. You might want to subtract a few rows on yours perhaps?
Just finished my 3rd bucket hat and i finally got it to look exactly how i wanted it!
This tutorial was so easy to follow, so informative and so fun! The best hat tutorial
This was by far the easiest crocheting tutorial I have ever followed. Already halfway done with my hat! :D It’s a gray ombré and I can’t wait to wear it! Thank you, you’re very sweet.

I just come across your channel and I have to say I love how you explain everything step by step 👏🏽🤗❤️

I have never commented on a RUclips video before - but this tutorial was so wonderful and my hat is giving me more joy than ANYTHING I can remember crafting . You have got me totally hooked on crochet and truly brightened my days - thank you Lala Perez!!
Haha hooked. Was the pun intentional?
I love how easy this tutorial is because I have been making flowers with the same pattern as the middle part of a flower. So this should be perfect. Thank you so much for this, I'll give the hat to my gf after I finish it, hope it turns out good 😊
Great tutorial just finished it! Took me 3 hours!
Thats awesome!!! 🥰 I hope it came out well 💕
I just did my bucket hat and it’s so cute!!! I love this tutorial thank you so much
Ps. It took me like two tries to get the magic circle and everything right but don’t give up!
That’s great!!! And yeah the magic circle can be kinda hard at first but once you get it right you can use it for soooo many projects 😊
Two tries😀 it’s been roughly 22 minutes and I cannot do it😭
Made this hat for my daughter and she adores it!! Thank you for the pattern!!
I've done mine and its look amazing thanks to you you're really good at explaining /teaching and I used 2 colors its adorable
The beginning part is so hard omgg😭
How are yall finding it so easyyy im struggling here😫
What part are you struggling with?
I'm 11 and I'm doing it..it's fine I do crochet so understanding..I was crying because I couldn't do it..and now I'm getting it..
yeah you don't need to end on your stitch marker. you just need to end after your last increase at least
Fr, I’m so confused on the beginning
@@ashdeezenuts6362 you are 11- your still a beginner for this try crocheting easy things instead
thank you for the tutorial! i've done it with yellow top&side and white for the brim! i love the result so much even it's not perfect enough😊💗💗
I just finished this hat and it was the first thing I’ve ever crocheted and I LOVE it! Thanks for the super easy-to-follow video!
Did you have any issues with row 27?
Ok so whenever I tried doing the magic circle on my own IT WOULD BEND AND FOLD and it would make me so mad! I watched your video (in the process of making a bucket hat) and my circle actually came out flat. Thank you for the tutorial! :)
