Thank you so much for this helpful video, can I ask what type of needle you used? It went through all the layers of fabric so easily 😊

Thank you for your kind words! Any needle should be absolutely fine as you're just pushing through the layers of fabric and not the buckram. Hope this helps!

Nice! Love how you secure your knots. I learned a lot! Can you put pleats in outdoor curtains? I am currently making curtains and using clips with rings, but I’m wondering if I should’ve made pleats instead. I didn’t think you could use outdoors, but I could be wrong. I’m using a fabric called Sunbrella, which is an outdoor waterproof fabric. Thank you!

Yes you could definitely try! It might be difficult to get perfect pleats due to the stiffness of the fabric but it's possible. Let us know how you get on!
      Kind regards,

This particular fabric is not stiff however, I’ve decided not to use pinch pleats since the curtains can be seen on both sides. Thanks for your response!

I need to know if the needed curtain is 2.7 m wide, we buy 2.7x3m of fabric, right? Some even say 2.7x2.5m of fabric is enough, anyway, either way; how much a single plead must be in width? And how many centimetres between each plead and the other? How to calculate it so we have evenly distributed pleads without excess fabricb on either side of the curtain????
    Thank you in advance

      Hi,
We'd recommend using our fabric calculator to work out how much fabric is needed, that can be found here: www.justfabrics.co.uk/window/calculator-curtains.php?id=3257. Alternatively, head over to our website to view a longer article that can explain everything in more detail: www.justfabrics.co.uk/inspiration/how-much-fabric-do-i-need-for-curtains/.
We explore the single pleat further in this video with Louise here: ruclips.net/video/60WQRCV8MoQ/видео.html. Hopefully this answers all your questions but please get back in touch if you have anymore.
      Kind regards,

What did you do in order to hang them after making the pleats?

      Hi,
All hand finished headings use pin hooks. You guide these through the join in the buckram on each of the pleats. Hope this helps!
