Just subscribed. Your illustration on spacing for pleats was a no-brainer. I've looked at others' explanations and oh, it made me dizzy. Yours can be understood by a 3rd grader. Thanks so much.
Best in class. No chit-chat, organized, simple, clear instructions. Wish I'd seen this first--would have saved hours. First saved video in a new sewing playlist.
This is the best, easiest-to-understand explanation for making lined, pleated curtains. All the other videos I've watched end up sounding like the teacher on Peanuts. Wah, wah, wah, wah, wah. Thanks for the simple, no-brainer explanation.
I'm thriving off of your vibe. First impression; you could be speaking on any subject at all & it would have me insta-jazzed. You could be like "The exciting world of lint!" & I'd be like "yaaaaaas"
Super professional, thank you so much for your clear instructions. I was dreading starting my curtains which have a 12 foot drop! You have given me the confidence to nail it.
Wonderful, clear instructions and camera placement. Thank you so much!! I now feel quite confident to create beautiful drapes for my new home. I will watch you in the future as my projects continue. Thank You!!
I’ve watched this so many times I know it by heart! Making my first set of lined drapes and the directions are so helpful and easy to follow. It’s a big project! 24 yards of fabric & 24 yards of lining but so far so good!! On to pleats tomorrow! Thank you so much 🧵 🪡
You know, I’m an advanced seamstress, but I had no clue how this was done! Never came up! LOVE your style and your expertise! I’m a follower , for sure!
I've made drapes before but never pinch pleats as the explanation were mind-boggling difficult. This is easy to follow and makes the whole process doable.. thank you
Love your presentation of pleated drapes. I've always wanted to make a vintage copy of my father's drapes that we still have in my childhood home. Thanks to your very thorough techniques, now I can. Thank you so much!
You should have so many more followers. I started watching this because I was asked to make some inverted triple pleated curtains and did not know what they were. Now I know with confidence that I can do the job, and do it well. You are a fantastic teacher.
You are a very good teacher! Thank you so much. I've made curtains before, but never a pinch pleat so the math was really hanging me up. You made it very do-able. Thank you! I am now your newest subscriber. Keep up the good work!
Thank you...I have been hunting this info for days...Great tutorial...I got it!!!!! Now I can finish my ready made drapes...I just wanted to put a french pleat to dress them up a bit...
So glad I found your video. It is the best one I found that really explains all the steps, especially the math. Thanks. I have to replace our room darkening RV drapes and now I’m not so intimidated.
This was a great combination of explaining and showing how it’s done. You nearly lost me starting off with math, but I was interested in the finished product, so I hung around. Glad I did. Good stuff. Thank you.
I've made three sets of drapes with your grommet panel tutorial! It's so easy to follow and the drapes turn out beautifully. When I was searching for a tutorial to make pleated drapes, I was so happy that I came across this one!! I will definitely be using this video to make a set for our guest room.
This is absolutely the best tutorial for making curtains. I am very rusty at sewing and just recently decided to embrace my fears. I have watched many sewing tutorials on many different sewing things just to be more confused. So I would move on to the next video. This is by far the best ever. Thank you for your emaculent explanation. It was very clear and I understood every instruction. I'm saving this video for future reference.
I tried to learn how to make drapes from a book years ago and it made my head hurt. You made it all clear in just 30 minutes. Thanks for helping me get closer to my goal of a 40's style wall o' drapes to hide a wonky wall.
I loveeeeeeeee your video. Thank you for the clear, concise instructions that got me in the mood to sew these curtains. I looked at other videos, in one of them the guy was using a marker that kept scrawling my blood. I can't begin to tell you what a breath of fresh air your video is. Believe it or not I went out the next day and bought my fabric. I had to subscribe to your channel. I don't care if you are showing me how to bathe a dog, I want to see your videos. Keep up the fantastic work.
I'm frm Malaysia and I'm new at making curtains..especially the ones with pleats and I think this is the best and the most easiest tutorial ever. Thanks for sharing. 👍👍👍
Great video!! I bought some nice curtains thinking they were pleated already but they were not. I found out how to solve the problem with your great video!
Thanks so much for the tutorial A friend mine wants to hire me to make her some and after watching your tutorial I am confident that I can do it. btw we have the same sewing machine and I love mine.
I'm less than two minutes into the video and have subscribed. Reading the comments gives me hope that I can do lined, pinch-pleated drapes too - the math seems mind-boggling to me.
Thank you for such an enjoyable tutorial. You explain things so clearly and make it seem so easy because of the excellent communication. Great teacher!
Tutorial was very clear. My finished curtain looked great. I have never pleated a curtain before but I am ripping out the pleats on one panel to recalculate the spacing and pleats. Thankfully I hadn’t sewed the other panel. When the curtains are opened, the majority of the curtain would be in front of the window making the window look narrow and blocking the light. Fortunately I have enough curtain to allow for the recalculation of the extra width needed. I’ll know next time.
Fantastic video, thank you so much for making it! Such clear instructions, I feel much more confidant now about making my pinch pleat curtains, it will be the first time I've ever made curtains, after 50 odd years of sewing everything else but :)
Thank you sooo much for this tutorial. I’ve watched loads of videos, and read lots of information on various websites, but your video has, by far, been the best tutorial. You make the workings out so easy to understand. I can’t wait to finish my headings now. Would these instructions apply for other headings like box pleat and goblet please?
Great tutorial. I have made one set of pleated draperies for my D-I-L and they look great. I am in the planning stages for one for my home but am having trouble finding the header tape you suggest. Can you give a suggestion or link? It seems so much of what I find is "pleater tape" which seems cumbersome. Thanks.
