That young lady's work ethic is impressive, besides the fact she knows how to turn a wrench too! Just a thought Scott, when your shop is up you could designate one area for showing samples of the parts in the Detroit Diesels like the liners you showed in this video, a BGM Museum of sorts!
Those repairs look like a real team effort. A power surge took out the blower motor in my old furnace. My neighbor lost the compressor in his new Carrier condensing unit. I installed a whole house surge protector to help protect the electronics in the house.
That’s one amazing young lady! I hope she continues to learn mechanical skills and possibly makes a trade of it. She should be very proud of her skills and work ethic. Nicely done!
Need a clamp down for the laptop now that the brakes work! As everyone said, getting the daughter involved may be the start to great things. Lastly thanks to the family and Scott/Tyler for bringing this story to us. Bus was seriously sick and getting worse.
I remember reading about these busses when I worked as a mechanic for a Brooklyn bus company. When is one of the bus mags Hausman I beleive Leased these 35' busses with roof heat shields to a company in Saudi Arabia and after the lease was up they shipped them back to the US and listed them for sale in the magazine.
The last time I had seen a Luna Moth 2013 I was very blessed to have it land on my hand. Such a shame they don't have a mouth, but fly around to mate then die.

Scott I'm not sure if you or someone answered my question on your video before this one but why the yellow color on the engine was there some particular reason? Mine is yellow and have always wondered why. Thanks and love your work you and Tyler do and letting the owners get hands on experience and the knowledge working with you. Thanks again for sharing.
g’day everyone, Kevin here from Australia. Great video a bit of everything and what an awesome bus to work on . Did you do an inside tour of this and I’ve just missed it. But a question I’ve been meaning to ask you Scott . How is it working the long hours with Tyler I remember way back working with my dad and I cherish the memories. Anyhoo again great video you guys stay safe and healthy. ✌️. Peace.
Scott, Considering it wouldn’t climb the hill presuming the engine is electronic did you check to verify it was 100 % throttle? Just thinking out loud. Food for thought

Hi Scott - this is a very neat looking bus but why is it called a 'Saudi'? Also, do you think the sand-coloured paint on the engine is because it has been remanufactured or simply because someone got happy with spare paint. (Here in the UK a remanufactured/reconditioned engine is sometimes repainted in a different colour to distinguish it from the original).
All that work rolling bearings. Talk of low oil pressure and capacity, never said anything on how these fixes raised oil pressure or not. I like the videos.. but they leave some important things out.
Some of your videos are hard to follow you start a job and then go on to something else and we don't see the finish of the first job I like watching your work but sometimes you jump all over the place.
I think its great u let people come in and rent spots you have a great heart love your channel keep up the great work..❤
With all the hard work the young lady put into that bus, she deserved the chance to drive it.
Its great to see a young person getting dirty learning how to fix things, the young lady here is a credit to her parents. 👍
@@dcallan812 Not many men her age could live up to her abilities and eagerness to learn and get stuff done.
I don't think she's old enough which makes it all the more remarkable that she is willing to put all that work into it.

Having everyone help out with the repairs makes them invested in it more so it is unlikely that maint. will be ignored in the future. GOOD JOB!

Job well done and a very satisfying road test. Beautiful coach for a beautiful family. I wish you all much enjoyment.
That young woman deserves a channel of her own.

Nice MCI MC-5C. Kind of surprised that Greyhound brought them back at the end of the lease. Great repurposing of the former rear door space too. 👍
Another good video! Thank you. Watching from Los Angeles, CA Steve Miller.

Ugh...my knees are hurting just watching the young lady kneel on that concrete. lol
Am I mistaken or did that engine start several times with one revolution of the crankshaft? Amazing!!
One attribute that 2-stroke Detroits are also known for. First crank of the start motor and the engine gets right at it immediately. Amazing indeed
Scott and Tyler an- other great video for sure.

Ever worked on air-over-hydraulic brakes? Some vehicles have air-over-hydraulic in the front and air in the back.
Was there significant improvement in oil pressure with the new bearings?
