  • We unpack the new HPR Alternator from Powermaster. This new alternator is their replacement for hairpin technology cranking out up to 145 amps at idle where you really need the power. These direct-fit alternators are available for most muscle cars and late model engines including aftermarket accessory drives.

Your lucky. I ordered the 8142 1 wire and got no pulley. The pulley is a 17mm bore and I had to go with a 6 groove pulley (4 groove is not avaliable) and had to install a 62mm o.d. pulley due to my rpm's will reach ad high as 9000 engine rpm, that's 22k plus rpm for the alternator reaching its max ability.

@InGearGaragw: Question Tod, what gauge ground wire you using as a ground cable? BTW love your channel.

Thanks for subscribing! It is recommended to use the same gauge ground wire as you're using for the charge cable. Of course, the charge cable gauge is dictated by the output of the alternator and length to the battery...in the pic, we used -2 for the charge and ground cable.
